My friends and I traveled all the way from Indiana to celebrate a special birthday and we spent a large part of our day with the men of Coco Beach Tattoo Company. I was not comfortable with the piercer.  I am positive she lied about the metal in the jewelry.I simply went in to purchase a seamless segment ring for my nose piercing (I had lost my piercing and needed to buy something that day) but was also meeting piercers for my next piercing.  I was told to wait at the front while she checked what she had.  There was no display stand or jewelry to browse.  She came out with, literally, a handful of loose jewelry.  Assorted sizes of hoops but no seamless segments.  I asked what they were made of/what brand and she said 'titanium. don't worry, it's the good stuff' and they were $5 a piece.  I couldn't remember my size but she eyeballed me and told me I was 'probably' x size.  I instantly knew it was bs but I wasn't sure what else I'd be able to find and decided to take it.  Worst case scenario I could put it in on a drive to further away to find real jewelry.  I really didn't want my piercing to close up and historically I have spontaneous closure of piercings.  She went into the back and came back out a few mins later with the jewelry in a baggie of 'cold sterilizing solution' and I was told to wait at least 5 mins before putting it in.  She immediately walked away and never came back.  The music at the front was far too loud, seating and waiting space near the door was minimal and awkward to be honest.  Can not comment on the tattoo side.I wound up going to Endless Summer afterwards (I was just hitting shops as I drove) and met an amazing woman who actually measured my piercing, had seamless segmented hoops, knew brands, metal composition, sizes, reasonable jewelry prices, autoclaved the jewelry, and put it in for free.  I've since had her do a piercing for me and it was my top piercing experience to date.  Because of this, I never ended up using the nose ring I purchased at Cocoa Beach Tattoo Company.So, back to the 'titanium jewelry'.  I never want to state things that are not true in reviews.  First I put a magnet to it and it stuck so I was like 'BAM NOT TITANIUM' but upon further research I learned titanium can be magnetized so I threw out that test.  A spark test is fairly easy to do and produces very accurate results...so I did that.  I feel I can safely state that the jewelry is NOT titanium.  It sparked a dark yellow/orange color and based on defined metals put up against a grinder it appears to be stainless steel (titanium is very unique in that it sparks white).I hate liars and I hate dishonest people.  In the business of body altercation trust is paramount.  A client must trust that a shop is using high quality materials and is honest about what their jewelry is made of.  I am sensitive to most metals, I will react to stainless steel.  If I had put that trash in my nose and started seeping pus, became red and swollen, etc...I would have been furious.I can not trust that shop in any capacity now.I would not recommend going to Cocoa Beach Tattoo Company for a piercing.
