I’ve gone to this place for my 2nd tattoo and had no issues at all. I Called today to have my sister get her first tattoo and when i called they told me that they had time for a walk in, we go in and all the sudden the judgement starts. The tattoo artist asked for her drawing and it was of a SMALL Roman numeral tattoo. All the sudden he looks at her and says “yeah I have a lot to draw up,maybe tomorrow. MEANWHILE two people in the back are mumbling to each other and staring at my sister and I. I understand that we may look young but I am BEYOND annoyed that it went from a yes or a no just by them seeing us as we walked in the door. I've been tattoo by both Benny and Nick (the manager), and i was very impressed with both. This is one of the most polite shops ive ever been to. Nick did mine during the Friday the 13th rush, but even with the insane crowd he kept his cool, didn't make me feel like he was rushing, and he made sure every piece was perfect (his line work is supurb). Benny i went to several months ago, and even as a walk in he really took the time to make sure I was happy with the piece before starting. He was super friendly and even tho it was a small piece he took the time to make sure the shading was perfect. First time at Atomic. Good vibes and a professional atmosphere is what I walked into. Ben helped me every step of the way and did a fast and professional job. Had zero worries after the first few minutes. While I was getting my tattoo done, I watched a member of the staff give a very professional answer to a young lady stating that he would not put a tattoo on her side neck and the reason why. Let me start out by saying that Nick is an AMAZING artist! I came in a few weeks ago when my horse passed away to get a small horse shoe with angel wings on the side of my left foot. It came out incredible! He also gave me an incredible price! Today, I went back to Nick to get a cover-up tattoo on a previous tattoo I had gotten years ago. This tattoo came out absolutely amazing!!!! I LOVE it! He gave me a great price and best of all it did not hurt! While I was getting it done I picked out my next tattoo to come back and get done! He's very artistic and captures my vision every time. The customer service here is exceptional. All of the artists are very friendly. The environment is nice to be in. I went in with a friend to have her septum done, I wasn't expecting much from a chain, but being new to Florida I was just there for support. We were greeted by the piercer, Lanie, and she took excellent care of my friend from start to finish! I was really impressed by her enthusiasm, her extensive knowledge, and the fact that even though my friend was her client she still took the time to acknowledge me as well! I was so impressed I went in the next day for my own piercing and left incredibly happy. I can't explain enough how well Lanie treated us! We kept asking her questions and she always had a professional answer, never once did she make us feel dumb about what we were asking. On top of that she made it very clear that if we ever had any issues with the jewelry or needed something replaced to just stop in. A few days later one of the captive balls on my friend's septum fell off... So we popped back in, she greeted us, remembered us, and while she got my friend squared away with her septum she even checked in with me about my own piercing and how it was healing. Was not impressed with this location. When I walk into any business I expect to be greeted right away. I stood in this place for 5-10 min and the only person to say anything to me was someone waiting for someone else getting a tattoo. I looked at their wall and some of the workbooks on the counter (all the while waiting for someone to say hello) then finally went to this young lady at the register and asked her if there was someone I could talk to about a tattoo. One of the artist kind of casually walked up and asked me what he could do for me. I was thinking to myself (you can act like you want me to spend my money here). He did seem knowledgeable and was willing to listen to my ideas and added a few of his own which were pretty cool sounding. The jury is still out on me going back there, to actually have it done. . Jeremy gave me my first tat on december 13th 2011 not only was he very nice he easied my fears about my first tat. He is amazing at script which the other artist in the shop said he was the best and they where not joking. He has done five tats in script on me now and I plan to go back to him for my next two. It's been years and I can't remember for the life of me who did my tattoo, but I'm sure the quality hasn't gone up since. My tattoo was done at the Tampa Am at the Skatepark Of Tampa as a promotion for Atomic Tattoos. This was 4 years ago. It was one of the ""artists"" first day on the job as the other was bragging to a friend of his while also bragging about how he's not checking I.D.'s (real class acts!). I tell him I want the logo tattooed on my shoulder and away we go. It felt like he was using a jackhammer on my shoulder, and a few days later, I noticed the points on the star weren't touching. I went to Hot Box Tattoo in Brandon to get it touched up, and realized that he didn't connect the points because the star was all uneven. After getting the star touched up, I also realized that the skyline on one side of the star is much higher than the other side. Thankfully, the tattoo isn't beyond repair, and a true artist can fix it, but these clowns shouldn't be allowed near human skin. ""If you are not getting tatted here you are not getting what you pay for"" Yeah, because RedLetter1, Imperial Iron, Hotbox, Toy Machine, and 1603 aren't all around the same price, with much better artists... this is hands down the best shop in brandon, when i came in to get my tattoo they were very busy but still fit me into the schedule for the day. I am extremely picky with who i let tattoo me as i have been all over this country getting tattooed by the likes of grime, tim lehi, edu cerru, and etc. the tattoo i wanted was simple from the other few shops around i felt that their work was not up to par compared to these guys. also i would like to say that all of the staff were friendly and clean. My husband went in together and each get a couple piercings for his birthday.Having each had a good experience with piercings here before, done by Brandi, we came back. My husband got snake bites, and I was getting a labret and my other nostril done. When we got there, Brandi was not there, but we figured the piercings were basic enough. Well, the guy botched both of my piercings big time. They looked okay at first, but my labret healed completely angled and off-center. My nostril healed slightly uneven with the other one and at a weird angle, but for a while it didn?t look too bad and I really wanted so badly to be happy with it. When I finally came out of denial about how bad my labret was about a month later, I went back to find out what could be done about it. I was moving in two weeks, so I knew it was possible that it couldn't be corrected in time. Conveniently, the piercer who had done it was not there. I spoke to another guy there, and he acknowledged that it was bad. ""No one is perfect,"" he said casually. He recommended I take it out and told me it would take at least a month to heal up to be repeirced. I was not offered any type of refund or anything. The guy just suggested I come back when that piercer returned and, ""see if maybe he would redo it for free,"" even after I had explained that I wouldn?t be living in the state by then. In disbelief and a certain level of shame, I just left and counted it up to experience. My nostril piercing become more and more uneven as it healed. This may have been due to the fact that it got hideously infected and swollen after 3 months. After struggling for about 10 months to properly heal the now very uneven nostril piercing, I finally decided to take it out also. My husband still has his piercings, although one of them has the same problem of being at a weird angle that makes changing the jewelry very painful. Between my husband and I we have 16 tats my husbands last 2 were gotten here. We will not go any where else fron now on. The work is fantastic and the prices were the cheapest around. The atmostphere was relaxing and the staff was great. They worked with my husband when he wanted lil changes and offered opinions that made his tat super. I have no idea what those others were complaining about. Yes we had to make an appointment, walkins are rare for they are that busy. Now a place that is that busy can not be all bad. My husband and I went there to get mostly matching Pisces tattoos. When someone finally offered to help, we told him what we were looking for. He said we needed to figure out what we wanted, before he wasted his time drawing something. We asked if he had some samples we could look at, and he directed us to find it on the wall. They had ONE sample on the wall. We hung around for several minutes, then finally left and went to the Crimson Anchor in Tampa, where Tim drew up two very similar, (but slightly different) symbols, and we love them! Read Less
