Don't waste your time or money here. I went in to get my first tattoo and from the beginning the people weren't very friendly or helpful. Nonetheless we started talking to the guy and the artist and decided to make an appointment. The guy told us to come back in an hour which would have been 415. I walked in at 420 and the guy started waving his hands saying that I am late and that I should never be late. I was dumb founded for a second and not sure why he was being nasty. I was honestly waiting for him to say that he was only joking. I was 5 mins late! I did apologize about it but he just kept going on and on. At this point Im like why am I even going to let this lunatic tattoo me! I told him to keep the money. He honestly looked like he needed it more than me. My sister however did fight for the money back because of the way we were treated. They were totally unprofessional and rude. Save your time and money. There are better places in Ybor City. Went with my sister to support her on getting her first tattoo. From the minute we walked in it was horrible service. We asked questions and it was if we were inconveniencing them. My daughter asked about piercings and they were very short with her so I had to intervene to get some proper answers. Even though we were not impressed with the professionalism my sister still decided to make an appointment to get her tattoo. They told us to be back at about an hour and 15mins. We were 5 mins late because we were looking for parking. As soon as we walked in the tattoo artist with a firm voice told us that we were late and they don't put up with that while waving his hands around. We apologized and explained our situation but he still felt like he needed to show us how upset he was. I told him he was being extremely unprofessional. My sister at this point just wanted to leave because she was not going to let him give her a tattoo with this type of attitude. I wanted to leave as well but not without the $20 deposit she left him. He was not going to give us anything back until we made it known to the the manager what had just happened. Once he heard us telling the manager what happened he came back and said here take your money and leave. I do not recommend giving this place your money or your time. I went here with my wife to get her nose pierced last Sunday. We called to see if she needed an appointment and they said walk ins were fine. We went a couple hours later and as soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted. There were a few other customers in the shop but we didn't have to wait around at all for someone to help us. My wife filled out the paperwork and then we were taken back to get it done. Cathy explained everything really well and we felt confident the whole time. We were in and out within 10 minutes. She was very thorough and efficient! We also had put 2 year old son with us and the other artists were saying hi to him and playing with him. We had a really great experience and will for sure be going back for tattoo work and piercings in the future. And on top of all of that, the piercing was extremely affordable. Classic Ink Tattoos & Comics. We came for the comics. The tattoo area is in the back. Staff was nice and offered to help but we just wanted to take our time and look at the variety of new and old comics. Nice and organized.  Tidy. There are shelves and shelves and boxes and boxes of old and new comic and new and old figures. I had my cartilage and my lobes pierced here on two separate occasions. Nurse Kathy was calm, collected, and made sure I was 100% okay with the piercing before she did it. She put marker dots on my ears to make sure I was okay with the placement, then did the piercing with a traditional needle (not a gun). It was over in an instant. Afterwards, she gave me a card with information on how to take care of my piercing, and encouraged me to buy the saline spray at the counter (which, I do recommend). Both my piercing sessions were around $50 and were totally worth it in such a relaxed atmosphere. Read Less

My niece & I went to get matching tattoos before she went back to the USAF. When we got there, 3 guys were standing outside & really didn't want to be bothered with us. One out of the 3 talked to us. We showed him what we wanted done & he said that it couldn't be done unless it was much larger. Actually he had a bunch of reasons why this was just impossible. These guys were rude & weren't interested in our money. My guess it is because we didn't want some stupid, demonic comic book tattoo. I cannot understand how they got more than 1 star. Obviously they are busy enough (no customers were there) and don't need any new customers. I personally don't want to even give them 1 star. We were glad to leave & go somewhere else where the people we met were very nice & respectful & did our tattoos perfectly with no problems at all. Plus their prices were very reasonable. I am absolutely blown away at how talented Scott Away is! My first tattoo was back in 2011 and I knew at the end of my first session that nobody else would ever tattoo me again besides Scott! He is so amazing and so patient (so if it's your first time- don't worry!!!) I literally spent 2 years before getting my first tattoo searching for the perfect artist- and I finally found Scott.... i got my entire ribcage done for my first tat- and was blown away at how perfect it is. Both times I have been here, the artist are sitting around and are very unfriendly and un-approachable. When I asked if they could incorporate items in tattoo the respomse was a bland "email it to me ill see what I can do". How about some enthusiasm?! Or just be personable! I agree with the other comments. I have been to this shop before and got the same feeling. They are also extremely expensive and work is just ok. I will not be back. I went in and saw Jess and she did absolutely amazing! I asked for a Scorpio with a rose on its stinger and it's just absolutely beautiful. She talked me through the whole thing, showed me some variations of the tattoo I wanted and different sizes and in the end, it worked out amazingly. 10/10 would recommend. Read Less

Jessica Specht just finished a large Joker/Harley Quinn tattoo on my upper arm. Over the 2 sittings, she was amazing. Not only was she gentle and friendly, she laid down the ink with beautiful precision and artistry. It came out even better than expected. I wish I could post a pic so people could see how awesome it is. I also previously received a small Deadpool belt buckle and a Captain America shield from Tyler, also done well. So my partner and I walked into this studio to ask about a tattoo he wanted to get on the inside of his wrist. He wanted the Hitachino owl encircled by a sun. Maybe about the size of a half dollar (the owl). Now we both look like first timers, pretty conservative looking, in our early 40s but the reaction and attitude we received made me feel a bit discriminated. We were told that it could not be done that small. It would have to be much bigger and it would be $200. That being said, they were booked until Friday (this was Wednesday night). All the artists were hanging out watching TV and really didn't have much interest in us.My significant other, is a Marine, so under his shirt he has plenty of tattoos relating to his combat action and service to our country. I also have a small marine life tattoo with detail and we have plenty of friends of which have amazing tattoos with significant, small and colorful detail. Maybe if we showed up with piercings, and and my hair dyed purple with a mohawk I would have received better service. I don't know but the experience was very disappointing. Read Less

We came in close to closing asking for two tattoos that were small but detailed. They were very reasonably priced and they worked very fast and beautifully. The two tattoo artists who were at work, despite their different styles still managed to make the tattoos look like a set. (Skeleton key and heart shaped locket) the days that followed there was no inflammation either. They were awesome. I'd recommend them to anyone. Read Less
