Chastity was very patient when designing a shape and extremely skilled and efficient when completing my brow. She starting sizing my brows up from the moment we met so I had plenty of confidence that she would do a great job. There is a reason Dollistic doesn't get negative reviews. After my first microblading session I ended up very unhappy with the results. This was part due to my inability to articulate my wants and in part due to a new artist. I was ready to give up and wait it out until the brow faded enough to get it redone in a year or two. I asked for a refund and Emily begged me to come in and meet with her, promising to either redo the brows in a way I would like more or a removal. Emily listened to my concerns and ended up redoing my brows herself, including an additional touch up. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the results. What can I say about this place that isn't evident in their pictures.... 20 years ago I over plucked my brows- as is the curse with any girl who grew up in the 90's- I've tried everything to get them to look half as good as they do now... with half the success. I stumbled upon their IG on accident and was INSTANTLY hooked into microblading. It's a semipermanent makeup that gets drawn on to your brows with a device that looks like a pen. When I originally tried booking my appointment I tried to get Emily, but she was booked so I chose to go with one of their Premier artists, Christina-- I am SO glad I chose her! She took the time to go over photos of brows I had on my phone, measured my bone structure and drew on my brows till we decided on a shape. I was insanely nervous when I first got there, but Christina quickly made me feel like one of her girlfriends and the session was relatively painless. I am so happy with my brows now!! It's been exactly one week since I had my first Microblading procedure ever in life completed. My service was provided by Christina and she was the absolute best! I actually felt blessed and as if the stars had aligned perfectly to match me with her level of care and professionalism. It didn't hurt that she's an absolute sweetheart and has the kindest demeanor. ;-)To begin, the booking process was seamless! I went online and secured an appointment within two weeks by paying a 50% deposit. My appointment was confirmed and I received pre-care instructions via email well in advance. I also received an appointment reminder via email and a telephone call approximately 48 hours prior to my appointment. The email included parking options which were very helpful upon arrival since I'm unfamiliar with the area. When I arrived, Christina was prompt and timely with greeting me and beginning my appointment. I truly appreciated this and recognized it because service providers are often oblivious to appointment times and seem to disregard the etiquette of timeliness. Prior to even touching my brows, Christina took her time explaining the entire process from start to finish as well as what to expect during the healing process. Christina patiently drafted up personalized brows based upon my facial structure and welcomed my desired outcome and input. It was a pleasant collaboration because she continuously inquired about my likes, dislikes, and possible areas of modification prior to finalizing her design. She also discussed the need for the perfect ink color combo based upon cultural heritage and background, which was another indication of her attention to detail. Once the process began, Christina was very intuitive, observant, conscientious of my nervousness, and patient with my pain sensitivity. She voluntarily gave me intermittent breaks and was very kind about it. Although Christina was open to my thoughts, she ultimately used her obvious expertise to create the perfect eyebrows for my face! Christina is an amazing find! One week later, the healing process has proceeded exactly as she explained and for that I appreciate her transparency and thoroughness. I was very impressed with her level of service and am looking forward to finalizing the process via my touch-up in a month or so. Christina not only has the warmest disposition, but her level of talent has made a lifelong trusting customer out of me! P.S. Oh and it also doesn't hurt one bit that I've received multiple compliments during the past seven days regarding how nice strangers think my brows look. Was super nervous before my appointment! I don't have any permanent body modifications as I'm terribly afraid of that kind of commitment. I went in for my first appointment with Rhonda and saw several other women getting eyebrow work done. Within a few minutes I was totally excited to undergo microblading. I was probably super annoying since I asked what felt like a million questions while Rhonda was trying to do work on my face - but she answered every question with a smile, a sense of humor, and some serious knowledge about everything she was doing. The first time I went under the blade I didn't feel any pain. I just experienced some swelling and tenderness toward the end, so Emily and Rhonda made the decision to fill in everything a little more during my touch-up. The several weeks I was healing I kept making mental notes of what I liked and what could be filled in a little more. I also was an absolute idiot and let my face be in the sun - DO NOT do that. The ink will fade and turn an ashy blue (and Emily will call you out on it!). Thankfully, during the touch-up Rhonda was able to correct my stupid mistakes and we went with a darker color and some really beautiful hair-like strokes. I am so insanely pleased with how everything came out that I've been recommending Dollistic to everyone. I get compliments all the time on my eyebrows, and on days where I wear minimal makeup I still feel put-together. I cannot recommend the ladies here highly enough! Read Less

Everyday that I look on the mirror I just about cry at my horrible brows.  Just because there is a waitlist and impeccably cute decor does not mean that this establishment gets a pass at poor customer service and bad artistry.  The website and instruction sheet needs to CLEARLY explain that your brows do not stay on your face.  They shave most of them off, raise your brows to a super high arch ARGUE with you when you express concern to "trust the process" and then you are stuck.  After complaining to my artist and later the owner I did receive a refund (after a guilt trip and unprofessional text msgs).  I did not like the service.  Point blank period.  My brows were not what I liked, I DID not receive "3D hair strokes" I received a horribly PAINFUL shaded in tattoo that looked like I got it at the nail shop.  Then it disappeared.  When it very faintly reappeared 5 weeks later the arch was so high it was almost touching my hairline, smh!  Then the owner insisted I come back in for a touch up or two which I declined.  Why? I don't need an excruciatingly painful touch up or two of a SHADED in tattoo of a shape I explained that I hated since day one. Do your research and make sure you know what you're getting into.  I had to FIGHT for my refund and still suffer from looking at the very faint remnants of my nail shop looking eyebrow tattoo--NOT 3D hair strokes at all!  I've seriously been considering tattoo removal because it's so bad. I had microblading done two weeks ago with Emily, one of the owners, and in still thrilled with the results. I was nervous because the treatment is semi-permanent and it's your FACE, so if they mess up, your face is screwed. I was immediately put at ease because the place is very nice, clean and chic.  Emily talked through the process and took her time designing my eyebrows with pencil first until we arrived at a place that we both were happy with, which didn't take long because Emily is meticulous and talented. When I said to Emily that they must be doing well because it took me months I get an appointment, she explained that it's difficult for them to grow quickly because not everyone has the natural talent to do eyebrows like this, even after training. I was really impressed by this; Instead of capitalizing on a really in-demand service, they're keeping the business small in order to ensure 100% satisfaction and perfection with clients. Emily explained the healing stages that your eyebrows go through, and currently they are lighter than day one, but I haven't experienced peeling or pain. I'm  excited for my touch-up. Emily being a senior and one of the Partners helped in the beginning and came by to give a second look and fresh eyes which was great and Lizzeth (another senior and partner) popped by during my first consultation as well with input. It was nice that they worked as a team to insure that the client was getting the best service! Christina was my main artist and did most of my initial appointment and all of my touch up 6 weeks later. She was very both professional and meticulous with the details. She measured my face and re-measured my face which I appreciated. We spoke about what I wanted and what would look good with the symmetry of my face and went from there. Thank you Rhonda and Emily for rocking my brow world!  It took me a long time to get the courage to get my brows permanently "done", and I'm so happy that I took the plunge with Dollistic-DC Dollhouse!  These ladies are true artists.  What they do, and the magic they work is not easy.  It takes hours of patience, so you know that they have to love what they do! Although I had brows when I walked in, they were very thin and I think aged my face.  I brought a few pics of the brows that I liked, and Rhonda took the time to meticulously measure the various angles of my face and took the shape of my face into consideration when deciding how my final brows would look - which I was relieved about because these new brows are permanent! The atmosphere of the salon is also very nice.  Small, nicely decorated. If you want roll-out-of-bed fabulous eyes with no makeup, I suggest you get your eyelash extensions done here. No mascara needed. I'm addicted to my new natural lashes that really make my eyes pop. Lizzeth was my eyebrow artist. She is amazing. It came out very natural and symmetrical--very important. Im very happy with the results and plan to go back when the pigment fades.
