Tina is hands down the best tattoo artist i have ever been to. She is extremely professional yet down to earth and easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and isn't afraid to tell you that she thinks a different artist would be a better fit for your tattoo needs. I came in 2016 for my birthday and got a gorgeous tattoo. A whole year later and the colors are still perfect! I got my ears and eyebrow pierced and while they didn't last very long (I'm apparently not a piercing sort of person lol) they were administered perfectly by a skilled and licensed piercer. Just got my first tattoo here this past Saturday! Since I am at school I cannot go to the shop that I usually go for piercings back home, so after some research Poppycock Tattoo seemed like the best place in the area! Since it was my first tattoo, I was pretty nervous (especially since I've heard that the rib cage is one of the more painful areas) but Eric was really great. Everyone there was patient with me and all of my questions and it wasn't anywhere near half as bad as I was expecting! I would definitely do it again, especially since it turned out perfectly. Eric has done quite a few ear piercings for me, and each time I walk in, and am out within 20 minutes or less. The staff here is very kind and very helpful. Their jewelry selection is lovely, I've come in before just to buy a few pieces of jewelry for my septum and tragus piercings. I've been to this shop twice and both times were a great experience. They're all super cool, down to earth people. You don't always get that at tattoo shops, sometimes the workers/owners/artists are rude, and lewd. Not here. My last visit, I got a small piece done by Eric, he was very pleasant, and genuinely nice. I approached a young lady at the counter who has the same vertical labret piercing as I do n she was just full of smiles ;) !!! I also spoke to a guy who gave me advice on a friend starting an apprentice to tattoo. He was very knowledge able n gave me a lot of good pointers. The show was very nice as well. A lot of tattoo parlors offer piercing, but you usually just end up seeing reviews based on tattoos but making sure you're piercer is A+ is very important.My piercer was knowledgeable and the experience was painless (minus the nipple pain lol). Where to start...I just left this place scratching my head. Many have posted that, " there is always a happy vibe", however, not so much for me. I guess when they saw tall Black guy wearing a "This is my Zombie killing T-Shirt" all of the Happy vibes went out the door. I was Kinda shocked especially since several of my wife's co-workers recommended this place. So I walk to the toward the counter smiling and the gentleman behind the register fails to greet me at all -like you could hear a pin drop. So jokingly i say helppp, and i show him my tattoo on my forearm and again ( you can hear a roach fart) LMAO ! So I start, I'm looking to try and get this tattoo covered . He looks at my forearm and says you going to have to do a half sleeve. Again jokingly I say my job will fire me , and again, nothing ( you can here 2 fleas going at it hard). So , I ask ,what do you recommend ? Whatever you like( Like the servants on coming to America) Then I ask do you have any books I can look thru ( The Books are very basic . So I cant see them because they are basic...SMH. That's why I came here to spend my hard earned money to get some help.Then he says most people bring in a picture and we draw it up and , at the end of the intense conversation he says I recommend getting laser surgery to lighten it up. All of this from behind a counter at lease 5 foot wide and kinda dim. I dont mind being told that I need to lighten my tattoo, but it seems like he didnt even look at it and he wasn't all that interested to begin with. Great place! Friendly staff, plenty of waiting space/seating, small location but they do a great job with the space, lots of great art on the walls, and again the staff is very friendly. My artist was amazing! He made sure the colors I wanted were correct as well as the placement. It took a bit to get going but so worth it to have everything go right the first time. My swelling is already down enough to see the fading in my tattoo and it is perfect. My tattoo holds a lot of meaning for me and the date ended up having the same strong meaning. I was comfortable and they made sure of it. Know what you want when you go in and everything will be smooth. If you go in for a tattoo just to have a tattoo you're not going to have a good time any place you go. Know what you want even if it's just in your mind, no drawing. It's going to hurt so don't get one if you have no pain tolerance. Be prepared to wait and don't rush the artist because you didn't plan your time accordingly. This wasn't my first tattoo but it was my first here and now my hubs wants one. Go and enjoy this, that's how you should go about it. Read Less

I have received a christina piercing from Eric today. My appointment was a little later on; however, I was in the area so I dropped in to see if he would be able to squeeze me in.  Luckily he was free, and set up right away. He went over the procedure and aftercare with me, as well as my options as far as initial jewelry, and jewelry for later on. He was very friendly, quick, and professional! This was my tenth piercing, so I wasn't extremely nervous,but he did check to make sure that I was comfortable. I certainly will be back. The shop itself was clean and I did really like the decor. Everyone in the shop seemed to get along and all of the customers seemed friendly as well.  If you're looking for body modifications in Delaware, I would suggest that you'd check this place out! I have went here about 3 times for tattoos and dint see myself going anywhere elas. In fact I'm going to get my next one soon from Tina. I have sent my friends family even my mom here. I have went to a couple of other shops to get ink and always felt like they weren't clean enough of I wasn't relaxed. Not at poppycock every time I go in even my first time I was meet with a smile and a warm welcome. The shop is clean the people are nice and let me get started on the art work. Every tattoo I have seem from here is amazing when it leaves the shop. Also the artists are very willing to help you out in making sure you get the most out of your tattoo and to make sure you take really good care of it when you leave.
