Brass City Tattoo is a great place to get a tattoo! The shop is large with private rooms and the tattooers are great! My favorite thing about this shop is that they are open until midnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Where else can you get a late night tattoo? Really love this shop. The guys are friendly all of them and they do quality work. I personally see Jeff Lambert for all my tattoo needs and I highly reccomend him. He does some amazing work, and he did a fantastic cover up on me when another shop said it couldn't be done. Also I've looked through and seen other artists there and can say this is a great place for whatever you want done. I Brought my Son to get a tat from Corey about 2 years ago for his birthday. He has other ink, as do I, but a friend said they loved the shop and they, (not sure who did it), did a nice job. I designed my sons myself and Corey drew it up. The drawing looked great, so we proceeded. It was just a small cherub, sewing a broken heart. Well, the face is odd looking... not sweet, round, and soft like the drawing... it actually came out with a very pointed chin! The arms and fingers are horrible, and not even close to symmetrical. (The fingers are horrible!) The heart even... barely looks like a heart, and you cannot even remotely make out that the little deformed Angel, is sewing a heart. This has bothered me since, but I didn't dare insist that my Son go back. I think people are intimidated to ever complain or go back. For one, no guy wants to insult another guys work... in my sons case anyway... and two, you figure if they did a crappy job on a first time client, how do you expect them to do better a second time after you've insulted them!!! Anyway, now that there is a forum, (yes, I am technology stunted) I thought I would give my review. I would never have let that tattoo walk out of MY shop! I sure hope that Corey's work has improved. It is often said that there is no such thing as bad pizza. Even if it's greasy and slippery, it's probably still pretty good (the same can be said for sex, and those two adjectives could also apply).It is NOT the same for tattoos.  Some are just plain bad and there is no two ways about it.  Thanks to the miracle of television, tattoo shops have made their way into our living rooms.  The once maligned body art can now be found on nearly everyone and...well, everyone.  That means you can FINALLY get those two verses from your favorite Hilary Duff song on your ribs (the day you turn 18!); it means that its now perfectly acceptable for my gynecologists assistant to have knuckle tats; and my conservative mother to get a tramp stamp.  It means every other choad at the grocery store wears an Ed Hardy (or similar) t-shirt and has plans for a 'sick sleeve' one of these days.Supply and demand.  Shitty shops have sprung up like pimples on a whore's ass; even the local mall boasts a shop!  Sweet.  Now I can get a soft pretzel AND a portrait of my beloved pit bull!  I can buy a pair of hot pants and get my boyfriend's name!  I can buy a battery at Sears and...(I can keep going here).The point I'm trying to make, is that while everyone and their brother goes out and settles for shitty tattoos, you can instead make a wise choice and pick a clean establishment, run by fine folks who have been in the business since before Miami Ink went into syndication.  You might have to make an appointment, and there isn't a place to get an Arby's 'Beef and Cheddar' next door, but what you will get is a great piece of permanent derma-art.  They also take credit cards, which is fan-bloody-tastic.
