I came here with the thought in mind to see some flash art and maybe even set up a consultation with an artist. However, I pretty much left that place looking pretty stupid. I step foot with my girl and we were looking around to see if we spotted anyone who worked there - nothing but a room full of customers is what we saw. I asked someone a question to 'break the ice' from all the eyes staring at me, and he answered back with "I don't know, I don't work here." I'm pretty educated with tattoos and knowledgeable with how things function, but with how this shop seemed to operate, it was clear to me that this shop was disfunctional and very unprofessional. I had a great experience today at Blue Owl. The owner was very personable and talked to us about the charity organizations they donate to while she was putting some baskets together for donations and made us feel welcome. I had made an appointment after seeing one of the artist's work online...Emile listened and gave me exactly what I was looking for. She took the time to talk with me and totally put me at ease. I would definitely recommend Emile and will go to her again the next time I'm looking to get work done. Read Less

Will not be going back here. We were given an appointment for today (Saturday 2/10/18) at 1pm. Upon arriving at the shop we were told that everyone was in Philadelphia for the weekend! We received no phone call or anything to reschedule our appointment. The only employee in the place was the piercer. He tried to contact Tommy who we had the appointment with. No answer. We tried calling ourselves. It went straight to voicemail. This is clearly something they knew about weeks in advance. We tried contacting him for the last 3 days to confirm only to be ignored. Calling to explain would have been the more courteous thing to do instead of blowing us off. It was a waste of our time to drive the half an hour there. I got a flash tattoo awhile ago that I was looking to cover up. Nina was able to cover them absolutely perfectly. The shop is comfortable to be in, such a good atmosphere. My friend Amanda gets all her tattoos by Nina and won’t go to anyone else. Definitely coming back for some more ink!!!! Read Less

I don't trust anyone but Nina. The shop is awesome, very courteous and friendly staff. Nina as an artist is awesome. I've sat for a few tattoos from her and her work is consistently high-quality. I personally like her taste as an artist however she's pretty flexible and versatile in the work that I've seen from her. Reviewing to warn the public: I wish i could give this place 5 stars, I been going there for some time now, but will now stop. It's become one of the worse Tattoo shops. Slowly, the people who could actually do good Tattoos have left or been kicked out. I don't know what happened. But the "Artists" who are left over are..... Not for me. They all argued about who was going to do my tattoo, so when I finally got an "artist" I felt bothersome, like they would do a half ass job. And I was right. Should've left. The owner talks about ALL her customers, so when I left the store I felt she was talking $#@@t  about me. This place is absolutely amazing! I have two tattoos By kit and I plan on getting more. I first visited with my aunt and a friend and we fell in love with blue owl! The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the facility is nice and clean. Artists accommodate to your scheduale and specific needs and are willing to help out any way they can! I reccomended them to many friends and everyone loves the results they get from this shop! Read Less

If negative 10 was an option that would be mine. Don't get me wrong the owner was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the young woman that did my tattoo was not. When I told her I wanted a feather and birds I had given her a picture of what I wanted done just for confirmation and she reassured me it was going to be very easy do and it would be detailed and beautiful. In the middle of my getting a tattoo her boyfriend called and told her he picked up dinner. She then rushed my tattoo and it came out horrid. It looked bloody awful and incase she didn't remember because of spontaneous amnesia, tattoos are permanent. So now I'm stuck with a half-assed that looks like a bloody child did it. As an artist my self I would never allow anyone buying my art to be given absolute rubbish. I'm very upset with this establishment and don't recommend you going here for a tattoo. Read Less

I absolutely love this shop, so many friendly workers there to help you. I am treated like family every time I walk in. Artists work with you in order to get EXACTLY what you want. They ask you questions and make sure you're never unsure or uncomfortable about what you're getting. I only have two pieces on me right now, but when I get more this is the only shop I'll go to. I had the pleasure of visiting blue owl on 1-3-15 and it was well worth the 10 hour drive from my home in Virginia . I've been following their work for about a year now and as the owner of U.S. Ink and Drop Dead Photography I feel I owe my models the absolute best when it comes to the artwork they put on their bodies , so we did just that , I took two of my models on a weekend road trip to see this shop for ourselves. Blue Owl far exceeded our expectations , which isn't easy... , we live in tattoo shops. Their shop was clean , friendly and professional with a well trained , knowledgable staff . They also had one intangible that most shops can't provide , the shop has a warm homelike vibe and the staff makes you feel like family.The owner is one of the absolute sweetest women I've ever seen in this business (amazing) . Both myself and one of my models were tattooed by James and I entrusted Edgardo with my wife , all three tattoos came out beautifully and I'm no rookie who's easily impressed. Bottom line after getting to know the staff I'd trust any artist there to do an amazing piece of art for you.
