John was very friendly and personable. The shop is small, comfortable, and clean as could be. John helped me to tweak the design I had came up with and gave advice on the body placement. He quickly drew up a great line sketch that I would hang on the wall itself. John was very light handed and quick with getting the tattoo done. A 3x3 inch tattoo was completed in 2.5 hours. John was very informative about the care and healing process of the tattoo. He showed me exactly how to care for it and what to buy. Great experience and would definitely recommend to a friend. I can't say enough good things about John at Full Throttle! So far I've had 3 beautiful pieces done by him.. his line work especially is so impressive. It was the experience that really blew me away though. The shop is small and felt very private and personal, which I loved, and it was insanely clean. John's got no books of pre-drawn tattoos, so each of his pieces is custom. He spent a lot of time looking at my references and working with me to draw the perfect tattoo and pick the best size and placement. I felt like he understood exactly what I wanted. He was so personable and great to chat with while he was tattooing me.. it made the time fly by. I feel like he goes out of his way to make sure that every single one of his clients feels comfortable and has fun. I called in around 1PM on Saturday and he was able to squeeze me in that day at 6PM. I was coming for my first tattoo all the way from Jersey. I wanted words along my rib cage (ambitious!) Everyone I spoke to said that it was going to be really painful so I was getting pretty nervous. When I got there Johnny was so incredibly knowledgeable and nice. He answered all my questions and then some. During the process he kept asking how I was doing and checking in. Before I know it he was done. It came out EXACTLY how I imagined!! My friend and I came into Full Throttle a couple of weeks ago to get tattoos and the experience was so positive. I told him my idea the day before when I first met him and he exceeded my expectations. As an artist, John explains everything thoroughly from the idea to the aftercare of the new tattoo.
