Ok so i see a few negative reviews and im still trying to figure out why!?!?! If it's because of cost I definitely pay for what u get and if it means I pay a little extra for excellent service and an amazing outcome then I will gladly. I was also totally surprised by how fast it was for a cover up the size and detail of my tattoo. Im extremely happy with my tattoo. Nick did a fantastic job and is very clean and professional. I've been to a lot of tattoo shops and the Edge is hands down the best, most comfortable around. My wife,son,and I all got work done on the same day. Angelo is the only artist I will ever let Ink my skin again. It's nice to get work done by an artist who truly cares about the art your getting. I felt extremely comfortable in the shop. Went in about a week ago and was not pleased. NEVER in the 40 years of my life was I ever belittled like the guy running the front desk (big ear and nose gauges guy) was to me. I called the day before asking if I could get a design done with someone on the phone and they said that would be fine. When I got there the receptionist said the artist I wanted to see was booked up with and sarcastically and laughing at me said I should have put down a deposit. Well someone on the phone the day before should have told me that. How was i supposed to know when you book something it isnt really booked. Overall I wasn't happy with the shop. My daughter wanted a nose ring and was told once over the phone it would be well over a hundred dollars. Well I took her to moonflower not to far from this place she got the piercing with jewelry included for 35 dollars. Also I called other tattoo shops and they booked me without any deposit and I didn't have to deal with the hassle the edge put me through. NEVER had I heard of a place with a deposit for a tattoo of a simple design without having  an in person consultation. DO NOT COME HERE. Read Less

I got my nose pierced yesterday by Laura. The staff at The Edge and Laura was incredibly welcoming and patient with me and with all my questions/circumstances. Laura didn't rush me or made me feel bad for asking to make any changes, she encouraged it. She was very helping with aftercare and made me feel comfortable to come back if i had any questions. I came here to get some new jewelry switched out in my helix piercings, industrial, tragus, and navel. Laura is amazing and defiantly knows what she is talking about, the jewelry is high quality and helps my piercings heal better than they would have with the jewelry I had in then. I'm from NC and was working in the area, and was looking for some ink work. Well the Edge popped up and had great reviews. So I went and checked them out as just a walk in. Talked with Bryant and before I knew it ink was being applied. I told Bryant what I wanted and he even added in his own little touch, and FIN nailed it. He did such an awesome job I came back and got it all finished up. The staff was absolutely awesome and so damn friendly too, I felt like I was at home in the south. I will be back again guys. I had my tragus pierced at another tattoo shop out of town. It was not a happy piercing and the captive bead ring that was put in irritated my ear so bad. It was borderline infected and very red/warm to the touch. I went to The Edge and Laura was absolutely amazing. She took a look at my ear and then helped me pick out a new neometal labret. She helped me switch the jewelry over (my piercing was 2 months old at this point) and ever since, my piercing has been much much happier! She explained the aftercare and within a week, my new piercing finally started the healing process. Had my nose pierced here last Friday...deeply regretting it now. My stud was sinking by Sunday morning i called the shop to voice my concerns was told to come in however the piercer couldn't wait till 6pm (which was the closing hour). Told them I would come in Monday because I was out of town to make back before 5pm. I woke up Monday morning my stud had totally sank into my flesh coming out the opposite direction of my nose blood had clotted overnight and I was in excuriating pain!!!! Called the shop but they don't open till 1pm. Luckily a friend referred me to another piercing shop in West Hartford I Googled them and found out they are the BEST  shop out there won numerous awards and they're are only predominantly a piercing shop. I went there and from one look at my nostril I was rushed to the back room for care. I learnt not only was the stud used the wrong size for my nose it was also OUT DATED!!! The angle of my piercing was Wrong...i was so furious because I had to endure the pain of having that stud removed. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO THIS SHOP FOR PIERCING . Read Less

Went there tonight to get a cartilage piercing done with a friend. I called beforehand so they were expecting us. Angelo who owns the place is awesome, nice, chill, and great to talk to before and after the piercing - side note he also has great taste in music. The work at the shop is super  too. They care about the work they do and their clients. I did not feel rush in there at all, even for a simple piercing, really took their time to know what I wanted and where I wanted it. This afternoon, myself, my sister and my mother chose to get some piercings and headed over to The Edge. My sister and I both got nose piercings and the three of us all got helix piercings. The owner, and our piercer, Angelo, did a fantastic job at answering our questions while being friendly and extremely professional. With three nervous ladies and our entourage, Angelo remained collected, accurate and gentle with each of our piercings. I know my mother was the most nervous yet she thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere, and having a great piercer - we all did. This shop is under new managment with a new staff since the last two reviews were written, between my husband and I we have a combined six tattoes by Tom S. and I have multiple pircings by Laura. The desk clerk Kathy is hilarious and always helpfull and the owner Angelo is always willing to discuss tattoo ideas and help you pick art if you dotn already have something in mind. with a very relaxed lounge with great music free coffee and often treats (ususaly provided by myself) along with tons of ink mags to browse while you wait or get inked this place has deffanitly made a turn for the better! horrible! the guy that did my tattoo messed it up.I am so upset and disappointed I went back and spoke to the manager and asked her to atleast give me some of my money back. Unfortunatly the only thing she could offer me was to have someone else try to fix it. Ofcourse i didnt want that after the mess up i ended up with.
