I'm really happy I checked these guys out. I had been meaning to get my first tattoo fixed up for some time now, but was on the fence whether I wanted to cover it up or just clean it up. It was a celtic spiral and the black lines all bled together over the past 15 years so it turned into three ugly ink blots. When I went to other tattoo shops in the past asking if they could clean it up, they just brushed it off and turned me away, citing the fact that it was too small (the size of a quarter) and they essentially weren't up for the challenge of helping me out. I read about Bad Fish and stopped in one day to get their opinion. Anthony, the owner, was awesome and the one who completely fixed my tattoo. He quoted me a fair price and made an appointment for the next day. I couldn't be happier how it turned out, and I will definitely be back for my next ink adventure. This place is 5 stars all the way! About a month ago I went in to get a tattoo from Anthony after a long a lengthy research process on my end. I am so glad i decided to go with bad fish. From the first phone call, Anthony and the other guys there have been fantastic to deal with. I came in with a design and from there I left it to Anthony's expertise to adjust it in a way that would translate great into a tattoo and he never steered me wrong. I can't say too much about the others as I have not received a tattoo from them but Anthony is top notch and the art work from the other guys there is very solid work. From the minute you walk in, they are not intimidating and make it a very welcoming shop. They are friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgeable and very professional. for decades I've wanted ink and despite numerous trips to tat shops across the country something weird happened every time which thwarted my acquisition.well a few weeks ago I met a girl with fantastic work and raved about this joint so when I was inspired the other day to finally plunge BFT was first on my list.I walked in without appointment on a friday and was greeted warmly by the chap who ultimately worked on me (the fact he'd painted amazing Star Wars skateboards on the wall was also a good omen)I appreciated that my VERY simple tat was treated like any other work of art and the entire staff dispelled many of the cliches associated with subcultures like tattoo parlors.although there's a very good chance this will be the only ink I get, if I ever embark upon another it will definitely be here. Anthony and his team are such professionals! Anthony gave me exactly what I wanted and I had to make no corrections or changes! I asked for an underwater scene in which it looked like my skin was being ripped open with an aquarium in it and my ribs incorporated. He exceeded my expectations completely by adding barnacles and making my tattoo look like a complete underwater scene. The line work and coloring is perfect. Come in to get 3 small simple inks. They fitted me in without an appointment. The job was nicely down and they also give you a little aftercare to-go bag with instructions, not many tattoo shop does that. And the whole place looks clean and neat, very female/clean cut guys friendly. You know, the old style gangster/biker tattoo shop with all sexy women tattoo designs on the wall turns me off. In the past month I saw Pieter for a new tattoo, coverup and two touch-ups. The new tat and touch-ups were pretty simple and straight forward but the cover up blew me away!! It far surpassed my expectations. Previously, I had a vine of flowers on my ribs that was actually a cover up form an older tat but was poorly done. I wanted it covered again but with a colored feather and I explained my vision to Pieter. I was freaking out because I've wanted this fixed for so long and was so relieved with the result. This tat doesn't even feel like a cover up of a past mistake.... its so beautiful.  Also, Pieter is super friendly, laid back and charges a VERY fair price. The studio is clean and provides privacy. I've been getting tattooed by Anthony Neave for about a year an a half, I've spent more time with him in the last 18 months than I have with most of my family, and let me be the first to say that his work always exceeds any expectations I have. I know that there are a lot of places to choose from when getting a tattoo or piercing but the guys at Badfish tattoo really are the best, and always pay great attention to detail. The updated studio, which used to be known as Ravens Nest has been gutted and cleaned out completely, it's a very comfortable place to go and get tattooed or pierced, unlike other sketchy places in the area and surrounding towns. From custom art, to tribal pieces, even flash art, these guys do it all and they always take the time to work with me and anyone else I've ever seen there.
