I had my nose pierced for 3 years up til this past spring, and for some odd reason, I decided to remove the piercing. Lately, I have been missing the little stud in my nose so I decided to find a place nearby to get it repierced (I got my nose done in Virginia at school the first time!). I searched on Yelp to find a place with good reviews. Turnpike Tattoo & Body Piercing seemed more reasonable than others (only $40 for the piercing, $45 if paying with card). The building that the tattoo parlor is in is a great size with different rooms within for tattoos and piercings. Upon arrival, I walked-in and did not have to wait to get the piercing done. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because it was a little *too* quick with the process. I did not tell the man I had my nose pierced before until right before he put the needle through my nose. I say this because he gave no information in regards to taking care of the piercing or how he was going to do it. I did enjoy how quickly the process was. I forgot how much it hurt though! haha some tears were shed, but it was for obvious reason. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a spontaneous or planned piercing at a great price. The tattoo shop was very clean and the atmosphere was great my artist was nice I believe his name was Paul, older gentelman. however my tattoo came out sloppy, the line work is awful. Would not go back and do not recommend. Read Less

Got my cartilage pierced by Paul and he was ABSOLUTELY incredible. He is willing to help at any time. I got my cartilage pierced and then I got an at Large Bid to the NCAAS and (obvi) had to take them out. He was so creative and we figured it out so that my cartilage didn't close up and I didn't have to get them re pierced! He also has a great personality and I would trust him for ANY sort of piercing that I would want. Read Less

Turnpike tattoo has a very cool environment lots of different things to look at it i have been following justin Talarski for a while now his work amazes me everytime. He's personable patient and overall so great to work with I've never been disappointed with a single thing he has done I could never see myself with another artist I strongly suggest him to anyone looking to get work done Read Less

Stopped in to get a quick tattoo on my mom and dad's 4th anniversary. It was not an elaborate tattoo, just a copy of "Love, mom and dad" in my step dads handwriting.  Mom has been dealing with cancer and is not doing too well.  They were fast, efficient, and able to take care of it for me.  Thank you for something I will treasure always!!! Literally had my tattoo done here yesterday and was super happy- along with my mother who was just as pleased getting her first small tattoo in remembrance of her father.Jesse drew up the design I wanted perfectly which was pretty intricate in a matter of a few minutes. Got my nose pierced about a week or so ago. The place is pretty cool, decor wise. They had a nice back room for piercing. The guy who did it was super clean. I watched him get everything ready and he explained everything to me. He was really nice and answered all of my questions. Read Less
