It's a great place, I've got about five piercings done by Miguel and they're all healed/healing fine. He does great work and is patient when you want to get the positioning just right. I had my first tattoo done by Matt and he knew the look I was going for with the design and showed me some mock-ups of it and had a few sizes in mind. Okay so I just got my septum repierced by Miguel and it was such a good experience. He was able to taper it back and was very kind and patient. He even gave me water and some m&ms and let me breathe when I felt a little light-headed. Thank you so much for being so understanding Miguel, it means so much!!! I came in about a week ago to get my daith pierced because I had been reading that it helps with migraines. I’ve had a chronic migraine condition for the past 4 years where I have had a migraine almost every day. These migraines often take me out for the full day: I need to be in a dark room, no noise, no screens, and just try to sleep until its over. They can last any where from 4 hours to 2 straight weeks. When they are more than a few hours, I have to just push through and... try to function with the migraine. In 4 years, have not ever gone a full week without a migraine, even with medicine from Yale Neurology. I’ve never been one for believing much in the effectiveness of pressure points etc, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to get my daith pierced. At the very least I would have a sweet new piercing. Since then, I have now gone my FIRST FULL WEEK IN 4 YEARS WITHOUT HAVING A MIGRAINE and I am 100% shocked that this worked so well. In the past week, I have only had 1 mild headache (very different from migraine) that lasted 10 min and went away when I had some food. From a $35 piercing, I no longer have to spend time and money on countless doctor appointments and medicines that effect the rest of my health. After years of trial and error medicines that “may help migraines”: from anti-seizure to anti-depressant medications with tons of side effects, conditions I did not have before taking the medication, that dramatically affected my health. Sorry for the excessive paragraph, but I am just honestly so thankful for the people at Pandora’s Playground for kind of giving me my life back. To add to that, the experience its self at Pandora's Playground is always great. I've been going to Matt for years and I will continue to go to him. He's friendly, and he really does amazing work. He takes pride in his work and the cleanliness of his shop. I recommend him to everyone I know. Not only does he do amazing, quality work, but he's quick and efficient. He only takes cash payment, which is ok because I'm sure if I was able to use a credit card I'd be in serious debt haha. Great shop. I have been going to Matt for the past ten years and he is the only tattoo artist I ever want to work with again. He has a style all his own, making even the most traditional piece stand out. He will also prevent you from making a mistake; whether it be going too small, or poor placement, he will guide you toward making he best decisions for your body and tattoos. The piercer, Miguel, is the man, too. Real nice guy, and very talented at what he does. I have yet to have Emma tattoo me, but I've seen her work and she is a real talent. A wonderful shop to go to! Everyone in here is both professional, kind, and amazing at what they do. Miguel is an amazing piercer and is helpful in every way, with both buying/picking out jewelry and doing the piercings. Matt and Emma are both phenomenal artists. I have only been tattooed by Matt so far, but I have seen both of their portfolios and art outside of tattooing and would trust both of them wholeheartedly with my future ink. Matt is THE BEST tattoo artist to go to!!!! He has done all three of my tattoos, and many other people's I personally know! I will completely admit I am absolutely awful with pain. I cannot handle the pain of tattoos what's-so-ever! He has fun, and you can truly tell he loves what he does! Which is why I love Matt so much! He makes fun of me and laughs at me, and does not get irritated by my complaining of the pain. I came here yesterday to get some work done. Matt was my artist and he did a fantastic job. He has a real eye for dimension and color. I've had ornery tattoo artists in the past, but Matt is patient, a lot of fun, and also a real nice guy. The price was fantastic. I come from NYC where tattoos are $200 an hour, sometimes more. It was nearly half that here. One hell of bargain considering the quality of work, expertise, and relaxed environment. Also I was very happy to see a very clean and sanitary work space. Matt took great care and doing everything by the book.I highly recommend this place. Matt at Pandoras Playground has done 4 tattoos on me (so far!). 3 of them were from the past few years and are incredible pieces of art that I still love. He has been tattooing in the area for a very long time, despite the new shop. Every experience I have had with Matt has been great. He knows how to listen to his customers and offer suggestions for artwork or come up with beautiful works of art just for his customers. He can do any tattoo from a beautiful typography or a on...e-of-a-kind drawing in color or black and grey. My most recent floral watercolor tattoo by Matt was done at Pandoras Playground. It is also my biggest and most colorful tattoo! I will be sure to post a photo on this page. Aside from being a very talented artist, Matt is easy to talk to and friendly, responsible, and most importantly: very sanitary and methodical about his work. He is always willing to answer any questions even afterwards during the healing process. I have not experienced the other artists or had any piercings at Pandoras Playground but I can fully guarantee that your experience at Pandoras Playground will be a pleasure and will leave you with a beautiful piece of art.
