Johnny is a great artist but extremely unprofessional. He drank alcohol halfway through the tattoo, took constant cigarette breaks, took a break to work on his car. He set up the tattooing equipment without wearing gloves, used remotes and other unsanitized items while wearing gloves. Originally I reached out to another tattoo studio that was supposed to be incredible at cover ups. My idea was a flower of some sort. I was told that all I could cover my tattoo with was with a traditional black panther.... quite far from my original thought and not appealing in the least. I typed in cover ups CT on Facebook and Johnny's shop came right up! I reached out and within a day I got a response as well as a set appointment date for the following 2 weeks. It is now a month and I finished my followup apt on Memorial day. I couldn't be more pleased with my tattoo and he covered it with pinks and purples for the most beautiful flower piece. Always get compliments on the tattoo I got here, got a great price, and he made the design I brought in even better. Tat is still looking sharp a year and a half later. Ask for Johnny, good guy, fast and great shading. Hidden gem tattoo shop! Much better than the bigger, more well known shops around Connecitcut for sure, and I have been to 6 other shops within a half hour of here. DONT NOT GET ANYTHING PIERCED  HERE. My girlfriend is new into town and I'm not big into body mods, so this is the first place that popped up when look to get her tongue pierced. I knew it was going to swell and would last for a couple days, but we have asked many people that have gotten theirs done, and every single one of them said it is way to far back and he gave her a way to small of a piercing, it's so small and so swollen that she is in a lot of pain, and can't even take the piercing out because it is such a small piercing and is so swollen. I cannot recommend Johnny enough! I had a tattoo done a different shop, and within 2 years, it looked horrible. Fast forward a few more years and my brother and I wanted tattoos in memory of our Grandpa. We had seen Johnny's work online and went with him. I don't think I will ever get a tattoo anywhere else (and I live on the opposite side of the country) He was awesome, charged a totally reasonable amount, and my tattoo still looks amazing almost 2 years later.
