The tattoo was fine for several days (except the saturation of color) and the next day pustuals and bright red streaks started showing under the art. The aritst said it was NOMAL.. I ended up with an infected foot and my Dr started me on oral and topical antibiotics. It healed but the saturation of color slowly stared showing tru to my skin color. True, I couldn't sit still and deal with the pain bcaused he went over and over the areas far too hard. My new artist barely caused me anything close to what you put me thru. I consulted a real artist who thankfully was able to to fix what your 'artist' messed up. A wonderul tattoo artist correct his carelessnes. Pleae don't ever go to 'A touch of color' if you want a quality tattoo. At least he should offer a partial refund to help cover the cost of having to go somewhere else. I was visiting CT and decided to Come here with my two siblings, and also my bro's girlfriend who suggested we spontaneously get tattoos. The gentleman who did all our tattoos was very professional and kind. He offered fair prices and quality tattoos. I'll definitely stop by for a touch up next time I visit CT. Read Less

I waited a long time to finally get a tattoo. Mainly because I knew it's a life long commitment and I never found an artist or a shop I could trust. So over a year ago after graduating culinary school I decided I wanted to reward myself and wandered into A Touch of Color. Since I live right around the corner I thought I would check it out. I was greeted by Katie, who after hearing my story was super excited to work on me. The whole experience was great. I'm extremely happy with all the work I've gotten done here. Katie was so professional, and you can see the love she has for what she does in every line she makes. I have since gotten 3 more pieces done by Katie. The shop itself is neat and welcoming, it's tucked away in a little strip of other shops. I'd proudly recommend A Touch of Color for either the tattoo newb or the seasoned ink junky. Read Less

Set a specific date and time for an appointment - for which he charged a deposit - and, when I arrived, there was nobody on duty.  Shortly thereafter I received a text that said he was out sick.  OK, that happens.  I asked him to contact me when he was better so that we could reschedule.  It has now been *over a month* and I have not heard a peep.  I guess this is how he makes his money, by skipping out on appointments and pocketing the deposit. I have been coming to a Touch of color for a number of years now (12 years actually) and Kaleb is great! Besides the fact that he guarantees his work and his work is excellent! The shop is always neat and clean. And Justin (piercing expert) is awesome!! I read the other post from a guy talking about the tattoo artist tripping on acid and a dog under the table and I know that is a straight out lie! I have been coming to Touch of color since 2003 before the new  owner Kaleb took over and I can be pretty confident that that person is making up stories or confusing a touch of color with another tattoo shop. Pets are not allowed in the shop!! And in 2013 when he made that post there were very few tattoo artist in the shop and they would never ever be unprofessional like that!! Touch of color is the only tattoo shop that I will allow to put any ink on my body. Kaleb does excellent work and I completely trust him with all of my ink!!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR GENITAL PIERCINGS!!! He used a clamp which at the time I didnt know just how wrong that was. I was getting a VCH piercing and it was intently painful for at least a minute. When the swelling went down I realized that it was not a VCH piercing at all. it was too shallow and was really a surface piercing through the hood instead of a piercing that rested on my clit. I learned my lesson and will be going elsewhere to get a proper VCH done with a needle receiving tube. Read Less

i've gotten two tattoos here, one by Kaleb and one by Katie, and they are both incredible. It is a friendly environment, and both artists are accommodating and made sure I was happy with their work. I have been to quite a few tattoo shops, and by far...this takes the cake( in a good sweet way). I called in to talk with an artist and was able to get an appointment within 2 days. I stopped into another shop and they said the wait was 2 months, yet only one person was getting a tattoo, and there were 3 other artists playing X-Box. I don't know for sure that they were all artists, but i didn't get a good feel. So I went in to A Touch of Color for my appointment and the artist was able to draw it up and do the tattoo within an hour and a half. There was plenty of parking around the shop, and it was free- which is always a perk. They were so nice, and made me feel like I was at home. I am very pleased with the work. This is actually the first time I have EVER left a review for anything....but the reason I went to this shop was after reading their positive reviews and feedback, and they were all right. So I'm going out of my way to leave this, so hopefully someone else can be pleased with their tattoo. Read Less
