I've been here before and got a tattoo done by a guy named Chris. He's no longer there but the experience was a good one so I stopped in recently to get estimate on a piece I wanted. This visit left much to be desired. The guy I spoke didn't offer a portfolio, I wasn't able to pick the artist I wanted, and he was kind of a miserable person in general. The girl who did my tat took forever (my bf got the same tat and the guy who did his took maybe 30-40 min whereas the girl doing mine took over 2 hours) and there was a lot of fallout once I was healed. They were friendly and super chill vibe but I’m not super impressed by the quality. Read Less

I called yesterday to see if they could spontaneously get my husband and i in for date night and they worked us in! I think my dad husband and i are going back this week to get more work done! I have been to Sublime twice now and both experience's were phenomenal! They are very clean, thourough & great to work with. Just today I went in & got my son's name & DOB tattooed on my arm and there was a miscommunication between me & David Kovalik so the wrong DOB was tattooed on my arm. Once I realized this I called them & went back in and he fixed the date by covering it with an awesome, free-hand, arrow. Love love love this place. I got my third tattoo here (which was on my back) in April, 2016. Jim did such a good job and had very gentle hands. I had gotten my first two tattoos at another place, but I felt their shop and employees were too uptight and cliquey. I decided to give this shop a try and my mind was blown. I love the atmosphere of Sublime Ink Tattoo. Everyone who works there is so personable and patient with clients. I would 10/10 reccomend this place. If you want a tattoo or piercing, go here. Jim is a great . I wanted to get my first tattoo in Plainfield and they turned me away and tried talking me out of it so I left . Jim told me I'll get whatever I want and made it happen. The artist were cool as hell and down to earth. They help me and my three brother figure out exactly what we wanted for our tattoos and it was one of my brother's first time getting a tattoo and he felt calm as hell through the hole tattoo. Dana is a great tattoo artist. Her prices are pretty good too. She takes her time coming up with the sketch, but she's pretty fast compared to others I've had when it comes to the actual tattooing. Her style is pretty creative. She can actually do portrait type stuff which is a plus. Not everyone can do that! I've gotten a full leg sleeve with her (right below knee to bottom of ankle) and also another tattoo on my arm. Read Less
