The front desk lady was extremely rude as well as the owner. I went in with a friend to get a simple consultation I had called previously and she had a very bad attitude when I asked if Thomas Slocum had any availability. She said not until Friday and I said that's fine. Is there anyone else I can just speak to. She continued her attitude. Once I got to the store she completely ignored us and continued to look down at the computer or cellphone and I stood there before getting agitated and asking her is there someone who can assist us. She then gets up and goes in the back cackling with whoever and walks out says nothing and goes back to her desk. She then gets an attitude AGAIN . She then asks me "well what do you want" I proceed to tell her and she rolls her eyes and says "ok" We then walked out sick and tired of her not assisting us. We then called the owner and explained to him what had happened and we didn't understand her attitude towards us and were looking for some closure. He was just as rude as her saying she wasn't doing anything wrong wasn't sympathetic with us in any way. Highly disappointed because I was referred to this place by a close friend who's been going there for years and it just saddens me. Would not recommend this place. 0/10.

I just went back for my 2nd tattoo with Chris Speer. He really does some amazing work. Chris is easy to work with and was able to give me something creative and different. I had a very basic idea of what I wanted and I put the rest into his hands and what he came up with blew me away. I have received so many wonderful comments on my tattoo. The shop is so clean and everyone is so friendly. I always feel welcome when I am there.

While getting that first tattoo from him I asked him what shop he was from and he told me none, that he had just left his last shop and was opening his own...I did not know him other than a few quick run ins before, but I knew he would indeed open that shop and it would be a success and he would attr...act other great talent and a loyal customer base! Its too bad CT is 10 hours away from me now, cause id be going back there to finish my sleeve if I could!

I just realized I never review 12 Tattoos. It's been a couple years since I got my work done by JP, but I'm glad I picked him and this studio for my first tattoo. Their clean, professional, friendly, and help put you at ease. Their after care was spot on and my tattoo still looks great to this day, despite some very mild fading. The process was fun, even if communicating my design was difficult (sometimes I suck at explaining things). I drew a skull design and wanted it wat...ercolor, as if paint had spattered on canvas and formed a skull by chance. After a lot of conversation, JP and I settled on a design and he got to work on his first watercolor and my first tattoo. I write this today because I'm going back for my second tattoo and taking my girlfriend for her first (and we had a HORRIBLE experience at a place in Boston)! I just realized I never review 12 Tattoos. It's been a couple years since I got my work done by JP, but I'm glad I picked him and this studio for my first tattoo. Their clean, professional, friendly, and help put you at ease. Their after care was spot on and my tattoo still looks great to this day, despite some very mild fading. The process was fun, even if communicating my design was difficult (sometimes I suck at explaining things). I drew a skull design and wanted it watercolor, as if paint had spattered on canvas and formed a skull by chance. After a lot of conversation, JP and I settled on a design and he got to work on his first watercolor and my first tattoo. I write this today because I'm going back for my second tattoo and taking my girlfriend for her first (and we had a HORRIBLE experience at a place in Boston)! Excited to see the work Brianna does today.UPDATE 06/27/2017: My girlfriend and I got tattoos today by Briana and I still couldn't possibly recommend 12 Tattoos enough. They are professional, honest, friendly people with incredible talent and genuine care for their work and their customers. My girlfriend absolutely loves her first tattoo and my second tattoo is just perfect, exactly what I wanted.

Chris Speers is quite a character -- very serious about his work, but fun to hang with while he is doing it. What really struck me during my first tattoo was his ability to know when to take a moment...
Chris Speers is quite a character -- very serious about his work, but fun to hang with while he is doing it. What really struck me during my first tattoo was his ability to know when to take a moment or two off. It wasn't painful, but uncomfortable at times. When that discomfort was building Chris would back off and chat for a couple of minutes, without me asking. He is a really skilled professional.

I got a tattoo done here by Bre....After an hour of her making me feel like I was a useless scum, and that my religious views are wrong. She tattooed some lettering on me.....It looked really swollen and it hurt for over a week....After it healed the letters have a green haze around it and the lines aren't clean they're very bumpy. I'm ashamed of it. I got some tattoos by jp and Chris and they were kind and amazing artists....But I'll never go here again knowing she even works there

My sister and I spent a lovely 10 hours with Chris Scheck over the past week and we couldn't be happier with our tattoos! Although I'm a baby and probably won't do it again, I highly recommend Chris as an artist - he helped us to re-do and cover up tattoos we were formally less then impressed with. This was by far the best of my 3 experiences at 3 different studios - I'd never go anywhere else again.

Got my second tattoo here last week and I couldn’t be happier. I was on a waiting list hoping to get an appointment with a particular artist when I got a call informing me of a cancellation so I jumped on it. Some of the artists are booked weeks and months in advance because the owner won the second season of “Ink Master” and he only hires the best talent in the region. The shop is clean and comfortable. The staff is busy but friendly and professional.

Walked in to make an appt, redhead girl at the front desk was super friendly and adorable! Helped get an estimate on work and she found us a slot based on our work schedule. Shop is clean, organized and filled with dark, interesting art and articles based on the stores owner winning a tat competition on TV. Made my appt and came back. Got the tats today. My husband and I got our anniversary dates in Roman numerals with a quote from game of thrones. We worked with Chris. His tat room was filled with awesome nerd stuff and we took turns watching netflix to entertain ourselves while the others were getting ink. The tats are beautiful! Every line is crisp and straight. I had him free hand some suns, and they are perfect. A real talent! We made another appt for 2 days from now and will continue to do so!

My sister and I spent a lovely 10 hours with Chris Scheck over the past week and we couldn't be happier with our tattoos! Although I'm a baby and probably won't do it again, I highly recommend Chris as an artist - he helped us to re-do and cover up tattoos we were formally less then impressed with. Got my second tattoo here last week and I couldn’t be happier. I was on a waiting list hoping to get an appointment with a particular artist when I got a call informing me of a cancellation so I jumped on it. Some of the artists are booked weeks and months in advance because the owner won the second season of “Ink Master” and he only hires the best talent in the region. The shop is clean and comfortable. The staff is busy but friendly and professional.

Walked in to make an appt, redhead girl at the front desk was super friendly and adorable! Helped get an estimate on work and she found us a slot based on our work schedule. Shop is clean, organized and filled with dark, interesting art and articles based on the stores owner winning a tat competition on TV. Made my appt and came back. Got the tats today. My husband and I got our anniversary dates in Roman numerals with a quote from game of thrones. We worked with Chris. His tat room was filled with awesome nerd stuff and we took turns watching netflix to entertain ourselves while the others were getting ink. The tats are beautiful! Every line is crisp and straight. I had him free hand some suns, and they are perfect. A real talent! We made another appt for 2 days from now and will continue to do so!
