Doug Fortin has been an artist all his life and has been professionally tattooing for twelve years. Doug has tattooed all over the United States at various shops and conventions including the Northeast, California, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, and Hawaii. Doug lived and worked in San Francisco for a number of years before returning to his home state of Connecticut. Doug set up shop at Iron Eel Tattoo in Collinsville, CT where he specializes in tattooing, watercolor and oil painting. Doug is awesome. Got a fairly large piece done by him that was part of a coverup and covers the majority of my forearm. The colors pop and I always get tons of compliments on it. He has a great bedside manor and really makes you feel at ease. I will definitely be back when I am ready for my next piece of living art. Thanks a bunch for the fun experience!

AND he was able to get me in the following day of my call! Decently priced; I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.

Not like those other commercialized studios. Doug, the owner and operator of Iron Eel is a true master of the craft. He is an amazing artist with a passion for detail and quality. From setting up an appointment, to designing and creating the tattoo, to actually getting a tattoo, Doug's customer service skills are by far the best. Overall A+++ experience!!

It you want a good atmoshpere, a great artist and perfect work Doug is the man you want to see. He truly has a gift and it was a privilege to work with him.

Doug is a great guy and an amazing artists who works with you to design the tattoo you truly want. Doug has done a couple pieces for me and I have to say his work is incredible, he is able to adapt many different styles into his work and make them his own. His shop is clean and friendly, his work space is well organized, he is focused on maintaining a safe and sterile experience and he is always looking for new ways to deliver his clients the best piece of permanent art work possible. I look forward to my next appointment with Doug.
