NEVER EVER AGAIN!!  BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!!  Initial artwork I wanted wasn't what was drawn.  Convinced me what was drawn would cover the old tattoo.  I also said 3 times, we need to make it look more like my pet.  30 mins later we start, 3.5hrs later we finish.  1st thing I see is the old tattoo clear as a bell.  After seeing that, I notice pic of my furballs was not changed.  So to me, it's like asking for your kid to be put on you but you get a strangers kid slapped on you.  Went back to have it "fixed", another waste of my time.  Was THEN told that the old tatt might never completely be covered!!!!  WTF!!  Wish all this was told to me before I dropped a deposit & went back for work that I'm still stressing over.  Talked to a few other "artists" & they all were quick to point out the old tattoo & MANY other flaws I didn't even see because I was too upset about the other two main things I wanted done.  So now I'm going to have to come up with a few hundred more dollars to actually cover the old tatt & now I'm stuck with random furballs on me.  Also have to come up with hundreds more to get the original tattoo I wanted but wasn't told it couldn't be done.  Again, had I known what I wanted couldn't be done, I would have never went there.  NEVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN.... I'm not sure if the statute of limitations is over or not but full disclosure I had this tattoo done a year ago. Some things may have changed. I went with a friend who was getting her back piece done with Nycci. Gorgeous work, and Nycci seemed very friendly and professional. Set up my appointment for my first tattoo and thought everything was good. Either she called me, or I called her 30 minutes before my appointment to verify, and she had to cancel because of some medical emergency or something. Ok. Disappointed but whatever it happens. We rescheduled for about a month out (which I thought was a little bit too long but again she's a busy girl) and I thought everything was good. My appointment was at noon and I got there before then, waited outside and another girl Shannon let me in. I sat down while she busied herself around the salon and after a couple minutes she introduced herself to me and told me she was going to be doing my tattoo. WAIT. WHAT?!?! Turns out Nycci was in a car accident... Three days before my appointment. Again, not her fault, very upset that this has happened two times though and the second time I didn't even get a phone call to see if I wanted to switch my appointment. The whole reason I was going to InkWell was to see Nycci. I had seen some of Shannon's work on facebook and felt comfortable working with her and to be honest, I didn't want to wait another month or longer to finally get my tattoo done. The shading on one of my birds isn't completely done in (it would have been nice to have been offered a follow up ten minute appointment to make sure everything was fine after it healed since my birds are small) and when I called back they seemed very unsure of when they could squeeze me in so I just didn't bother.Shannon was nice and personable and she is the only reason I am giving this shop more than one star. I originally came across this shop when looking to get a script tattoo. Many artists brushed off my request ("Yeah, sure, I can do that...." but then would have no portfolio pics for me to verify that their writing wasn't a wonky mess) Thankfully, I stumbled upon Nycci's Myspace which was filled with beautiful work, and really solid script.Since acquiring the initial large script piece across my chest, I have been back several times to have Nycci work on me. I now have not only my chest, but one of my thighs, and an amazing custom nautical 1/2 sleeve all done by Nycci. I am constantly stopped by strangers and asked about where I get my work done.Beyond excelling at so many styles of tattoos Nycci is also an all-around pleasure to get tattooed by. She's funny, pleasant, and goes above and beyond to make sure you are 100% happy with the design. I've been to several shops in my life, and I can honestly say Nycci is the most down to earth cool person to get repeatedly stabbed by needles by. Read Less
