Had a really great experience here working with Cory. I think it was Cory, at least. I had to go through Instagram until I found someone that seemed super similar to the person that tattooed us. My friend and I were walk-ins, and we wanted quick little lettering tattoos to remember our trip to Colorado by. Mine was above my knee, in a type writer font, and it came out super nice. It's healing up nicely. The shop was super clean and Cory was super kind when I switched the font I wanted my tattoo to be in right before he tattooed it on me. My only 2 complaints that are keeping me from giving a full 5-star review: when Cory wrapped the tattoo, he did it with a piece of paper towel and some scotch tape. That was super weird to me, as I have a handful of tattoos already and they've always been wrapped with either tegaderm, saran-wrap, or bandage gauze like material. It just seemed a little bit unsanitary with the scotch tape barely sticking to my leg.Then, every time I've ever been tattooed, the tattooer has asked to see my license and have me fill out some paperwork. This particular time, we weren't asked to do any of that. We thought it might have been because Colorado doesn't have a minimum age to be tattooed (based on a quick Google search, we could be wrong) but then our friend and her mom also got tattooed in Colorado, at a different shop, the day before us and we remembered they had to fill out paperwork and got copies of their licenses made. Stay Local is the sister shop of Mantra Tattoo. I’ve had a great experience at both. Jeff has been my artist and I will definitely be sticking with him. Everyone is professional, they take the time to listen to you and love to hear your ideas. Don’t worry if you don’t know what you want or if you are nervous, I found the process easy and comfortable. I had the concept, I wanted something that was important to me and had meaning of the losses of friends but also something that would remind me to look up and I’d always know where to go in life, hence “lights will lead you home”. Best experience ever, and we are first-timers. Our 18 year old son had his tattoo done by Jeff Lester (check out his work on Insta @scrappydootattoo). Pricing was amazing, color and design came out PERFECT. We originally came in with a design and he tweaked it, making it appear larger and more fitting on his arm. My son's a big guy, and Jeff knew how to redesign the original idea to make it fit his shoulder and arm better. Loved it so much, our daughter went back 2 days later and got her first one. Shop doesn't understand the importance of other people's time. We had an appointment Friday night and Saturday at 12pm. We called in to check and make sure everything we are good for our appointment on Wednesday. Then was told we didn't have an appointment on Friday that it was only Saturday. So we went in on Saturday at 12. Was told that the they were running late that they will be here at 12:30. We waited around until 1pm. He finally came in. Whitney is amazing at eyebrow microblading! I received a gift certificate from my fiancé for Valentine's Day and I'm so grateful I have my brows done now a couple months later! It saves me a ton of time getting ready, as I've never been the great at drawing brows on anyways. Whitney is a true professional and very caring and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. She is a true perfectionist and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is tired of drawing their brows on day in and out, especially those who workout often like I do!
