I went here for my nipple piercing and the guy didn't just FUCK it up one time but managed to FUCK it up twice. I came here over a year ago to get them done and the piercer acted rushed even though the place was pretty much empty. He threw on the marking points in a dark corner of the shop where the piecing took place and asked me if it looked good I assumed he knew what he was doing but I told him my left side was supper low and not in the middle of my nipple he moved it up but it still looked low he said it was just the way I was standing so I left him do it and it was literally like a full two centimeters low and completely lop sided if only I could post a picture I'm really not a dick so I never said anything and just took that side out (btw that hole never completely closed and scarred really bad &/or got infected.) I went back with a friend over a year later and decided I wanted it redone after she did hers even though I knew it was the same dude I thought there's no way he'll fuck it up again. Anyways I kinda mentioned the last piercing and he got all quiet when he realized HE WAS THE ONE WHO FUCKED IT UP. He didn't make me pay, AND after a few months of healing it's still fucking crooked and low as shit. I noticed it before hand yet again and he reassured me it was going to heal fine. A friend and I came here for piercings together back in July. Jeff did our piercings for us. The environment was clean and relaxing. My friend had her labret done which went quickly and with ease. It's healing really nicely. I did a double forward helix which has healed fairly nicely as well. I jumped each time Jeff pushed the needle through, but he was unphased. My husband and I got tattoos here about 6 months ago and had a very good experience and thought the price was fair. We went in today to get a quote for another simple design and was told it was going to be $200 a piece or more for the size of a half dollar tattoo! We were discussing this between the two of us deciding if we wanted to pay that much and were rudely interrupted by Charlie saying 'oh are you a professional tattoo artist?! You're not so you don't fucking know how much a tattoo should cost!' Mind you I have about 30 tattoos, not my first time here. Needless to say we walked out. Looked through the portfolios to find beautiful clean work. The shop smelled sanitary and had a very professional and business vibe. The people there talk with respect even when a little irratated. The only reason that I have such a low ranking of this place is due to the pricing. Extremely high for people coming from places that they're used to the same professional styles and results for half the price. Otherwise, if you have the money, this is a great small shop. I got a semi-colon tattoo here a year or two ago. It has faded. My son has gotten several tattoos here as well as piercings. I know quite a few people who have gotten work done here. My son told me that he was told that there were free touch ups for life. I contacted them through messenger (turns out it was a year ago, almost exactly. I have severe memory and cognitive issues and thought it was about 4 months ago) to ask about getting a touch up done. Whomever answered my message told me that they offer 1 free touch up in the first 90 days. They asked if I'd be getting another tattoo as they could touch up my semi-colon when they had the equipment out anyway. I told them that I didn't think so because this is the only tattoo I have and it is in memory of my daughter who took her life in 2015. The message I got back was "Give us a call, we'll take care of you."  I have had some severe health issues and just general life things happen and haven't called or gone by. Today I was having a horrible day. My daughter's bday is coming up soon and shortly there after the anniversary of her death. I am having a really hard time. I was having a HORRIBLE day. A lot of self esteem issues and trying to want to be here. I mean here on earth. I already had ECT for 18 mos to stop my own suicidal thinking after my daughter left us. This is why I now have severe memory and cognitive issues. Today I went there to get my nose pierced. I wanted to feel do something for myself to help me feel better. So as I am asking about the piercing I ask about the tattoo touch up. I get the company line about 1 free touch up in the first 90 days. Okay, I get that, not a big deal. I did tell him about the fact that I had already asked about this and was told that they would "take care of me". He says that it was probably the owner who said that and he wasn't in today. From across the room another man, who is one of their tattoo artists says loudly, "I have a tattoo here on my arm from 1985 that has faded, that's to be expected." I was in shock. He just entered our conversation, from across the room, for no other reason than I can see (and I've thought about it) than to make me feel like a stupid piece of shit for even asking about a touch up. I was so upset. I asked him, "Did you really just yell that across the room for the sole purpose of embarrassing me?" He got up and walked over to us to point to his tattoo and started saying something. At this point I said, "Fuck you assshole! Why in the hell would you try to compare the tattoo you got in 1985 with the one I got maybe two years ago?" Yes, I cussed. Which if you knew me you'd know is not like me. I mean I cuss, but hardly ever in public and truly ALMOST NEVER out of anger. I left, crying. Sat in my car and talked with my husband for about a half an hour and then my son for a bit before I was able to drive again. This guy, he took the opportunity to make someone who is struggling with life, with self esteem, with the will to live and made my day that much worse. What a great guy! I wish him the same good energy that he sent my way. I sent them a message that basically said this. It told them how he made me feel and to "thank" him for me. I got a message back that said "Sorry you had a bad experience here today", then laid out their 90 day policy (it would be good if they told you this when you got your tattoo in the first place. trust me I know many people who have had stuff done here and don't know this is their policy) and then stated that they would do the touch up for free and would this make me happy. NOPE. I wrote back that they were missing the point. I have the money to pay for a touch up if that's what it takes. I am not broke. I am waiting for a call back from the owner, they say he will call tomorrow. I wouldn't go back here if they paid me to do so though. I will never walk through their door again, ever. I will tell everyone I know about what happened today and hope they do not go here either. The lack of human kindness, empathy or even sympathy was astounding. WOW! Read Less

Pablo is AMAZING. I had a side piece that was supposed to be a cover up over a mistake I made at 19. Another artist did the line work, but messed it up so badly that I refused to go back for him to finish it. It was so messed up and scarred! I went in for a rook and conch piercing. The conch piercing literally was in my ear at such a crooked angle (basically diagonal) and hurt constantly because it went through more of my ear at that angle. I had to take it out because I can't even put a hoop in it which is exactly what I told the piercer, Paul, I wanted. The rook is also crooked but not as bad, I can live with that one. I called to get my 25$ back and they said they would have their manager call me to refund me my money and no one ever called. Came to Colorado to get a tattoo with my bestie and I found Charlie and he was amazing and funny and very professional, he knew exactly what I wanted and hand drew it even made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. Went in for a simple skull tattoo...something traditional, nothing spectacular. Booked time with Charlie and he quoted me between $60 and $80, depending on color. Took Charlie about 30 minutes to complete the tattoo and I am extremely happy with the result. Not only is it exactly what I wanted but he only charged me $60, despite adding color. I'm definitely embarrassed because I had recommended this place to a friend. I was there with her when she was refused service and was basically talked down on because she brought her baby (which at the time did not have a babysitter). The guy there was just rude and if I were in her position I would definitely feel horrible especially the way that guy was talking down on her like she was the worst mom for bringing her baby to a tattoo shop. It was the first time she said that ever happened to her and usually the tattoo artist she goes too never refuses her because she has her baby at the shop. Told to put down a $50 deposit which I did told me that I would get my money back if I cancel 24 hrs a head which I unfortunately had to. I called told them I had to reschedule they said i wasn't on their schedule. I told them I made an appointment paid but I had to reschedule and that I would come when I had the chance. I went in two days later told them I wanted to reschedule they said that I had to put another $50 down because I didn't call 24hrs to cancel my appointment. I told them I did and even showed them the number I called and when. They said that was there number. But they didn't care i had to put another $50. I had been to several shops before coming to Mile High Tattoo and Piercing. I was looking into getting my daith pierced. The other shops weren't agreeable with me due to lack of experience (1 had never done a daith piercing but offered to try...) The atmosphere wasn't right and just over all didn't suit me. I called Mile High Tattoo and Piercing first and asked my questions about price and times available they gave me a quote was extremely friendly and said I could walk in any time. An hour later I went in said what I wanted. Got the same exact quote as I did on the phone, they had me in and out in around 7mins tops. I'm not one to give negative reviews, but my experience with Pablo has been awful. Where to start? I wanted a cute, dark-purple finger tattoo of a word my bff had written on me. I was told, a finger tattoo would be tricky. They don't like to stay. I would need at least one, maybe more, touch ups. That's why the price was going to be $100. Wow! I figured the price would be worth it as long as he touches it up until it stuck. I go over to his station and look in the color pot a...nd ask, "Have you mixed my color?" Since I wanted a dark violet, I couldn't tell by looking at the ink what color it was, so I asked. I looked up at Pablo who had headphones on, but looked at me and appeared to nod his head in acknowledgment that it was. I sit down and he takes ahold of my hand in a way that I can not see what he is doing. It hurt like hell, but 4 minutes later it's done. I look down & its black! I mentioned it and he shrugged his shoulders and just looked at me with a blank stare. No sorry...no explanation...nothing. I have to live with it now. Did he offer to compensate me for HIS error when I had asked him if he mixed my color? No. So I pay and leave. Whatever. Not overly excited, but not bummed out either. So, I followed his instructions for tattoo care and clearly needed a touch up after 5 weeks. When I called to make an appointment, they acted as if I were diseased. They had all sorts of restrictions as to when they would see me. You see? Once you've had a tattoo, you're no longer a paying customer. So why would they want you to come back? You're a waste of their time. They were argumentative with me and absolutely made me feel like I was an inconvenience. It was only going to take about 10 minutes. I didn't understand the problem. I managed to get in and as I told them, it only took 9 minutes. I let more than 5 weeks for the touch up to heal before I decided to make an appointment for a final touch up, as one full letter is no longer visible. When I called, they had the nerve to tell me there would be an additional charge. WHAT?! No! That's not ok. The receptionist proceeded to tell me only one touch up was free and that there was going to be an additional charge. He said I should've been told that at my consolation, but I was not. I wouldn't have paid $100 for only one touch up if I had known that. $100 may not be a lot to them, but for a SMALL tattoo that should've cost $20-$30, I was robbed. They absolutely bullied me. I would NEVER suggest any women ever go there!!!! You will be treated as if you're an inconvenience, told not to take selfies, and not get what you asked for while being over charged. Shame on you!! My sister and I came in as walk-ins for two small fox tattoos. There was a small wait time of 30 minutes before Charlie was free. He quoted us a reasonable amount. In total from the time we started the paperwork and both had our tattoos completed, the process took a little over an hour. This was my sister's first tattoo and she was a little hesitant about getting the tattoo because she didn't know what to expect pain level wise. If you're looking to have your pierced, ask for Samantha (Sam)! She's incredibly friendly, professional, extremely polite and courteous. Sam is very knowledge and made the whole process about as easy and painless as possible. Heads up though, she uses an actual needle and not the piercing gun so definitely be prepared for that. Three of us went to see her about a month ago (she did an industrial bar and two cartilage piercings) and everything went so well that I went back to see her for another set of lobe piercings yesterday. After searching for the right place with the right vibe for quite a lengthy time and coming up blank, I started looking online for reviews on tattoo shops. Obviously I looked for the highest rated and had my search narrowed down to 2. The first one (only first due to closer location) met me with an elitist attitude and what seemed to be a complete ignorance of what I was asking for (references all in hand). The second was Mile High Tattoo... what a difference. My husband, son and I were met by the very friendly Van and spoke with Matt Garner who actually took the time to listen, offer suggestions, and seem excited to do the work. The shop was clean and professional with the vibe I was seeking... not a club, not a morgue! The price was exactly what I had expected and budgeted and the portfolios were excellent. Obviously, I booked an appointment. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. I was looking for a cover up of a 24 year old steaming kidney on my arm (not really a kidney, but 24 years ago it was a flaming heart) and Matt did such an amazing job in a 3 hour sitting (oh, I was remiss in stating that shop 1 vaguely told me this could take up to two 4 hour sittings due to blah blah and blah....). I left with a turtle that was intricate and beautiful. He was not only thorough in the artwork, but likewise in the after care steps. I am constantly impressed with the work of one tattoo artist in particular, Lonnie Lindberg. Whenever I view his work I see more and more detail to appreciate and the story unfolds with a variety of subplots whereas upon first viewing I mistakenly think it is but a single image. I also like they way he interviews clients. After hearing what they want tattooed he then asks why they want a tattoo which enables the story to have greater depth and personal meaning. p.s. I stopped in there today to have a look around and noticed some great pin-up art on the walls shot by a local photographer. It was nice to see a new twist on an old style of artwork. Read Less
