Messaged to ask if we could schedule 3 people for a tattoo. They said we had to come in to schedule so we go in and I guess it was their lunch break as all but one person was sitting in their back room hanging out and eating (with the door open so they could see us and we could see them). The guy at the desk completely ignored us. There were several other people waiting and no one said a thing to anyone. The guy at the desk must have been getting ready to tattoo someone but who knows, he didn't say a word to us. Someone came out of the back, probably to get a ketchup packet or something, wouldn't even look at us, turned around and went back to whatever they were doing in the back room. I've never felt like an inconvenience and completely invisible before, so after standing there for ten minutes we left. It was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Don't ask people to come in to schedule appointments and then act like they don't exist when they do. I am from SoCal and have several tattoos. I have gotten two very bad tattoos when I was younger, and have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for! Since growing up, I have only gone to amazing artists and have gotten very good work. While visiting Colorado, I decided to get a spur of the moment tattoo and I wanted to cover one of my extremely ugly tattoo that I have hated for years. This tattoo is very dark, mostly black, and very blown out. I was convinced that we would have to just black out the design to cover the old tattoo, but John was up for the challenge! Not only did John do a fantastic job, but he gave me exactly what I wanted. He read my personality and just killed it with his skill and artistry. Further, the price was very reasonable. Stay away! I read the reviews on here and there was only 1 bad review. That person said the artist did a bad drawing and she ended up leaving. I thought oh it's just an upset person but my experience was even worse.I went to get a pretty simple tattoo. It was dog tags for my dogs past and present with a military dog tag chain. John is the artist I got and he did the drawing in under 5 minutes which was fine it was close to what I wanted. I tried to explain and then show him a picture of what i wanted for the chain and he didnt want to see it. He just kept saying i know i know i got this. You are going to love it. Then he didnt even shave the area even after i asked if he was going to. So i trusted he knew what he was doing. Was i wrong!I got home and really looked at what i got and the tag lines were sloppy and the chain was a bunch of uneven circles that weren't even complete circles. My 10 year old daughter could have done better. So I made an appointment to get it fixed at another shop and she did a great job making the best out of what she had to work with. I then tried to contact the owner to try to get my money back to pay for the other artist to fix it. She was on vacation which was fine. So I waited for her to call when they said she would be back from vacation. Still didnt hear from her so I called and they said she was sick and that she would call yesterday. I never heard from her so I am writing this. I am not only disgusted with how I was treated by the artist who was just trying make a quick buck but also the owner who is obviously avoiding me to not reimburse me for the tattoo. So now I am out $360 for a $180 tattoo.I reccomend you go to see Jessica at davians up the road. She is an amazing up and coming artist who actually listens to her clients.I am not the type of person who writes reviews for every little thing. Absolutely outstanding! My first tattoo was by John! He was careful and made sure I was comfortable! Amazing work! I then went back for my big arm piece but asked for Adam since his style is what I was looking for. I told Adam what I wanted, a dragon wrapped around my arm. Tiffany, the body piercer was great! I had a belly piercing that had narrowed, but not closed. She worked on it, and got it opened for me, so I could put another piece of jewelry into it. I highly recommend going here. I had not heard about anybody from this shop before going and went based on Google reviews. I was not disappointed and have already recommended all my friends go here. I was getting my first tattoo so was naturally nervous. Johnny made me feel at ease and gave me realistic expectations of what to expect. The tattoo turned out beautiful! I walked in to schedule an appointment, and I was able to get something set up for the next day. I was hoping to go through Gavin, but when he saw what I had in mind, he referred me to Josh, their photo realism expert. And josh did tremendously! I am getting another from Josh in the next day or two.I was very pleased to be referred to the best artist for the job. A lot of shops will take the canvas that walks in, just to get the money, but this crew makes sure you get the best tattoo possible. They have. New regular in me! I called on a Saturday morning to try to get an appointment for a small ankle tattoo and was told that I could just walk in because they didn't have too many appointments booked for the day. So I walked in, Gavin helped me draw up what I wanted, and I was in and out in about an hour. It was great! Gavin was awesome, he made sure I was comfortable with everything before getting started, worked with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Once we were done he let me know he would do touch ups for free because I got a blackout tattoo and he mentioned that after healing there are sometimes spots that need to be filled back in. I bought a few lip rings here for a good price, and those were the only lip rings that actually lasted me awhile. I would definitely buy body jewelry from this shop again. However, I don't recommend getting a tattoo here. I went to talk to one of the tattoo artists and he had mentioned how they charge hourly, even when HE wanted to take a break to smoke a cigarette.
