This was my first time here, and I decided to get a tongue piercing. The person who pierced my tongue was Xavier and he was so nice and informative. He made me comfortable while piercing my tongue when I thought it was going to hurt. Turns out getting your tongue pierced is not as painful as it looks. He made sure that he was careful and assured me that the piercing would turn out nicely and it did. Me and my mom wanted to get cute matching mother-daughter tattoos, which were very simple (took us 20 minutes to get it done at another shop). We went over there, granted we were walk-ins, but we were told it would be a two hour wait for the tattoo artist we wanted. So we go across the street and eat and wait the time we were told to go back. We go back and both of that artists that were there had “left the shop for the day” and “there wouldn’t be any other artists until the next day.” Very unresponsible and uncommunicative and we will not be going back. Christian has done multiple tattoos on me now and i am very impressed by the work completed. He is very professional about the entire process and has a great attitude always! He took the time to explain carefully about the things that come with having very visible tattoos that i wanted on my knuckles and hand. After being tattooed by multiple places and people i have finally found my go to spot and artist. I love coming in for appointments because everyone on the staff is very kind and nicely mannered. I was totally blown away by this place. The staff there was completely wonderful, and after three years of searching for the right place and artist, I have found it. Jordy did an awesome job on both my daeth piercings. He made sure I was well informed before startimg the pierce. 1st pierce (6wks ago) is healing nicely and very little pain on the 2nd pierce. I used to love tribal rites. been going there since Summer 2015. but after your piercer made my nose bleed from simply helping me put in a ball for my septum ring and messing up my tongue piercing, I gave up. I think Tribal Rites has the highest quality jewelry in town. That's why I chose to go in and get my piercing from them. But the service I received I was not at all satisfied with. I go in to this store often to get new jewelry, and this time when I went in, last Saturday, a new guy was in there that I had never met before. He was very pushy, and very rude TO MY ONE YEAR OLD SON and myself. I tried casually making conversation just to be flat out IGNORED and then he continuou...sly kept telling me to get my son out of there when he was talking a tad bit loud. When you pay that much for an hour (more then 1 hour with crappy scheduling) you shouldn't have to beg to speak or get an appointment. I felt really comfortable with how Mace looked out for me when I came to him about my nipples being pierced previously. He asked how long they had been in for and asked how long I had them out for. When I told him 3-3 1/2 years in and a little over a year out, he told me that he was gonna see if he could taper them back open rather than re piercing since I had them done 3 times over previously. He also assured me that if we could get them to taper back open he'd only charge f...or the jewelry which he did only charge me for the jewelry after finding out we didn't need to re pierce them. Christian also handled my friend well with her tattoo and interacted with the both of us awesomely. So so so disappointed...on the recommendations of MANY friends, we came in tonight to have our daughter's ears pierced for her birthday gift. We were quite surprised to find that for $24.95 plus tax for each ear, we only had 2 choices of studs, both gold plated, and then we were told that we needed to set an appointment, even though your website clearly states walk-in piercings are always welcome, and to call and he'd happily take care of us later. As it was 20 minutes prio...r to them closing, we were understanding. Until a 20-something couple walked in, without an appointment, and asked for 2 separate piercings on 2 people. We walked out after having taken a business card, to get shakes at the Five Guys across the lot. As we were drinking our shakes some 30 minutes later - 10 minutes AFTER the posted closing time, the couple was still in the store getting their piercings done. Way to go Tribal Rites...while your employee was courteous, he just lost you a family of 5 that would have been loyal piercing and tattoo customers for life... We will NOT be back, and instead will be taking our business out of Longmont, to Loveland. **************UPDATE*************** Mike, the owner of Tribal Rites, personally reached out to me, listened fully to our account, apologized on behalf of his employee and made sure that things were made right. We were able to have an open and constructive conversation and Mike offered us a way to take care of our daughter and her ear-piercing. My apologies for not reading the tiny sign on your door about not touching ANYTHING, including my own body and piercing. When I touched my own piercing on my own body and was scolded like a child, I didn't understand that was your policy. It wasn't until the rest of the staff became boldly passive by making multiple rude comments about the people standing in your store ready to give you money, that I realized I missed some unspoken rule. I've had several piercings at this shop, and they are amazingly professional. The shop is spotless, the employees friendly and knowledgeable, the prices fair. Lauren pierced 10g eyelets into my ears, the left looked amazing, but sadly, the right one was not in the right place because my ear is a funky shape. I removed it and waited for it to heal, and in the meantime, Laruren moved down to Westminster. Jordy re-pierced my right eyelet in the absolutely perfect spot, and ...I really loved his manner and his experience, so when I needed my next piercings, I came right to him. Tonight I got 14g rings in my outer labia, and the experience was amazing. Jordy was more than professional and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed. (and that the room was completely closed) He did the piercings very quickly, and there was far less pain than I'd imagined. The jewelry was in and I was admiring his work in a mirror in minutes.
