Wouldn’t pay Mick for bottle of water if my house was on fire. Put zero effort into a tattoo that should have taken 30 mins at least and he took 15. Claims he charges $200/hr because he gets so much done. I’d go anywhere else in Colorado first or at least see the other artists there. Read Less

I bought a Groupon special for an hour of tattooing(x2). I tried scheduling this appointment for weeks afterwards. When I was finally able to get ahold of the shop owner and made an appointment, it was canceled TWO times when I showed up with ZERO notice. The dude (Raul) had my cell number because I texted and called many times. Raul is just extremely unprofessional and has awful customer service. That us too bad because his tattoos look decent. I had a great experience at Skinhouse from the moment I walked in to inquire about my next piece to the actual session less than a week later. I shared a few different pictures that depicted the idea of what I wanted but none of them were exactly what I wanted. Raul listened to me and drew out a perfect representation of exactly what I wanted. Raul is a very talented artist and on top of that, just an all around nice guy! The studio is very clean and I have to say that they play some pretty great music which is a great distraction while you're going through your session. Raul did a matching tattoo for my husband and I (I know..) but we love it. It says 'Everyday for the rest of our lives' on our ribs. I thought it would hurt but it didn't hurt a bit. He has a light hand and was extremely professional and affordable. 10/10 as soon as I can get tattoos again I will go straight to Raul. Raul is lazy and passed me off to the new girl. He left only to come back as I was leaving to ask me for more money, just to say "never mind".  She complained towards the end of our session that her mom bought her an "amazon.com tattoo kit" and her roommates used her sharpies that she uses on skin to color with. (Cross contamination threat.)Gave this photo reference and she left it on my chest the entire time she tattooed .I now have to pay to get this tattoo removed.I would not suggest getting a tattoo here unless you are careless of the outcome. She did the red, purple, green trees. NOT THE SAME!UPDATE: Raul lies saying he had other sessions and says he kept coming over to check on me. How can you have sessions when I'm the only one there and you left to go to the store to get drinks?  Just doesn't make since. I originally rated myself 1 star not for drinking before coming there (which I told the artist and she laughed about it) but for letting myself be dumb enough to get practiced on in your shop. You lie and talk of "stencils "! Stencil definition: a thin sheet of cardboard, plastic, or metal with a pattern or letters cut out of it, used to produce the cut design on the surface below by the application of ink or paint through the holes.Stenciling definition: to mark or paint (a surface) by means of a stencil.to produce (letters, figures, designs, etc.) by means of a stencil.Lies, deceitful practices, cross contamination issues, bad management, and lack professional judgement. When I first moved here, I was nervous about finding a new tattoo artist. I looked at best tattoo places and skinhouse was one of the top. I looked at his work and fell in love! I'm a huge fan of animated tattoos and he has done a lot of those. My best friend came from California to visit and we wanted matching tattoos. We came to Raul and we instantly liked him. He is the sweetest person you will ever meet! We both loved our best friend tattoos so much we came back this past week and got another. We love Raul so much and will continue to come to him! This being my first ever tattoo, I was extremely nervous and more worried about the pain than the actual time it took. Raul did an amazing job making sure I wasn't uncomfortable and made sure the pain wasn't too bad. During the Tattoo process he would ask me how I was feeling and if we needed to take a break, Which we didn't. He made the experience of my first Tattoo something I will forever cherish. I would 100% recommend ANYONE to come see him.Overall amazing Customer service from an amazing talented artist. Also some key notes: Studio was extremely clean and gave me a relaxing retro feeling.
