I had the most positive experience at De La Ink! I am from out of town and was looking to get tattoo while visiting family. I had put it off for years, letting nerves get the best of me. I made a deal with my younger cousin (a minor) that we would get them together. He called and made a same day appointment to get our pieces done, his a small C for Colorado and mine the sun and moon anklet seen in the pictures included. The shop is very clean and beautifully decorated. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Damion who was super knowledgeable and helpful in making our decisions. The shop does not tattoo minors so my younger cousin could not get his tattoo. With this information, Damion was super honest about understanding if we wanted to go to another shop that would. I decided to get my piece at De La but Damion helped my family to find reputable places that could help my cousin. Ivan Martinez did my tattoo. He was so patient with me about making sure my design was perfect from start to finish. The sketch I had brought him was one I had drawn myself. Both Ivan and Damion were honest about the way a smaller tattoo could age and I ended up with a piece a little larger than anticipated, which I love. This was my first tattoo and I could not have asked for a better artist. Ivan took the time to make sure I was okay. I was EXTREMELY nervous at first and he made me feel at ease, asking me questions about the design and making small talk. He also stopped after completing my sun and moon portion to make sure that the orange outline of the shape I had in my sketch was not wanted on the finished product. He made sure to update me as he worked through. When he was finished, he told me to check it out in the mirror and I did notice one of the dots under the moon was smaller than the others so I asked if he could correct that. He was happy to do so and when I apologized (feeling as if it was an inconvenience which I realize was silly now) he was quick to tell me "This is why I tell you to check it out!". He made sure to clean the station before and after I was there. His after care instructions were clear and when I had questions, he gave clear answers. Pricing was super reasonable. Everyone here is very welcoming and friendly. Zak is wonderful and took the time to help me figure out designing my tattoo. He also does amazing work. What a bummer- Was supposed to have an appointment Wednesday & the guy who we were supposed to have an appointment with, apparently scheduled us on his normal day off (after telling us it was the only time he had available to tattoo) and wasn't even there when we showed up for our appointment with him. I am from Pennsylvania visiting this was our first pick & Were definitely excited and left super bummed. Not really the shops fault, but it left a bad impression. I would only give this shop 3 stars. The shop is very clean and the tattoo was done great. However, I attempted to get into contact with my tattoo artist four times in order to get a touch up on my tattoo. He never returned any of my text messages or my calls to the shop. This touch up would have literally taken him 10 minutes at the most, but he was unable to get back to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My spouse was going to get a tattoo done here by the same artist. That tattoo would have been very extensive and expensive. But because he couldn't find time for a 10 minute touch-up, he is now out a huge expensive tattoo. I am sure not all of the artist at this place are just as inconsiderate but I wouldn't take my chances. Read Less

The young man named Ivan did a miraculous job on my clover tattoo! I'm very pleased. His prices were great too for the quality of his work. Incredible shading and line work.
