Be very, very careful here. There is a non-refundable deposit and despite the sign it's not really transferable either. I had an artist not listen to a thing I asked for bit asured me he could do the job. When I showed up he presented me with a sketch that probably came straight from clip art, had no resemblance to what I asked for, then when I informed him AGAIN of what I wanted he told me he had said the tattoo couldn't be done as requested at the consult. As I would not have put down a deposit if he HAD said that originally I can only assume he just wanted the money. Then, when I tried to transfer the money, as the shop sign said I could he informed me it was only my first consultation and he wouldn't do the transfer. When I informed him I was not coming back as he couldn't give me what I wanted he then refused to make eye contact and ignored me. I would NOT recomend this shop. Read Less

I went with friends to do a group tattooing; we consulted with two different artists while the shop was moderately busy.  I got the impression the artist wasn't really listening to me, but I told him what I wanted and even showed him a rough sketch.  I warned him I wanted it over an old surgical scar and he said he had tattooed scars before.  I put down my non-refundable deposit and planned to come back with my friends for our appointment two weeks later.  The day before the appointment the second artist abruptly canceled on one of us, but as our deposits were non-refundable we planned to go in for the other two anyway.  At the appointment I was shown a sketch that probably came directly from ClipArt that had NO resemblance to what I asked to get.  I told him again, and showed him again, what I wanted and this time I was informed that there was NO WAY he could do it, and that he had told me at the time of the consult.  If he had I would not have put down money I was now out.  The third friend, who was happy with her sketch, proceeded to get her tattoo while the other friend and I waited.  I saw that the shop had a sign saying the deposits, while not refundable, were transferable so I planned to transfer it to the one person who had gotten their tattoo.  When I informed the artist he told me it was my fault and it was only the first consult so he wouldn't refund me.  I told him I was not planning to ever come back as he could not give me what I wanted and all I wanted to do was transfer the money.  At this point he turned away, refused to make eye contact with me and ignored me as I continued to speak.I'm sure there are some good artists there, one of the three of us had a very good experience prior to this, but be very careful when dealing with Jason D as he has his own agenda. I would give zero stars if I could. I'm extraordinarily disappointed and angry at the service or rather, lack thereof that I recieved. Dave canceled on me the day before because he had something better to do. I made the appointment weeks beforehand and put down a deposit, and he bailed last minute. The studio is very clean and the people at the front desk and artists are all extremely friendly. I went for a traditional Japanese dragon and chose Rick Brown as the artist. From my consultation all the way through my fourth session, Rick was great. I explained the elements I wanted and the style and let him be the fantastic artist he is. We met a few days before my line work session so I could see the artwork renderings where we agreed on what the final would be. As you can see from the pics the first 4 hour session was line work, then background shading, next was dragon scales and belly color, and the final session brought it all together with the flames and cherry blossoms. I could not be any more pleased with how it turned out. The attention to detail and colors Rick used were perfect. I will definitely be going back to get my other side done. If you are looking for a great studio to get a tattoo you will thank yourself for going to Think Tank. If you get Rick as your artist you will love it! Read Less

Wow, what an awesome place. I stopped in for a super simple, drop in piece. Everyone was pretty busy but the young lady up front asked every artist if they had time for me, and got me in. My artist was very nice and professional, did a great job. The clincher came when I went to pay. I (stupidly) didn't see they were cash only. My tattoo was 120, I only had 60 and no card I could get cash from. This young lady up front was so super awesome. We talked about the situation, and she made an exception to take my card. I can't thank her enough for how understanding and discreet she was. I was super embarrassed to be in that situation, she totally alleviated that. I will be back (with cash!) Charged between $150-250/hr and then put the text on crooked? I feel like I've been had. When I called him on it he said he "forgot to change the clocks"... come on. I was willing to pay more for a good, professional artist but am incredibly disappointed and embarrassed. The colors look okay but dang he just really seemed to not take this seriously and now I have a permanent awkward looking arm tattoo that literally everyone comments "wow that looks crooked". I tried to tell him before he started with the ink but he insisted I trust him. Wish I could get my $1200 back. Read Less

I’m part of the way through a large cover up, and in the three times I’ve been to Think Tank South, I have been impressed and happy to return all three times! I am an absolute baby when it comes to pain, and Matt has worked with me to help make my tattoo experience a pleasant and enjoyable one. He and his staff are courteous, respectful, and competent and the shop is extremely clean and well-run. They are reasonably and fairly priced for the beautiful quality of work they provide. Was my first tat from Will Mordecai the other day. First off, just have to say out of a bunch of shops I've been in my 36 years on this earth, tattoo or no tattoo this place just does it right. Awesome Artwork all over, in history downtown Littleton with the awesome oldschool brick walls. It's so clean, you'd think your grandmother lived there! I'm a small details person and when I went into the restroom and it was super clean, fresh smelling with 10 plus toilet towels and a full bag of hand towels, I thought to myself I've never seen this before- It's very unusual! Loved the abundance of pillows with the cleanly washed pillow sheets. Also, It's huge in there, every artist has its own huge ass area. Small touches that I just love: Free soda pop and candy , very friendly receptions and love the tech texting.  Hands down the best shop I've ever been into. Back to Will, super chill dude with amazing God given gifts, you see his stuff on the internet and he just outdoes himself! I even got to see an amazing Odell Beckham piece his friend got from him the day before. My sis n law for a amazing portrait of her baby pup. Friday we had an apt. with the owner, Matt, to get matching Mom/daughter tattoos. he was 25 min late without apology or acknowledgement. We had sent a picture of the red string of fate tattoo we wanted prior to our visit and I articulated my request on the required tablet form "red string of fate". I also brought a font sample of the font I wanted for the word love. Shortly after he started the tattoo I realized that he hadn't asked what color I wanted. I knew I had sent my picture, and typed what we wanted but I asked anyway...it was black. :( Again no apology. We finished the tattoo and I am happy with the line work and flower, but lesson learned. Followed Rosey to his new home after being at Think Tank's Broadway shop. Have had nothing but great experiences while frequenting this shop (over half-a-dozen visits). The entire staff is always pleasant and the shop is extremely clean and welcoming. This place isn't nearly as intimidating/pretentious as some of the other top shops in and around Denver. I live in California but I was on my first vacation with my puppy Baby. I did this trip alone but just with her to get myself out there and out of my element. She's my emotional support dog and has helped me so much in the few months I've had her so I wanted something to remember our first trip together. I decided the night before my flight to get her paw print done on my side. They were able to work with me so last minute even tho they really didn't have anything available. All tattoos are a tribute to my late father, and Adam has respected every design I've come to him with and executed them flawlessly. I have been in other tattoo shops that feel unwelcoming or if you are not completely covered in tattoos, you are not one of them. This is not the feeling at Think Tank South. What a cool shop! Chris Collinsworth is a great artist that listens to what you are interested in getting done and adds an artistic flair that makes his work stand out. We are in the process of finishing a very intricate and detailed half-sleeve. It is cool to work with a guy that is excited about the potential of the piece, and has some awesome ideas about how to make it stand out as something you have never seen before. I already have people stopping me on the street to complement me on the unfinished work. Chris says that by the time we're done I will want to wear long sleeve shirts, because I will get some annoyed by the attention... If you are looking for something more than a drive by tracing, I would suggest swinging by this cool loft in downtown Littleton. I went in with a concept and sat down with Teddy to discuss what would work best for my body and my budget. After a short chat, he created the most unbelievable piece of original art for me. During the 2 sessions I had with him, I saw the same attention to detail exhibited with every client that walked in.
