This place is awesome! I was planning to go to a different shop in town but the piercer wasn't available. I called Manta about getting my septum pierced and the guy I talked to was super friendly and informative (wish I would have gotten his name). Chris was the artists that gave me my piercing and he was the best. Very accommodating and calming, as I was a little nervous about getting the piercing. I've got a ton of shop experience. This shop has customer service down to a science. They were welcoming, explored options, and even let me know that i didn't have to pay for a service! Lil Chris is an exceptional piercer and truly knows anatomy more than any piercer I've met. I'm glad to have met him. Spider Chris made me incredibly comfortable and welcome to Denver in general by letting me know about things to do that I'm interested in. Had an excellent experience with this shop! I booked an appointment online earlier this week with Geno and his schedule wasn't in real time so he text me that very day to see if another time would work. I sent a picture of what I wanted and explained I was coming from out of town. Geno came in early today on a Saturday to fit me in and was extremely friendly and professional from start to finish. Great experience! I felt very welcome my everyone in the shop. I ended up expanding my original piece into a half sleeve and Levi was there for every step. Every change, every random thought. I liked that he was always respectful, yet really great at steering me away from getting a little too much, when I would get overexcited. You know, the sudden inspiration of can we add this, that, incorporate this? He never made me feel like I was an annoyance or anything of the sort, which I would think would be a difficult line to walk. I felt he truly was vested in me having a piece I would cherish. Was looking to get my nose pierced again and figured I give Mantra a try. Last time I had to take it out because it wouldn't heal correctly (pierced by a different shop). Chris and Claire were really fantastic about making sure I was comfortable and knew everything. I did have to go get a longer rod for my stud because the swelling was so bad and they didn't even charge me because they guarantee their work. I have Arnold Chiari type 1, and three years ago I started getting migraines. Then the daily headaches fallowed. The migraines get to be so bad, it takes days for to recover because I get so sick. There is no cure for my brain condition, so I decided to try the daith piercing. I talked to Claire when first got there, she was a lot of help. Severely overpriced. Was lied to about how much it was to pierce ears. I called a week before we went asking how much to pierce BOTH ears. Was told $45. The girlfriend called same day and was told $45 for both ears. They ended up charging us almost $100. FOR EAR PIERCINGS. The piercer was wonderful, but screw the bro who has outrageous prices on ear piercings. Anything else would be understandable. I went in and got my grandmother's portrait done at Mantra by Jeremy Costilow. The portrait is the absolute best. It looks just like the picture I brought him and he captured her spirit through his tattoo work on her eyes. I do have other tattoos, but I will never again go anywhere else. I first went to the shop to look around, meet the artists and if I liked what I saw I would make an appointment. It seemed clean, well lit and safe. I made an appointment, put down a deposit with Delshay after showing him my art. I and showed up a few minutes early to fill out the paper work, copy my ID, etc. Even though he said I would be his first client that day, when I arrived he was working on someone. I stood there for a several minutes before I could get anyone's attention and when I did Delshay looked up and said "do you need something?" Nice, so polite! He didn't even remember me and when I reminded him I had an appt and HE had my deposit, he said he FORGOT! I had watched him write my name, number and deposit amount down, and luckily it was there when I told him to look. He said he was almost done and we'd start soon. So, I sat down and waited. While I did I listened to the artists and their clients talking. I started getting a bad feeling. They were talking about other clients (mostly women) not there and how they hated working on them because they were "fat" "old and wrinkled" and one who "gets uptight if they party." I asked what that was about and was told there was a "b*tch" who freaked out when she saw one of them drinking a beer in the shop. I should have left then. After over an hour and him still working on the other client (and needing 2 smoke breaks) I finally asked for my deposit back and left. By that time the place was filled with young girls who I guess are regular groupies and just hang around. It was totally unprofessional and I would not suggest anyone go there Read Less

I have been getting my art from Chris Y since i was able to consent on my own. He worked at a place we will not name and he and the crew came up with the genious idea of going into business on their own. That was the best thing they could have done. They have an all star lineup to say the least. Everyone there brings something different to the table. Its a cool shop with the feel of an old fashioned shop. You get to converse with the artists but also the customers as well. I hate the private stalls it feels like your doing something bad or at a docs office!!! You get to see how the artists work and the customers sqirm so if your soft than stick with the fake ones. I recently located to Seattle and have no intentions to get ink out here. I plan on getting on southwest and setting up more time with my boy Chris. I highly recommend Mantra for all the art/piercing needs on the body. Yes Colfax has a million tatt shops but than again if you want a million in a million tatt than visit one of them. If your looking for that HOMERUN than i advise to set something up with with Chris and the crew! Read Less

Delshay is the absolute best floral and girl tattoo artist in the world. He tattooed a beautiful girl surrounded by flowers on my side and I have to show it to everyone. The shape of the girls face and the color of the flowers, I am soooo impressed. Other shops always drew the girl to look sleazy or like one of those bratz dolls, but Delshay drew exactly what I wanted! Check him out. Read Less

I looked all over the city for someone who could do a portrait of my dad. When I got to Mantra I met Paul. He told me that he had been tattooing for about 12 years and showed me several other portraits he had done. He took the time to talk to me and address my questions.
