I recently took my 25 year old autistic son in to get his first tattoo. Joey Black, the owner, personally took great care of him. He took the time to talk to him about what he wanted, how big, and placement. My son felt so comfortable and much more relaxed after talking with Joey about the process. I first went to Lucky13tattoo when i was fifteen with my dad and he got an amazing tattoo on his for arm and for my eighteenth birthday i went to get a Gears of War cog omen on my for arm and the environment is very friendly and the staff make you feel at home. And a few months later i had the Nosferatu put on my right arm and the colors and details are amazing!! The past summer i got Frankenstein's Monster on the inside of my bicep and the tattoo is a masterpiece!!! I get so many compliments on it. And now Joey is working on a Creature From The Black Lagoon piece below Nosferatu. The tattoo is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend going here if is for your first tattoo or a new tattoo. Jessie Super did a cover up for me and it's AMAZING. I went in just wanting a flower tattoo that would cover the previous tattoo and she went above and beyond. It's so pretty then there's all the color, it's just amazing. I've only had it for a couple hours and already got a couple compliments. My mom is actually going to Jessie to get her first tattoo done. I love love love my tattoo! You can't even tell it covered another tattoo which was the bad girls club logo. This place sucks. I didn't even get a tattoo and I think it sucks. The lady, Jess, told me they won't tattoo my hand. I have to "earn it". Her words. Piss off. If I want a tattoo, I want a tattoo. Jessie Super is super talented & professional. I've come to her twice now with a vague idea of what I want and somehow she turns it into a awesome piece of art. She is very professional, you feel like you're getting tatted with the cleanest and best equipment & she takes her time to do things right compared to all my other experiences elsewhere.The shop is clean & the atmosphere is friendly. This is my new favorite tattoo shop!  It's super-clean, beautifully decorated with original artwork hanging on the walls by all the resident artists and owned by a real live rock star!  My artist Dave Shull somehow managed to make my 2 1/2 hours of excruciating pain bearable by his calm, friendly demeanor and great sense of humor.  His design turned out even better than I'd imagined!   You know it was an awesome experience when you're already thinking about your next one as soon as your new one is done.  Thank you Dave and Lucky 13!!! I met Dave at a tattoo convention in San Francisco a few years back, and was delighted to find out that he's based in Colorado (where my partner's family is) and is from California so occasionally guests out here. So far, I've had 4 big tats done by him, which as Christmas visits and his CA travels allow we'll be working to convert into a half sleeve covering my calf.
