I got a cartilage piercing here last summer and the lady did not know what she was doing at all. She tried to use a few different needles, none of them which were the right gage and ended up trying to just push the jewelry in and stretch it many times. A year later it has not healed and I have had so many problems with it. I have many other cartilage piercings done at  a different place which have healed really fast and with no problems. In addition, in the middle of my piercing the piercer said "does she know?". Not something you want to hear while getting a piercing. She neglected to tell me that the gage of the earring was much larger than what I wanted and that they didn't have the right needle to pierce me with. Instead of just telling me that she tried to pierce my cartilage multiple times with different sized needles. I walked out with a very swollen red ear and blood dripping down my ear. It was easily the most painful piercing I have had done due to her lack of care. I'm not one to write bad reviews but am very frustrated. Read Less

I came into the shop tonight because I had my nipples pierced about 2 weeks ago at another shop. The jewelry they put in were too small. I got greeted by two awesome souls forgive me I forgot there names. But Victoria was a blessing she did not hesitate to offer to put longer jewelry in and take the others out. I got a simple symbol tattooed here. It is my 17th so I know how to properly care for a tattoo. With in a day my tattoo was healing strange, and as the debris cleared I could see the artist did not shade in the lines all the way, and even colored outside of the lines. And for 125 dollars for a 2 inch symbol? Ridiculous. Read Less

I went to get my nose pierced Yesterday 4/10/19, and they were phenomenal! The lady at the front desk was so nice, and the piercer Victoria was awesome. The inside of the tattoo shop is so neat, they have a little pond fountain thing and the shop is clean and well lit up. I might have to come back to get a tattoo next time. :) Read Less

Have gotten 5 out of my 9 tattoos here. Today I had Scott and he was the best I've ever had. Not only did he do a great job, but he asked questions about my tattoo and threw ideas out to possibly add onto it and make it more personal. He was funny and very polite. He didn't ignore us like every other one ive had does. He engaged in conversations while still focusing on my tattoo. I jumped a little cause one part hurt so bad and didnt yell at me when I did. Danny did my tattoo and I was trying to be happy with it at first and I'm not happy at all with it. I've had many tattoos never here but they had good reviews. I just did a music cruise and wanted to remember it forever, at first the it looked almost like what I wanted but it's faded and got infected and has not healed any way any of my tattoos in the past have healed. Towards the end of my tattoo the whole process started to hurt more than I was used to and he turned my leg into ground beef pretty much. Just the water color and the "F" were his my normal guy that I should have just waited for did the anchor and pineapple. Don't go here and do not see Danny! I am now going to urgent care because my leg got ungodly swollen yesterday and is still not down all the way! I am seriously hoping I don't have anything major going on in my leg. Read Less

Absolutely worst experience ever with Danny. Due to his inability to pay attention to detail and his know it all attitude this tattoo artist destroyed the tattoo I wanted. Julie was very professional and did a great job on my tattoo. Would recommend, was also a great price. She made me comfortable through the whole process and was very careful to make sure it was exactly how I wanted before starting. Went in for either a piercing change or it out. He tried to talk me into taking it out and repiercing which I wasn't going to do. Went in for a shorter bar, walked out with an imaging expensive longer one. I paid double here than in Phoenix and San Diego. Now, I'll have to buy a shorter one and get it changed again! Read Less

The tattoo artist that I worked with was Derek. Derek is a really nice guy, however, he talked the entire time about incredibly personal topics, making the session last much longer than necessary. I would have preferred that he focus more on the work than on the conversation that he was having with me.The tattoo turned out OK, but it took 2, two-and-a-half hour sessions to get there, and while I like getting, tattooed I would prefer the work to be done with proper focus;  I will be going to another tattoo parlor to get everything completed. I've been here twice, once for a tattoo once for a piercing. Each time staff was rude and unprofessional. Tried to overcharge me for a tiny tattoo the first time and made me wait 15 min before telling me they can't do the piercing I want. Don't come here! Read Less

Great Shop, Crappy Music.My wife has been waiting to get a tattoo for a while. She researched several places but ended up going here because they were open until Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, which work great with her schedule. Walked in the door and they weren't all douchey like some tattoo shops we've been to. They actually greet you and talk to you like the hundreds of dollars you are about to spend are worth it. Very creative group of artist and helped my wife come up with ideas as well as help me put together some ideas as well. The shop is clean and the artist areas are clean. They use new clean items as well as sanitize areas. Good environment and reasonably priced. These guys were very skilled and walked out feeling like we didn't get ripped off. I really enjoyed that place and will be back. Minus the music I was happy overall. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because of the music they play there. It just was not  "tattoo" music. It was more like ... rub oils on a dudes shoulders in an alley while tears build up in your eyes from the shame because you like women, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks ... kind of music. If they could fix the soundtrack to your tattoo that would be great. Instead I have look down at a wickedly awesome tattoo but then I get taken back to the dark moment of the soundtrack of my tattoo. Celebrity was my fourth stop in trying to find a place to touch up a 20-year old tattoo and get some new ink. This was by far the friendliest place with the best environment out of the four local Golden/Lakewood places I visited. Carl was extremely helpful in making suggestions and listening to my ideas. The price was right, and the work was done in a clean and professional manner. Both tattoos look amazing, and I'm extremely pleased that I chose Celebrity and Carl for my work. Dont go to this place! The owner is a scumbag who exploits artists and even outright steals from them . He is greedy and shamelessly hits on his female clientel no matter their age. The artist barely get paid...most only get 30-40% per tattoo...and are expexcted to rush through tattoos as fast as they can to get more people in the door...at the expense of any creativity or real art. Ok so my lady and I go in to get a price on a cover up and to get some ideas the artist there says he can't do anything for us because his back hurts. Ok we didn't want work done we were looking for a price and ideas he looked at the tattoo and says he surprized she ant sick. His cow coworker working with him was actually laughing about that. My wife and I stopped in for some new ink today (I already had two pieces done at this Celebrity location in the past). Their posted operating hours were 12pm -10pm today, but by 12:45pm they still weren't open. (Parking was $15.00, so that was a bit frustrating.) Still, wanted to use Celebrity so we went to their Golden location, which had posted hours opening at 10:30am. Also closed, with a sign on the door indicating they'd be back at 2:40pm. So, quick Google and we went to Faith Tattoo in old town Golden...which turned out to be an awesome place, with fantastic customer service, extremely talented artists...and Faith became our new regular tattoo joint... I've had 5 tattoos done at Celebrity over the last 3 years & would not go ANYWHERE else! Thor & Felix are both incredible artists & all-around cool guys. They take the time to listen to my ideas, talk about what I want & give great suggestions. There's no pressure to do things ""their way"" (as I've had at other shops) and they are honest about the realities of tattooing (for example, telling a customer that a tattoo on the toe will need a lot of touch ups). I'm always impressed with the work I see when I go into the shop. The professionalism at the Lodo shop is second to none. The shop is super clean. I would (and have!) recommend this shop to anyone. I have a total of 11 tattoos done at 6 different shops so I have a little experience in this area ;) I cannot say enough how awesome these guys (and their work) are. I have been going to Celebrity Tattoo since June 2000, I stayed at the Lakewood store up until January 2011 because I had finally had enough! (almost 11 years!!!!) Before I write anything I do want to say that the review titled ""Dirty Drunks"" is not even close to accurate though! Celebrity Tattoo is one of the cleanest tattoo shops in the Denver Metro area, and I can say that about all of their locations. I think that Zeke has done a good job at setting high standards of making sure that his shops are clean. So when it comes to any worry about that, I have NEVER felt that I needed to be concerned about safety or cleanliness when I go there and I have a very low tolerance for anthying that even looks like it might be unsanitary..So I think that review is BS, and probably was written by another shop or someone with a 7th grade education (at best) BUT having said that, I did quit going to the Lakewood location because the bullsh*t there is just too much...They have had a few really good artists leave over the last few years and I still stuck it out going there (and I average 2-3 tattoos a year) its not Zeke that is the problem....Its the manager Natalie, that is the issue...IF you are a female and you walk into that shop, she is the most rude disrespectful human being I have ever had to deal with. She might be that way with the males that walk in there, but i've never seen her try it.. She will make your entire stay there so uncomfortable with her nasty looks and ""sh*t talking"" that is within earshot, that it is misreable being there. And unfortunatly it has created a severe ""high school"" feel in there and sadly isnt just limited to her but other artists as well. Your tattoo will look fine, if you feel like fighting about it with the artist untill they ""give in"" to doing it the way YOU want... There is a new level of arrogance in that place that just sucks....I made the decision to stay with Celebrity though, because like I said, I do appreciate the ""clean"" feel in a Celebrity shop. I went downtown to the location on Market and had a GREAT experience, there were only 2 artists in there when I walked in, and I ended up having Thor do my tattoo touch-up that day and he did an amazing job! Since then I have been back twice and everyone that has been in there while I was there had great work done, but more importantly the atmosphere DIDNT suck!!! I think the Market St location is the better location to get your work done...I hate drama and BS when im getting tattooed and I dont see that happening there. There is no ""manager"" on duty there, but with how worthless the one at Lakewood is, i'm not sure there would be a difference (except for caddy garbage being added) Thor is awesome (he will actually take the time to sit down with you and come up with something you like, and give an OPINION on something that WILL work if he feels what you wanted wont work) and he never came close to ""talking down"" to anyone that I saw him interact with. I am married with kids and really appreciate that he was professional and I could enjoy my time that I get to myself without drama, I am moving out of state but you can bet when I come back Market St is where I will go Read Less

I needed an ugly jail-house tat covered up (in-my-youth), I told the artist Thor to do whatever he thought was kewl.... He did a very good job of covering-up what could be covered and enhanced what was way to obvious. >4 hibiscus connecting a tribal around my ankle (2 pt tat). The next 1 was 4"" tribal fire surrounding a pentagram... Sweet!!! Once again Thor is amazing artist and over-all good dude. Management was very kewl, great tunes played in the back-ground, customer service is high quality, place is very clean & sanitary which to me is the most important thing in that kind of environment.
