Stephen is an awesome tattoo artist! I've come in to have two other tattoos done by him before and they've always turned out better then expected. I just got an awesome sleeve, I was going to get it done immediately, but he told me it would be better to wait so he could work on the line work a little more. I started thinking about it the more the week went on before my appointment and I wasn't so sure I was going to want that specific tattoo anymore. BUT I came in and he wowed me! I got my daith pierced last weekend by Jared. He was really informative about different metals, earring sizes, and other questions I had. The piercing itself was really painful, but he did everything he could to make the experience as comfortable as possible. I really appreciated that he provided specific instructions and a bottle of solution for aftercare, and offered to help me change out the jewelry in the future. I would definitely go back here for future piercings! The price was also very reasonable compared to other piercers I've visited. As we were waiting while Jared was with another customer (though we didn't have to wait long), everyone in the shop was really friendly and the whole place had a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Jared (piercer) is amazing. I've had 23 piercings and he's by far the best in the business   Piercing is what he was born to do.  A light hand and a great conversation makes you forget it's suppose to hurt. It's been a while but since the owner decided to be rude on one of my other reviews I'll let y'all know about my crappy experience here. I came in for a small tattoo the should've been less than 30 minutes. I know small tattoos aren't fun for artists but working in the tip industry myself I'll always make it more than worth their while. Anyway... I walked in with a friend and told them what I wanted, the girl I talked to was really annoyed and grunted. She then pawned me off to another artist that acted annoyed. He drew what I wanted but I wanted it a little different size-wise. I told him that and got attitude about it. It's something I plan to have on my body forever so I want it right.. obviously. It is missed a couple little details because I didn't want to annoy him more. Once he started tattooing me his mood got better. He would tattoo for a few minutes then stop and lean on me and talk to my friend for a few. This happened again and again. He was friendly after he warmed up but still unprofessional. We ended up being there for about an hour and 20 minutes. Otherwise, the artist that did my brother's tattoo was awesome and super chill when I went with him. The guy who did one of my piercings and a few of my friends' was awesome to talk to. Clearly these businesses are lacking and after bad experiences and customer service from employees and the business owner I won't be back. I won't recommend these places either. There is nothing to be done about these experiences so no reason to call and get more poor service. I'd rather send people somewhere I know they'll have a great experience than somewhere that is questionable about customer service and care plans. Read Less

Got a nostril piercing by Meg, the first piercing I've had since getting ears pierced as a toddler. I was nervous but Meg was very comforting and made me feel at ease with jokes. She explained the entire process thoroughly. Everything was clean and sterilized. I picked out a stud, she marked my nose till I was satisfied, and laid me down to start. With a quick inhale, exhale I was done with minimum pain. For $30 I got the jewelry, piercing, and aftercare solution. Three days after my piercing I needed the jewelry fixed because it began sinking into my nostril. I actually went in to the sister shop, Covenant Tattoo, where they adjusted the jewelry to make it longer and put it back in for no charge. The staff here really hope that you enjoy your piercing and that there are no complications. I appreciated getting a follow up text a week later to ensure I was satisfied. Came here on Friday the 13th for piercings with a few friends. The deals provided were great, and the atmosphere inside seemed nice, although I had never been here before. When it was our turn, a red haired young woman came out to get us. we went in the back and right off the bat her attitude wasn't very reassuring or thoughtful. She pierced my tragus and I passed out which definitely wasn't her fault, of course that can happen, but the way she reacted afterwards was what was alarming. Mid- being passed out, she asked me to stand up and move because someone else needed to be pierced. Here we are 2 weeks later, and both mine and my friends tragus piercings FELL OUT!!!! don't think a fresh wound piercing that i paid money for is supposed to just fall out.... on 2 separate people.... very disappointed with this whole situationUpdate- after posting this I received a call from the owner and he was extremely thoughtful and apologized for the whole situation. He actually owns Freakshow, Covenant, and Rocksteady, and i have personally been to Covenant and was extremely pleased with their services. I've had alot of work done with Rocksteady. To this date I've gotten 14 of my 20 piercings there and 3 tattoos. Great work, every time. Jared has done all of my piercings, and is very thorough with explaining the process, answering questions, finding the right jewelry for you and where the piercing will fit comfortably. Ben has done all of my tattoos and does excellent work in color, shading, and detail. The shop in general has a great environment that makes you feel comfortable coming in and getting work done. I went to go get my tragus pierced with my best friend around Christmas time. This was our first crazy piercing together and we were both so nervous. Jared did both of our piercing and he was so helpful and made it so much fun for the both of us. My piercing is almost fully healed along with my best friends. A few days ago I made the wild decision to get a Medusa piercing! I called Rocksteady and was immediately drawn in by the price! Came to Colorado to visit family and I popped into this place with some family and friends to get some tattoos! I called several piercing places around Fort Collins about adding to my preexisting 18g helix piercing by changing it to a 3-point industrial. I spoke with Jared on the phone and he asked me to e-mail pictures of what I already had and what my goal was. I appreciated his fast, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic response! I got the 2-point standard industrial pierced that evening and it was amazingly less painful than I expected. About a month later, I returned to re-pierce the 18g helix up to 14g, after which I allowed both to heal for the next few months while I waited for the custom 3-point industrial jewelry I ordered online. I've never been so happy with a tattoo shop!!! Jake and Jessica were absolutely wonderful and did such a great job tattooing me and my boyfriend. They were so thorough and professional and just overall great characters!
