Just finished the first of 3 sessions to complete a large cover-up. Totally want to rave about this place! The space is clean and the artists all work in private spaces (each artist uses his/her own room). Everyone is genuinely friendly and personable. Each artist is crazy talented and they have different styles, so chances are you're going to find what you're looking for here. Plus, custom work is their thing (no large floppy book of cliche' art in sight). I worked with Kelsey today, who is hilarious and warm. This matters when you're under the gun for 2 1/2 hours! The entire staff is absolutely wonderful; Caleb and Kelsey Knoble are not only a dynamic sister and brother duo, but they are also INCREDIBLE artists (who happened to be my artists at different times). They have gorgeous and detailed artistic styles, and my tattoos are still perfect. This shop is the best. Chill, clean and relaxed atmosphere inside a historic downtown building. They all are some really great guys. Todd did an amazing job on finishing off my half sleeve. It looks freakin' fantastic! Crisp lines, clean and bold beautiful colors. He is fun to chat with, good about listening to what you want and interpreting it well. I'd recommend him for sure!! If you are picky about what you will be wearing for the rest of your life, this is the place to go. I had visited other artists in the FC area for consults and none of them made me feel comfortable enough to trust them. This was my first tattoo, and my experience with Heart & Skin exceeded my expectations. I scheduled a consult and went in with my ideas, which were pretty vague to begin with. Since the tattoo was going to cover a large area, I also wanted my tattoo to be designed to fit the contours of my skin. I can only second all of the ratings here. I was pretty picky about what I wanted with my tattoo and was unimpressed with all of the consults I got in Fort Collins. I was specifically looking for someone who would care as much about my tattoo as I do - I wanted to find someone who was interested in helping me create a story rather than just making a business transaction. I was uncertain about what I specifically wanted so I needed an artist who would help me play with fonts, placement, etc. After seeing a poster for Heart&Skin, I was drawn to the marketing material and decided to set up a consult. Caleb was nothing but helpful and professional throughout the whole process and I really enjoyed getting to know more about him while getting the actual tattoo done. Prices are competitive with the Fort Collins market, the shop is the cleanest and most comfortable one I have seen and he was always quick to respond via email and phone.
