Got a small peace sign tattoo by a guy named Marty. Followed his care instructions and kept it very clean and moisturized yet much of the ink came out within a month of getting it. Had an excellent experience at Covenant Tattoo in Fort Collins. Great customer service and amazing tattoos. My man and I were walk ins and were greeted immediately upon entering and were able to get our tattoos right then and there. He got a large Phoenix on his back (took about 2 1/2 & hours) and I got my first tattoo which was a mini dolphin that took less than 10 minutes. I brought my 15 year old daughter here to get her belly button pierced and her upper cartilage. Shayna and Shane were amazing. Shayna made it very comfortable for my daughter, who was very nervous. Her belly button was completely painless. Her ear was a little tender afterwards but that was to be expected. We got all the aftercare info and she was very professional. Josalin did an amazing job on all my tattoos. She covered a horrible dragon and you can't even tell it was there. She is a very talented artist and I actually have referred 3 other people to her for tattoos and they got tats as well and love her. I went in on Friday the 13th for a tattoo that I made an appointment for. They were very busy and even though I waited a little past my appointment time I had a wonderful experience here! Mike apologized for my wait and was very patient with me as I was being a bit picky about the tattoo placement. He allowed me to watch as he set up which eased my mind about the cleanliness of his work. Everything was very clean and safe. He was friendly and so was the staff. Got my conch pierced by Shae, and it was an awesome experience! I'm used to piercings at this point and know for the most part what to expect, but she was very professional and explained everything to me. I would have given five stars but I recently went back to get the jewelry changed and got it changed by an apprentice under the other piercer, Shane's direction. It was a bit awkward and Shane was snappy with the piercing apprentice who apparently hadn't really changed conch piercing jewelry before. It made the experience a bit tense for me, especially when the piercing was still a bit tender.Overall would recommend this place for piercings, I would just rather see Shae than Shane due to bedside manner. Covenant is my FAVORITE place. I get all of my piercings and my tattoos there. I got some tattoos from Zach, who was talented, professional, and funny! I also get work from Joe, who is friendly, talented, and thorough. Both amazing people and amazing artists! I have gotten piercings from both Shane and Shay, who are both amazing. Both pierced are comforting, professional, and friendly. I've never ever had a problem with any piercing or tattoo. Covenant, in general, has a great vibe. They use clean jewelry, needles, etc (duh). A few months back I took my son to get his ears pierced. Shane was amazing, funny, professional and extremely helpful. He did a great job and it was an amazing experience. Over a month ago I went in to talk to a tattoo artist about getting my next tattoo. I spoke with Nut, (Marty) and made plans as to what we would do with it. Fast forward to last night, even though he didn't have an idea drawn out, he put together my piece amazingly!! We are not done with it, but it is the b...est piece I have seen and completely love it. He was extremely friendly, we had amazing conversation, and he was extremely professional. I haven't stopped talking about his work and showing my new tattoo off all day. Joe has been my artist for almost a year now, I have been to many different artists and although they have all given me great pieces, Joe has by far been the best artist I have had- hands down. I am VERY PICKY about who I let tattoo me, and I finally found an artist I love and trust to stay with. I have 12 pieces as of now and 4 of them have been by Joe just in the year I've met him. I wish I could add photos to my review just to share his amazing talent. It's far more than just his talent though, it's his customer service, flexibility with schedule and passion for his work. My artist is Joe Van Amber. He is working on a full back piece for me of a Japanese dragon. He drew up a beautiful design, and we sat down and he really listened to my input, and made some changes that I really wanted. His line work is incredible, and just as important, so was his professional attitude. It says a lot about an artist when you're getting your spine tattooed and he's able to continue tattooing while I'm laughing my ass off. The shop was immaculate when it comes to cleanliness too. Even the artists not involved were cool to chat with while getting tattooed. Anyone looking for a kick ass tattoo and have some fun while getting it done should check him out. My tattoo came out looking nothing close to what the picture looked like! My artist was not polite at all and doesn't take feedback well. Because of his sloppy technique, my coloring is patchy, my lines aren't clean/even and the design is severely disproportionate. The choice of colors used don't match any part of my picture. I absolutely would not recommend this shop because now I have to spend more money at a different shop to get multiple mistakes corrected! If you want actual quality tattoos and much better customer service, Tribal Rites (or really any other shops besides Covenant) is a better option. Read Less

I got a tattoo to here about 5 Yeats ago about two yeas term that I wanted to get my tattoo a touch up job. I was told when I got the tattoo I would be able to come back for free touch ups. Jacob and I wanted to get mountain tattoos during our third visit to Colorado. I love this state and will make it home one day, so what better way to honor it than with a tattoo?I'd bookmarked some tattoo shops in Denver and planned on doing a walk-in. Things changed after we visited New Belgium brewery and decided to just go right then. I checked a few places on Yelp and came across Covenant. I called and they said they had walk-in availability so we went for it. We were paired up with Marty Sandoval. He was really personable and fun to talk to. His hourly rate is $100, which is extremely fair. He did mine first, then Jacob's. He had a very light touch and did a wonderful job on the design then application.Fair prices, good artists and it's located inside an old auto garage.
