I got my first tattoo done at love n hate by Cory and I couldn't be more happy with it! I had been wanting a tattoo for a long time, finally saved up the money, and I was looking for a specific style of tattoo. So after researching for literally months, I found love n hate and it was honestly perfect because a friend and I were going up to Denver anyways for a concert. I called up the shop and destiny informed me that Cory was available one of the days I would be in Denver. I also tend to overthink a lot of things but Destiny was super helpful, answering all my questions via email over the course of about two weeks. Upon arrival, Destiny was just as nice in person as she was over email, and Cory was super cool. He showed me the drawing he made and I loved it. I only changed like two things just because there was one element that was missing that had meaning to me but he happily went back, drew it up again with the added change. The tattoo itself looks amazing and I get compliments on it all the time. I liked Cory's work because of how real it looks and how well his line work is. Just got a hip piece by Cory and I'm absolutely in love with it! My high expectations were blown out of the water and I can't stop staring at my new tattoo! The shop is very professional and clean and everything was made very clear from deposits to aftercare. Amazed would be an understatement!!! I called the tattoo studio on Thursday evening just on a limb to inquire about a new ink piece. I was greeted promptly by Destiny who was phenomenal with answering my MANY QUESTIONS and also confirming scheduling and designs with the artist Hunter! After the exceptional customer service I received over the phone I booked my appointment for the following business day. I meet with Hunter who created a wonderful design JUST for me!! It had EVER piece of detail I wanted along with his jeweled touch!!! Hunter stayed AFTER HOURS to complete my tattoo with no complaints and made me feel welcomed. My tattoo took roughly 4-5 hours due to the size and detail. NO RUSH JOB. I am visiting here for work and I will be sure to come back here every time I’m in Denver looking for a tattoo!!! I recommended this place to friends and family already and it hasn’t been a full 24 hours since the completion of my tattoo. I love it here!!! VERY CLEAN tattoo studio. Love N Hate is by far the best tattoo shop I have ever been in. It's always clean and their staff is always friendly and welcoming. I've been tattooed here three times, all by Gabe Lopez. These were not small or easy pieces, in every case we've first talked about what I want, then when the time comes, he'll show me what he's drawn and it's always exceeded expectations. I don't think I've spent less than 6 hours there for each session, Gabe is constantly asking if I'm comfortable, making sure I'm doing alright. During the tattoos there's usually a constant conversation going on between all the artists and clients, it truly feels like I'm hanging out with friends. She was very helpful and detail oriented about the tattooing process, she answered all my questions, and overall represented the shop in a very professional manner. The artist who inked me is Hunter. Let me just say that this dude is legit across the board. It's very evident that he cares deeply about his craft, and is very skilled at what he does. Josh is an amazing artist. One of my colleagues referred me to Josh several months ago. She had great things to say about him. So, I went and reviewed his Instagram page to see his work. I was impressed. So, I called the shop and set up an appointment. I had to wait about three months to get in. Which was not a problem for me. About a week before the appointment, Josh messaged me to make sure he had all of the details right and made sure I was getting what I wanted. When I arrived at the shop I was very pleased. The lady at the front desk, (destiny) was real nice and hospitable. Also, The place is very clean. Then right on time Josh came and confirmed a few things with me then made the stencil. It was a long session about six hours. But throughout the entire time, Josh was great, he made sure I was comfortable and he is just a cool guy in general. Throughout the six hours everyone in the shop had casual conversation, which was entertaining while I got my tattoo. Made the time fly by. I am more than satisfied with my tattoo. I went to watch a friend get a tattoo, and the people at this shop were so incredibly wonderful! I have only been in a couple shops that had a home-like feel to them; where people were respectful more than anything, and this is my favorite one yet! Such a great experience. Forrest finished a tattoo for me that another artist started, and was so awesome and patient about trying to finish it not knowing what the other artist imagined. He also squeezed in a small tattoo of my cat that passed away unexpectedly into the same appointment, drew it on my leg in sharpie and it turned out awesome. Exactly what I wanted. This shop is the best shop in the Denver area. I had four tattoos prior to going to Gabe at Love n Hate. Gabe has done the last three tattoos I have got and I will never go to a different artist or shop. All the artists in this shop are true artists who genuinely care about the work they do. The atmosphere is great. They are interested in their clients and the work they do. The shop is clean and I know Gabe holds the shop and his employees to the highest of measures. Unfortunately I would not recommend this shop due to their lack of professionalism. I put down a deposit and was told I would need to wait 3 months to get tattooed which I was willing to do for their talent. However I was also told I would be able to at least see the sketch a week prior to my appointment to make sure I liked it but that never happened and when I didnt hear from him I finally got a hold of him myself and asked about the sketch at which point he responded by telling me he didnt have it because he got "side tracked." He attempted to throw something together last minute which was sloppy and nothing like the idea I showed him. I think I spent at least one hour during the consultation discussing exactly what I wanted so I was completely baffled with what he came up with. When I brought this concern up to him he began attacking my taste calling it a "shit amateur drawing." Thats fine but I think a true artist would be able to take a "shit amateur drawing" and turn it to something more complex and beautiful if he really had the talent.  If thats not possible, a true professional would humbly say It was beyond his scope and not agree to do the piece, take my money, waste my time and give me false hope.  When I asked him for my money back he asked me to give him one more chance. I reluctantly agreed and two days later he irresponsibly told me he couldn't finish it again because this time he wanted to watch the Bronco game. Lol hopefully with some growth and maturity he will learn the meaning of business ethic. Read Less

Where do I start, I got a tattoo in January by a guy named Jon Gonzalez, he butchered me big time. My tattoo got infected within a few days. I have several other tattoos and know how to take care of them. I had to get 3 shots, a tetanus  shot and two antibiotic shots. This was a very painful experience and my tattoo is still not healed. It will be a long time before I can even get another tattoo  to fix this on , because the area is still very sore. They promised me they would take care of me, now they gave me the $80 back for the tattoo and paid one of my dr bills of $170.  But my dr ordered an ultrasound from there location, these guys sent me to their ppl who did the wrong ultrasound. And now I have received more dr bills that they refuse to pay for. If I were you I would stay away from these ppl. Read Less
