What is there to say about Crimson Hilt...other than the best tattoo shop in the country! From the time you step foot through the threshold, to the time you leave...absolutely outstanding customer relationships and a very comfortable family feeling. The cleanliness of the shop is immaculate and ensures quality work despite how amazing all the artists are. The environment is very inviting, relaxed and again very clean with awesome vibes. I've been to multiple tattoo shops from East coast to West coast and found a home at Crimson Hilt! Alex Taylor is a sevant with a tattoo machine! From the start Alex ensures comfort, and is happy to help with any design or dream you have built up to get tattooed. I've spent over 40 hours with Alex getting tattooed and have never felt so at ease and happy with the work he has done for me. He is very easy to speak with and explains everything in a fashion that I can understand, and not make me feel stupid for asking questions. Alex and the other artists here are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any question you have on tattoos. I highly recommend Alex Taylor he is a top dog in the tattoo world and can't wait to see him again. I've also seen Moeh Haywood and again the mans art work is something I'll tell my grandkids about. Just like Alex he is committed and dedicated to the art and has a passion for the work he does. I'm beyond proud over the work Moeh has gifted me with and can't praise his work enough. To wrap this review up Crimson Hilt is the best shop in the country! Alex and Moeh are absolutely sensational artists and can't wait to get back in to get more work done by both of them. My tattoo was done by Alex, and my wifes tattoo was done by Moeh. Both tattoos came out looking great and everyone in the shop was really nice and accommodating.I will be heading back for my next tattoo, and can not recommend this place more

I was beyond happy with my experience at Crimson Hilt today. I walked in at 4pm and said, "This tattoo means a lot to me. But I hate the orange and I want to create something around it." And Moeh brought it. I was thrilled with his spot on design and his talent is incredible.
Crimson Hilt took in two walk ins at 5:30 and treated us like we had made an appointment weeks ago. They were friendly, open and honest and an overall a fantastic shop. Thank you to Moeh and Alex for bringing more art into our lives 💗

Break the paradigm of the traditional tattoo experience. There are some many aspects of this artist that set him apart. His artistry is pure, unique, and comes from a place of beauty. His design and execution are unrivaled. He has a unique perspective that is magical and it shows in his work. Most people choose tattoo as a form of body modification or an expression of art and creativity. His work is like putting a masterpiece on your body. JD is wonderful to consult with, humble, and he has this incredible ability to listen and understand what a client wants. Trust is the highest honor I can imagine giving a tattoo artist, and I would have the upmost confidence turning over a patch to him and letting him go to work.

James P. specifically helped me out a variety of times, to plan my unique tattoo. I have at least 7 different colors in my tattoo, everyone thinks it's a stamp and that it's fake The lines are so fine and you should see the body and eyes on my butterfly. I already want him to add a rose and it hasn't even been two months! He made me feel so comfortable and gave some special numbing cream on the rough spots. Go see JD next time you feel like you need some ink!

I also saw his new tattoos, which are phenomenal no doubt, but even after healing the tattoos had vibrant color and the lines were crisp. I work here and I love what I do. It's apparent in the work that I put out in that I care deeply about each piece I produce. I'm incredibly grateful for every individual that I have the privilege of tattooing and anyone that carries one of my tattoos on their body ends up building a life long connection with me. I love tattooing and I love people. The other artists that work at this shop are also incredible and kind people. I've worked in so many different places and different shops and can truly say I have never worked for kinder individuals. Such a great experience! I was recommend from a delivery guy (😂 that I meet only bc I was house sitting for my friend) He had some work done by Mo Haywood. When I called Mo was off for the day but the man, Charlie, was so nice telling me to come in the next day and if Mo couldn’t do my tattoo that they would make sure I was helped by someone. Luckily Mo was available and was so great with me. He touched up my old tattoo to incorporate the new one I wanted. Super grateful to him for his work, professionalism and humor. I would def return when I visit Denver again n highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great tattoo artists!

Was in Denver for a week and wanted to get some art work done on my forearm. Stopped into a few shops but didn't feel the vibe. My daughter was getting haircut and next door was Crimson Hilt. Read some reviews on yelp and went in looking for Moeh. To my surprise when I was met inside it was Moeh. Looked at his work and it was tight and original. So we talked about what I wanted and he had great ideals. So since I was leaving the next day I wasn't sure we could pull this off. Moeh came in the next day on his day off to do the work. Talk about dedication to his customers. He did a great job and the lines were perfect, couldn't of been happier. Like the other reviews that said Moeh is a great artist and a great human being, is so true. The shop is clean the staff that I met were very professional and just cool people. They really do go the extra mile to work with you and make sure the design is perfect and exactly what you envision.I got my first (and only) tattoo here. I got a pretty large and detailed thigh piece. Alex was unbelievably accommodating considering I had no idea what to expect. Myself and two of my best friends all got our firsts on the same day, and Alex did all three of them. It was a memorable day to say the least, and I would 100% recommend Alex, or any of these guys for that matter, to anybody. Definitely give them a call and schedule a consultation to start designing your dream tattoo, I promise you will not regret it!

I was referred to Moeh through a friend who has had quite a bit of work done by him. We met, I briefly explained what I wanted, but left a ton of the small details up to him. When he sent me a sketch later that week, I literally only had one tiny request to change one thing - everything else was perfect even though I hadn't been fully able to envision it.My tattoo ended up taking 2 sessions as it is a fairly large, VERY detailed piece down the side of my thigh and Moeh was super friendly and professional the entire time. It's been over a month now and it has healed beautifully. When I eventually give in to the urge for more tattoos, I'll be coming back to Moeh for sure.

The tattoo process itself was really fast, and he reassured me throughout that I was doing great--basically, just a really nice guy who's awesome at his job. A friend was visiting me in Denver when we decided to get "matching" themed tattoos. She found this place by accident (she got her hair cut next door) and we're so happy she did. Between the two of us, we were in the shop 4 times within a week and a half, talking to artists and getting tattooed. Charlie (C. W.) took care of us each time. He was friendly, gracious and just an all around good guy. We walked in with only ideas and he gave us exactly what we were looking for.It had been 16 years since my last tattoo and really wasn't sure what to expect nowadays. Charlie took the time to really listen to my very different ideas and put them all together perfectly. I couldn't be happier with his work!Absolutely clean and professional shop and atmosphere. I can't say much about the other artists (as I only interacted with one) but I can definitely say that Charlie's professionalism, beautiful work and graciousness has got me excited about the prospect of future tattoos. And my friend says she'll be back in Denver next year for another piece by Charlie.

From the minute we stepped in the door, we felt comfortable, which is a rarity in the world of Boston 'hipper-than-thou' tattoo artists. The staff was super-friendly, seemingly excited to be tattooing and totally professional. My wife got a piece by the owner and I set up an appointment to get a larger custom piece done by Jon Hall the next day. Everything went perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Jon seemed like a super nice guy, as did the rest of the staff, worked fast, and actually charged me LESS than the quoted price(unheard of in Boston). I don't know why these guys only have four reviews on Yelp, but if you're in the Denver area, definitely consider giving them your business.

They changed the name but kept the artists,who now own the shop. Moeh Haywood has done all of my tattoos, from scripting on my side to my full sleeve. The shop is clean and welcoming. All of the guys who work here make it a fun place to while away the many hours it takes to get tattooed. I also love that all of them are artists outside of their tattooing. I think that's part of what makes them so talented. Moeh is amazing at creating a tattoo from my few scattered ideas and maintaining a feminine feel."Don't worry Dad! No skulls!" But don't worry boys, they are as good with the masculine as with the feminine. Diversity only serves to create a more well rounded artist.Not only do I love each of my tattoos, I am consistently stopped on the street or in a store by someone who wants to look at my work.

From the start Alex ensures comfort, and is happy to help with any design or dream you have built up to get tattooed. I've spent over 40 hours with Alex getting tattooed and have never felt so at ease and happy with the work he has done for me. He is very easy to speak with and explains everything in a fashion that I can understand, and not make me feel stupid for asking questions. Alex and the other artists here are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any question you have on tattoos. I highly recommend Alex Taylor he is a top dog in the tattoo world and can't wait to see him again. I've also seen Moeh Haywood and again the mans art work is something I'll tell my grandkids about. Just like Alex he is committed and dedicated to the art and has a passion for the work he does. I'm beyond proud over the work Moeh has gifted me with and can't praise his work enough. I was beyond happy with my experience at Crimson Hilt today. I walked in at 4pm and said, "This tattoo means a lot to me. But I hate the orange and I want to create something around it." And Moeh brought it. I was thrilled with his spot on design and his talent is incredible.
Crimson Hilt took in two walk ins at 5:30 and treated us like we had made an appointment weeks ago. They were friendly, open and honest and an overall a fantastic shop. Thank you to Moeh and Alex for bringing more art into our lives 💗

His design and execution are unrivaled. He has a unique perspective that is magical and it shows in his work. Most people choose tattoo as a form of body modification or an expression of art and creativity. His work is like putting a masterpiece on your body. JD is wonderful to consult with, humble, and he has this incredible ability to listen and understand what a client wants. I have at least 7 different colors in my tattoo, everyone thinks it's a stamp and that it's fake The lines are so fine and you should see the body and eyes on my butterfly. I already want him to add a rose and it hasn't even been two months! He made me feel so comfortable and gave some special numbing cream on the rough spots. Go see JD next time you feel like you need some ink!

I also saw his new tattoos, which are phenomenal no doubt, but even after healing the tattoos had vibrant color and the lines were crisp. I work here and I love what I do. It's apparent in the work that I put out in that I care deeply about each piece I produce. I'm incredibly grateful for every individual that I have the privilege of tattooing and anyone that carries one of my tattoos on their body ends up building a life long connection with me. Such a great experience! I was recommend from a delivery guy (😂 that I meet only bc I was house sitting for my friend) He had some work done by Mo Haywood. When I called Mo was off for the day but the man, Charlie, was so nice telling me to come in the next day and if Mo couldn’t do my tattoo that they would make sure I was helped by someone. Luckily Mo was available and was so great with me. He touched up my old tattoo to incorporate the new one I wanted. Super grateful to him for his work, professionalism and humor. Was in Denver for a week and wanted to get some art work done on my forearm. Stopped into a few shops but didn't feel the vibe. My daughter was getting haircut and next door was Crimson Hilt. Read some reviews on yelp and went in looking for Moeh. To my surprise when I was met inside it was Moeh. Looked at his work and it was tight and original. So we talked about what I wanted and he had great ideals. So since I was leaving the next day I wasn't sure we could pull this off. Moeh came in the next day on his day off to do the work. Talk about dedication to his customers. He did a great job and the lines were perfect, couldn't of been happier. Like the other reviews that said Moeh is a great artist and a great human being, is so true. The shop is clean the staff that I met were very professional and just cool people. They really do go the extra mile to work with you and make sure the design is perfect and exactly what you envision.I got my first (and only) tattoo here. I got a pretty large and detailed thigh piece. Alex was unbelievably accommodating considering I had no idea what to expect. Myself and two of my best friends all got our firsts on the same day, and Alex did all three of them. It was a memorable day to say the least, and I would 100% recommend Alex, or any of these guys for that matter, to anybody. Definitely give them a call and schedule a consultation to start designing your dream tattoo, I promise you will not regret it!

I was referred to Moeh through a friend who has had quite a bit of work done by him. We met, I briefly explained what I wanted, but left a ton of the small details up to him. When he sent me a sketch later that week, I literally only had one tiny request to change one thing - everything else was perfect even though I hadn't been fully able to envision it.My tattoo ended up taking 2 sessions as it is a fairly large, VERY detailed piece down the side of my thigh and Moeh was super friendly and professional the entire time. It's been over a month now and it has healed beautifully. When I eventually give in to the urge for more tattoos, I'll be coming back to Moeh for sure.

I went in this weekend for a tattoo and was INSANELY nervous--like, sweating, hands shaking, etc. When I met Jamison, he immediately put me at ease. He was great about working with the image I brought in and addressing my sizing/placement/color concerns. The tattoo process itself was really fast, and he reassured me throughout that I was doing great--basically, just a really nice guy who's awesome at his job. I absolutely loved the final result, and I'd definitely recommend this place!

A friend was visiting me in Denver when we decided to get "matching" themed tattoos. She found this place by accident (she got her hair cut next door) and we're so happy she did. Between the two of us, we were in the shop 4 times within a week and a half, talking to artists and getting tattooed. Charlie (C. W.) took care of us each time. He was friendly, gracious and just an all around good guy. We walked in with only ideas and he gave us exactly what we were looking for.It had been 16 years since my last tattoo and really wasn't sure what to expect nowadays. Charlie took the time to really listen to my very different ideas and put them all together perfectly. I couldn't be happier with his work!Absolutely clean and professional shop and atmosphere. I can't say much about the other artists (as I only interacted with one) but I can definitely say that Charlie's professionalism, beautiful work and graciousness has got me excited about the prospect of future tattoos. And my friend says she'll be back in Denver next year for another piece by Charlie.

From the minute we stepped in the door, we felt comfortable, which is a rarity in the world of Boston 'hipper-than-thou' tattoo artists. The staff was super-friendly, seemingly excited to be tattooing and totally professional. My wife got a piece by the owner and I set up an appointment to get a larger custom piece done by Jon Hall the next day. Everything went perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Jon seemed like a super nice guy, as did the rest of the staff, worked fast, and actually charged me LESS than the quoted price(unheard of in Boston). I don't know why these guys only have four reviews on Yelp, but if you're in the Denver area, definitely consider giving them your business.

They changed the name but kept the artists,who now own the shop. Moeh Haywood has done all of my tattoos, from scripting on my side to my full sleeve. The shop is clean and welcoming. All of the guys who work here make it a fun place to while away the many hours it takes to get tattooed. I also love that all of them are artists outside of their tattooing. I think that's part of what makes them so talented. Moeh is amazing at creating a tattoo from my few scattered ideas and maintaining a feminine feel."Don't worry Dad! No skulls!" But don't worry boys, they are as good with the masculine as with the feminine. Diversity only serves to create a more well rounded artist.Not only do I love each of my tattoos, I am consistently stopped on the street or in a store by someone who wants to look at my work.
