I was recommended to Eric for my coverup tattoo. I told him my ideas and thoughts and the pictures of what I was thinking. He did an absolute stunning job. This is number 8 for me. I will use no over artist. He has a very soft gentle hand. I normally bleed and he was so gentle that I didn't. I'm 24 hours after and it feels amazing with little swelling. One week ago today me and my newly wedded bride were in Colorado for Riot fest and wanted a tattoo. We drove around for hours looking for the right shop meeting different artists. I walked in to Brave New World one afternoon on an impulse to get another tattoo... Ben was my tattoo artist and he did such an incredible job with it. The space was clean professional which j really appreciated. My sister and I were walk-ins on a Monday. We wandered in looking for two very different tattoos and Ben did a beautiful job with both. Mine is a straight line down my back and my sisters was a few bird silhouettes behind her ear - simple but high risk if not done correctly. Ben Vigil is a legit artist!! Flew into Denver last April to move to the springs and had Ben do some artwork for me.  Came up to Denver last night and called up Ben asking to have some colors touched up, he squeezed me in at the end of his day! He's always friendly and his work is wonderful. As an artist he will listen to what you want and go create it and then make sure you are happy with it. Ben did a great job tattooing my husband and I. We got exactly what we wanted and he was very kind and professional. Neither of us had been tattooed in a long time and he was very patient and made us feel comfortable. The owner got mad i had a pinched nerve in my back cut the  sitting short while i still had 40 mins on the clock and then since were neighbors didn't give me a ride home like he said he would. he stopped in the middle of giving me a full back piece, sleeve, and chest piece. i now have patches of stupid randomness all over my back. there is also ink outside of the lines that i had to get fixed. good thing was he was unprofessional enough to let me have pictures of all the tattoos and i got it all fixed for a 3rd of the price he was charging me (eric cox). do not be fooled by eric coxs creativity, it comes from drugs. and do not be fooled that he can draw, just because he can does not mean he can tattoo Read Less

There's always good music in the air, and you know upon first conversation that you are in the midst of someone who surrounds himself with the standards of fine art. I have been noticing and admiring Eric Cox's art for years, and just in the last year and a half found myself in his chair. I came to him with a vague idea, a smattering of images that represent a style I'm interested in, and not much more. This place is excellent! I am from California and was visiting Denver for a weekend. They are not normally open on Sundays but Haley McMahon made an exception and allowed me to make an appointment. They met with me -- I came down in person -- and were flexible and understanding. I could only get my tattoo done on Sunday due to time constraints and other plans. Everyone in the shop that I met was friendly. On Sunday I showed up, Haley met me there, and he was very professional, but also very welcoming and friendly. One of my favorite things about this shop (this is my fourth tattoo -- a different place each time) is that they were very thorough in their explanation of cleanliness and the entire process of sterilization. The tattoo came out great. I am really happy with it. I initially only showed up with a concept and a crappy drawing that I did myself and he took the idea and redrafted it to form something worthwhile. The shading is cool and he listened when I had little critiques in regards to the way the outline looked. This was an overall awesome experience and a great tattoo. Afterwards I was waiting for a cab and he gave me a ride to where I needed to be. Really welcoming. I decided to get a tattoo at Brave New World while helping my girlfriend move down to Denver and boy did I pick the right tattoo parlor. Enrique was the artist who did my tattoo and was incredibly accommodating. We discussed design and then settled on a price. During the course of the tattoo Enrique made several excellent design suggestions and even did another 20 minutes worth of coloring FOR FREE and all because we were running ahead of schedule. The guys there were really welcoming on the phone and made me feel at home and comfortable from the moment I stepped in the door. I had my tattoo done yesterday at Brave New World, Enrique Lazaro was my artist. He did a fantastic job, I came in a week ago and consulted with him, I told him the basics of what I was looking for because I didnt have a design already drawn up, he asked my some questions about it and then said he would have it for me. I came in and he showed me what he had drawn, it was perfect! I had a half sleeve done of a lion with tribal designs, it took about 6 hours.
