Disappointed in the service.  Called multiple times to find out information on piercing. When they answered the phone, they were great.  The lady was Nice and friendly and filled with information. Get there between 5:30-6:00pm. They get here at 6 to do piercings and we close at 7. We arrive at 541 and the guy must not have had as much enthusiasm to work as she did. 2 other people in the store.  Told all of us the piercer wasn't there but already booked.  No one else in the store.  My group and the other group looked at each other and left.  Not the right way to do business. Got my septum pierced here by Eric! The other location in town doesn't do septum piercings. He did a great job, I've barely felt any pain at all! Also it's super cute in my opinion. Overall not a great experience, but partially due to not knowing the hours the piercer works. They don't have someone to do piercings until 12:30 every day. I arrived at 11 and they informed me of this and I said I would be back at 12:30. I arrived at 12:30 and the piercer informed me that he was totally out of cartilage piercing supplies and I would have to come back. I asked the girl downstairs when I might expect the manager back with the supplies and she said 20-30 minutes. I left again and came back at the appointed time and finally got my piercings. My niece and I (Brenda) lucked into getting nose piercings with Erik downtown.   He's VERY experienced and very informative. I have never had a piercing except for ears and he made us feel comfortable and informed us on the process.   He is an artist and knows what he's doing, so be prepared to listen to what he suggests. Do bring cash for a tip. You can put it on your card, but that's all before you get pierced. You'll probably want to tip more.  The staff was great too!  We had lots of laughs while we waited. Called for information before I drove 17 miles . Staff answered all my questions and told me to come in. When we showed up , the wrong info was told to me and we were not able to get the piercing . Staff should be trained before the answer questions. Very unprofessional. Read Less

Quite a friendly place that truly knows what they’re doing. First of all, it’s a first come first serve basis, no appointment needed. My friend and I went and had 3 piercings done between the two of us. Rae, the piercer, did an excellent job giving us info prior to the piercing as well as afterward. This IS basically my go-to spot and the joke is my secondary home. They treat me so well that I took my daughter into the parlor side to be pierced. I got my tongue pierced, as did my boyfriend. Everyone was very nice. Everything seemed very clean. The piercer seemed to know what she was doing. It was all great until we got home and looked at our tongues and realized how far back she put the piercings. My boyfriend had his tongue pierced in the past and specifically asked that this new piercing be put more toward the front. Rather than that, she put the piercing even further back than the first one. His piercing is also very sideways slanted and my piercing is slightly sideways slanted but very slanted front to back (on top of my tongue it is very far back, underneath my tongue it's very far forward). I really like this shop, and all the people who work here. Next time though, I'll be sure to be more specific or draw my own dot where the piercing should go. Read Less

It's a great head shop. For some of you that's all you may need to know. For others, I would describe this place as kind of a counter culture general supply supply store. They have t shirts they have posters they have tapestries they offer tattoos & piercings... They have all kinds of goodies. I hear they have an amazing selection of pipes as well... I went to Freaky's for my first real piercing, and my experience was above and beyond everything I could've expected. My friends had recommended Freakys to me after getting their nipples pierced there, and before going I researched some of the popular piercing studios around town and decided on Freakys: best decision. I overall feel like it's the best place to get the best experience and value out of what you pay for the piercings. The piercings are all very reasonable and I was more than content with my experience with Eric the piercer who I would 10/10 recommend. He clearly explained what would be happening, he explained his own background, answered all my questions immediately and effectively, and made me so much less nervous for the piercing I was about to get. Always HONEST & on their game!! Freaky's downtown has never done my family and friends wrong.... 2 tattoos, 3 piercings and counting. Eric is an experienced and careful, professional piercer, he quickly identified and fixed some bad work done by a different piercer at another C/S location. Loren is excellent artist himself or can easily make your design, your ink! I got a piercing done here about two weeks ago and I was honestly becoming a little desperate when I was asking around seeing if various parlors did specific piercings. Freakys is very knowledgeable about a wide spectrum of piercings and I felt very comfortable getting it done. It was very inexpensive considering the awesome service. The guy who did it was very professional and extremely understanding. I loved the service there. My only issue is that they don't take appointments. Both my sister and I went here for piercings. The staff was nice, knowledgable and friendly . They had a nice jewelry selection as well. Ben , our piercer, was clean and professional . He did an excellent job with both of our piercings ( septum and nostril ). The only down side ( the only reason I didn't give 5 stars) would be the condition of the building it self. I came in this evening to have my navel pierced. Loren was working and when I came in greeted me. He looked at my navel ( I was previously pierced, and I was sent away from another shop that said they could not pierce me) and said that in fact he could do it, he would taper my current piercing to make it work, it was fast, painless, clean. If I could give no stars I would. So annoyed! I went in for septum piercing after being turned away from Living Art because their artist said it was the only piercing he didn't do. I called ahead and asked if I needed an appointment and the girl said to come on in. So I did and the piercer was with two girls and one was getting her nose done. She started feeling faint so she sat down, and then said she was fine and the piercer made her lay down and said she "didn't get to decide anymore". He then came to me and advised that I go home and "think about it" to make sure the pain and 30 dollars was worth it. Mind you this was already after he said something along those lines and I still said I wanted it. But I was turned away so he could spend more time with the cute client before me. FOH Read Less

A little over priced if you ask me. I also dont feel the safest going after dark. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Have bought a few things from here and would return again. They have specials from time to time. Their emails are like once every 6 months. They have a huge selection just not what im willing to pay when i can go somewhere closer get the same thing cheaper. Amazing compared to the other Freaky's location the people that work in this one are so much nicer and more knowledgable. I really appreciate them and have been extremely awesome.  I just wish we could put the people in this location to the other because the other location is closer but I go wayy out of my way just because of the awesome customer service and their knowledge. This is the best smoke shop in Colorado Springs. Aaron and Shenoah were extremely knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I had a lot of questions and they knew exactly which direction to lead me in.
