Shelly is a phenomenal artist. She has a brilliant eye and exceptional attention to detail. She is completely open to changes before the ink starts to make sure you are ecstatic with the final product, and asks for input on the details. She books up quickly, so expect to wait several months before getting in to see her. You will have to plan early, but she is worth the wait.
It took me years to decide on what I wanted, and have never been able to transfer my mind's eye to paper. Shelly took all of my rambling ideas and created something more beautiful and striking than I could have imagined myself. I agonized over artists, scouring portfolios across the Springs and Denver before choosing her. I have no regrets about choosing Shelly and will be back when I make up my mind for the next one, without a doubt.

I came here for my first tattoo and I am pleased with the overall experience and staff. I am very disappointed that the artist messed up more than 5 times and even admitted he messed up. Sadly I have to live with his mess up and the scarring he did by pushing to hard. The artiest are talented and are very professional and caring which is the only reason I am giving them more stars.

The best tattoo artists in Colorado Springs. Shelly, Don, and Mark are all artists before anything else, which means your ink here will be created, placed, and shaded perfectly. Everyone here is also super friendly and understand that each person they work with is unique-their art will exceed every expectation. I've had about 12 hours with Shelly done so far and I'll never go to someone else as long as she's still in the business. Go in to the shop and talk to them instead of calling in-you're going to be thrilled with your tattoos here.

Have been searching for a good shop to do a shoulder piece. My daughter wanted to do mother/daughter tattoos and seen the great reviews for this shop. We went in and told Mark what we wanted and he was able to fit us in same day! Mark nailed it! His attention to detail is fantastic!!! We are so happy with our pieces and can’t wait to go back for another. I have def found the place to have my shoulder piece done. Thanks Mark !!!!

I just recently moved to Colorado with my husband, and a few weeks ago decided it was time for tattoo #4. My first three tattoos I designed myself, but this one I decided to let the artist come up with something. I came to Art in Motion and they were able to get me in with Mark the next week. I emailed him a couple photos that inspired my tattoo, and when I showed up for my appointment, he had two options for me. He was super nice, incredibly easy going, and he even let me raid his wife's lollipop stash (she works there too) while he tattooed me. I am completely in love with my tattoo; he did a great job, the lines and shading look amazing, it wraps around my entire arm seamlessly and the tattoo came out EXACTLY like I pictured it would. Will definitely be coming back for tattoo #5!

Never going anywhere else!! Shelly is working on an R2D2 piece for my husband, and it is amazing. She also did our matching tattoos that ended up exactly how we imagined them. Her husband, Mark just did a Harry Potter tattoo on my leg yesterday, and I'm in love! We struck gold with these artists. Clean shop, the artists love what they do, and they're easy to talk to! We highly recommend this shop!

This was my first tattoo and Shelly did an amazing job on it. She took my artwork and recreated it flawlessly. I was warned the process may hurt, but it didn't at all and my arm feels absolutely normal the next day. Shelly and I had great conversation while I was in the chair and she was hard at work. I'm very appreciative of her for granting me the tattoo that I wanted, as it was a memorial tattoo. She took it very seriously. I would highly recommend Art in Motion and Shelly, in particular, if you are looking to get a new tattoo. She will certainly be the person I see for my next one!

Art In Motion is by far one of the best shops in Colorado Springs. It is neat, always smells clean, the staff is friendly and it's a no hassle environment. So far, I have been tattooed by Don and he has done a phenomenal job. He's not afraid to take risks but will also let you know what will and won't work as far as a tattoo goes. Their prices are fair and to be honest; you get what you pay for. Shelly has been tattooing my wife and her work is also some of the best I have ever seen. I highly recommend Art In Motion if you're looking to get quality work done.

Shelly did an amazing cover up of a key hole and key on my back that is in full color and designed by her with some guidance from pictures I liked. She did an incredible job! She was incredibly patient with me as I asked questions and made changes to get it just how I wanted it. She was also very fun to work with and talk to which is a good thing when you spend hours with someone. I always recommend Art In Motion to people and especially Shelly :)

I can't recommend them enough. Their work is great, their shop is awesome and their staff is incredible!!

It wasn't until I came to Art In Motion that I finally understood what really good tattoos look like and now I will only have Don do my work. The shop is always clean, never crowded or noisy with people lounging around. Don and Shelly are amazing artists and great people. Prices are good. Besides, if you're looking to get a cheap tattoo, what you'll end up with IS a cheap tattoo! Come here for awesome, quality work. There isn't any place other than Art In Motion that I would refer people to!!!!

I won't go anywhere else, unless Shelly leaves for some crazy crazy reason. Store hours are a little short but they are accommodating. I personally hope only serious people come in to see them, no stupid tattoos but that's just me lol, also they usually they are about a month out on scheduling.

I had actually started making plans get tattooed in So. California when I found Bobby's work online @ Art in Motion. Don's imagination, knowledge, and professionalism is immaculate. I was so pleased that I am know getting my 2nd tattoo from him, with plans for several more. Also, the shop and artists' rooms are spotless and held to the strictest medical standards. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone who was interested in body art.

Art In Motion is an incredible shop in every way! The owner, Don, is not only amazing at what he does (and loves to do), but he'a got a great sense of business! The people that work for him are held up to a high set of standards. They have to be willing to put all they've got into their work. That might be why the piercer, Jess, isn't there any more (and why someone got 'hung-up on' ~word is she abandoned them after taking a lot for granted). Don has done some great work on me, a wonderful cover-up on a close friend, another friend comes from WA for him, and half of my husbands body is covered with his talent!! I would personally highly reccomend Don to anyone looking for a unique tattoo that they will be proud of. Mike and Mick are magnificent tattoo artists as well! Check out their website!

Usually tattoo artist are cocky and rude but Mike was so nice and made the experience so much better. The work was amazing and he knew exactly what i wanted. He was also very clean. I went in wanting a tattoo from Don after checking out the web site (artinmotiontattoos). I was blown away when i saw his work and i knew who i wanted to get my tattoo from. I'm a very happy customer and i'm still amazed every time I look at my tattoo, not to mention all the compliments I get every time I go out. The environment is like being at a doctors office, customer service was excelent. I'm a customer for life and I recomend this tattoo shop to anybody that is looking to get some ink work done. This shop doesnt compare to any other shop in town. Check it out yourself.

Have been searching for a good shop to do a shoulder piece. My daughter wanted to do mother/daughter tattoos and seen the great reviews for this shop. We went in and told Mark what we wanted and he was able to fit us in same day! Mark nailed it! His attention to detail is fantastic!!! We are so happy with our pieces and can’t wait to go back for another. I have def found the place to have my shoulder piece done. Thanks Mark !!!!

I just recently moved to Colorado with my husband, and a few weeks ago decided it was time for tattoo #4. My first three tattoos I designed myself, but this one I decided to let the artist come up with something. I came to Art in Motion and they were able to get me in with Mark the next week. I emailed him a couple photos that inspired my tattoo, and when I showed up for my appointment, he had two options for me. He was super nice, incredibly easy going, and he even let me raid his wife's lollipop stash (she works there too) while he tattooed me. I am completely in love with my tattoo; he did a great job, the lines and shading look amazing, it wraps around my entire arm seamlessly and the tattoo came out EXACTLY like I pictured it would. Will definitely be coming back for tattoo #5!

Never going anywhere else!! Shelly is working on an R2D2 piece for my husband, and it is amazing. She also did our matching tattoos that ended up exactly how we imagined them. Her husband, Mark just did a Harry Potter tattoo on my leg yesterday, and I'm in love! We struck gold with these artists. Clean shop, the artists love what they do, and they're easy to talk to! This was my first tattoo and Shelly did an amazing job on it. She took my artwork and recreated it flawlessly. I was warned the process may hurt, but it didn't at all and my arm feels absolutely normal the next day. Shelly and I had great conversation while I was in the chair and she was hard at work. I'm very appreciative of her for granting me the tattoo that I wanted, as it was a memorial tattoo. She took it very seriously. I would highly recommend Art in Motion and Shelly, in particular, if you are looking to get a new tattoo. She will certainly be the person I see for my next one!

Art In Motion is by far one of the best shops in Colorado Springs. It is neat, always smells clean, the staff is friendly and it's a no hassle environment. So far, I have been tattooed by Don and he has done a phenomenal job. He's not afraid to take risks but will also let you know what will and won't work as far as a tattoo goes. Their prices are fair and to be honest; you get what you pay for. Shelly has been tattooing my wife and her work is also some of the best I have ever seen. She was incredibly patient with me as I asked questions and made changes to get it just how I wanted it. It wasn't until I came to Art In Motion that I finally understood what really good tattoos look like and now I will only have Don do my work. The shop is always clean, never crowded or noisy with people lounging around. Don and Shelly are amazing artists and great people. Prices are good. Besides, if you're looking to get a cheap tattoo, what you'll end up with IS a cheap tattoo! Come here for awesome, quality work. There isn't any place other than Art In Motion that I would refer people to!!!!

I won't go anywhere else, unless Shelly leaves for some crazy crazy reason. Store hours are a little short but they are accommodating. I personally hope only serious people come in to see them, no stupid tattoos but that's just me lol, also they usually they are about a month out on scheduling.

Don't get words or phrases here! The artwork and coloring is amazing but my quote had 4 mistakes! Bobby tattooed over them and tried to fix it, but you can still see the original mistakes. Beware

I had actually started making plans get tattooed in So. California when I found Bobby's work online @ Art in Motion. Don's imagination, knowledge, and professionalism is immaculate. I was so pleased that I am know getting my 2nd tattoo from him, with plans for several more. Art In Motion is an incredible shop in every way! The owner, Don, is not only amazing at what he does (and loves to do), but he'a got a great sense of business! The people that work for him are held up to a high set of standards. They have to be willing to put all they've got into their work. That might be why the piercer, Jess, isn't there any more (and why someone got 'hung-up on' ~word is she abandoned them after taking a lot for granted). Don has done some great work on me, a wonderful cover-up on a close friend, another friend comes from WA for him, and half of my husbands body is covered with his talent!! I would personally highly reccomend Don to anyone looking for a unique tattoo that they will be proud of. Mike and Mick are magnificent tattoo artists as well! Check out their website!

Usually tattoo artist are cocky and rude but Mike was so nice and made the experience so much better. The work was amazing and he knew exactly what i wanted. He was also very clean. I went in wanting a tattoo from Don after checking out the web site (artinmotiontattoos). I was blown away when i saw his work and i knew who i wanted to get my tattoo from. I'm a very happy customer and i'm still amazed every time I look at my tattoo, not to mention all the compliments I get every time I go out. The environment is like being at a doctors office, customer service was excelent. I'm a customer for life and I recomend this tattoo shop to anybody that is looking to get some ink work done. This shop doesnt compare to any other shop in town. Check it out yourself.
