I got a semicolon tattoo here about a year ago from Ken. I came in for a touch up a few weeks later as is normal, but afterwards there were several areas that were clearly not filled in (noticeable once the irritation/swelling subsided). I contacted the owners about my experience via email and Chaz replied; we set up an appointment where he’d look at it personally. However, when I arrived, he said someone else was scheduled at that time, although he seemed to remember our conversation, and so I saw yet another artist who finally corrected it (mostly; it’s still not perfect, but given the meaning behind the tattoo, I’m ok with that). Overall not impressed, but it certainly was a learning experience for me. I’ll be going elsewhere for future tattoos. Read Less

This shop is owned by a woman and I believe it makes a noticeable difference for the BETTER in the way the shop is kept up, and the atmosphere. I've always felt comfortable, which is something I struggle with. Most importantly, my work is beautiful. I get complimented everywhere I go and people always stop me and ask to look at my pretty ink. Can't wait to return!! Read Less

The staff here is rude and not helpful. They do not seem to want to work with you when designing a tattoo. They act as if it is an inconvenience to them when you ask for ideas or personal opinions on the designs of a tattoo. I’ve been here several times and the only staff member that I would ever recommend from this place would be Chris. I also came here another time with a friend of mine for her to get her tattoo done. TL;DR: poor customer service, kinda shady/dingy office, good work by my artist (who no longer works there). Wouldn't recommend this place based on the customer service. I got my tattoo started back in the fall. Before you get your tat, you put down a $50 deposit to book your time. I was going to get my tattoo done in two stages (so that the artist could finish shading/adding details once the skin had healed and wasn't red/irritated). After my session, the artist told me he could apply my $50 deposit to the second stage of my tattoo, when I came back in 5 weeks. I said sure, no problem and paid full price for the first part of my tattoo. 5 or 6 weeks go by and I call the shop to schedule the second part of my tattoo. Over the phone I was told that my artist had been fired and that I shouldn't have applied my original $50 deposit to my second tattoo. I politely asked for my $50 back, telling the guy on the phone that I still had my receipt/voucher showing that I'd paid $50. He said no dice, so I asked to speak to a manager. I got on the phone with the guy who I believe was the owner. He told me that it's not standard procedure to apply the first deposit over to the second session, and that I shouldn't have done that, but should have used my first deposit to pay for my first session. I told him I had no way of knowing that and that because his employee had told me to do that, good customer service would dictate refunding my money (especially because I had proof of paying the store my $50 deposit). Long and short of it is the owner told me it was my fault for not cashing out the $50 deposit and that he was not responsible for the actions of his previous employee, and that I was out $50. Even though I have proof of paying his shop $50 and not receiving any service in return, I'm SOL. Also, the shop was pretty dingy, tattoo rooms were small and not super clean. Find somewhere better to go. My tattoo artist was Jeremy. If you look through the reviews on this page, many of the 5 star reviews were for him. He no longer works here, and without all the 5* reviews for him, Aliza's rating would be significantly lower. He's up in Denver now at Celebrity if you don't mind driving. I work for Aliza and and just wanted to say that is is a great studio to work for. My customers have allowed me to do a plethora of unique and awesome tattoos since I have been here. I encourage anyone who is looking for exceptional and quality tattoo work to come in and at least visit. The owners are very supportive of their artists and expect us all to perform on a level that exceeds customer expectations. Many of us have formal training in both fine art and tattooing. The group as a whole pushes each other to always do better and never stop learning. We consistently put out quality work for a fair price. I just wanted to express my experience with Aliza and also introduce myself as one of the staff. All that said it makes me proud to be included with such an awesome staff and clientele. Man, what a disappointment. Me and my wife were visiting my brother last weekend and we all decided to go and get tattoos here. My brother went and got a tattoo by a very nice heavy set gentleman who's name I cannot remember but it was a great experience for him. The guy made conversation the entire time which I could hear from my room because of how quite my tattooer was. Kent I believe his name was hardly made conversation when tattooing me and my wife. We were there to get a cute silly tattoo done. She got shushi and I got soy sauce and chopsticks... oh and guess what? We both got infections. As I type this I'm sitting in a doctors office to have my arm looked at because puss is coming out from where he used red ink. The tattoo is mainly black but in the areas where red coloring was use it's all infected. I have tattoos that cover my chest, legs, tummy, my other arm and fingers. I HAVE NEVER ONCE HAD AN INFECTION. I know how to properly care for my tattoos. I have an infection and so does my wife, and both of us have color in them. I want my money back or I'll continue to post reviews anyplace I can. I don't care what waiver I signed, I didn't pay 310$ for two infected tattoos that are combined literally smaller than then palm of my hand. I have been tattooed laid out on a friends couch and never got an infection like this. Throw away your colors and give me my money back! Read Less

Walked in and wasn't really acknowledged. The piercer's name was Chaz, I believe. He was rude and didn't make myself or my boyfriend feel comfortable whatsoever. After getting jerked around by Pens and Needles I took to the internet scowering portfolios and reviews and bios and mission statements and looking for someone I would be comfortable and confident with marking my body permanently.  I'm gonna admit that Mickey/Minnie photo here (which was all there was at the time) almost kept me away, not so much because of perceived size difference which I barely see if I really scrutinize but because Mickey's ears look uneven and that made me nervous, but once I checked out their website I was really impressed with everything I saw.  So I sent an email off to Jenn asking about the possibility of an appointment.  She was prompt to respond and had customer service skills way above and beyond anyone else in the industry that I'd interacted with thus far.  She said when you make an appointment and know what you want they're going to match you with the artist whose skills and talents best match what you are having done, which was perfect and the way it should be done.  So once I sent over what I was looking for I was matched with Chaz, given a price quote, and asked to stop in so we could discuss the finer points of the art.  Everyone I interacted with on that visit was super friendly and welcoming and Chaz was really knowledgeable and confident and understood the concept I was going for before I had to go in depth explaining it like I had elsewhere and proved it by saying "if we do this, its gonna look best if we do that" kinds of things that were exactly what I had in my brain.  Went for my appointment yesterday and again everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable and honest and not pushing unnecessary products for commissions or extra revenue.  We reviewed the final sketch, decided on final placement, and got to work.  Since it was on my hip Chaz was thoughtful enough to put up a room divider screen for the sake of modesty, but I could still see what was going on around me which was good for distraction, as was the great mix of music on the stereo and Chaz's friendly banter knowing that I was nervous and this was my first tattoo and I am scared of needles. After the first few lines I did hit a good zone where it stopped hurting and if anything it tickled.  I got to watch two gentlemen getting tattoos from the artist who had done that Mickey/Minnie work photographed here.  It looked good, they were all happy, and I presume whatever happened that time was a fluke.  While I didn't want to watch any needle work in progress I did get to check it out a couple times while changing colors and such so if anything hadn't been going right I had ample opportunity to speak up, but all went well and I'm absolutely in love with it. The concept of the design was mine, but Chaz got a much better and more detailed cat silhouette in there than I ever pictured and did a beautiful job with the coloring, and suggested the grey accents which he says when healed properly will fade to look like shadow. One point did particularly hurt and I couldn't help a little gasp and jump that he thought was a hiccup ^_^ really considering that I'm impressed it didn't end up going triangular and he kept such good control that there's only a very small deviation and really you have to be right up on it before it's even noticeable at all.  I did somehow miss that the circle wasn't blue as I'd intended till I took my first picture, so we must've miscommunicated somewhere there. I'll probably go back and get that added at some point but am still in love with it either way and was charged less than quoted so I'm feeling very happy I finally got this done and that I found the right people to do it. And now that I know I can survive it there are sooooo many things I'll be going back for when I can save up the money to have them done. And I will update pictures when it's done healing, these were taken about an hour after getting it done. My sister and I both wanted to get tattoos, but timing only allowed for hers. That being said, we were walk ins, and they graciously accommodated us. My sister was a little indecisive about the size and location of what she wanted, but Chaz was amazing at helping her get exactly what she wanted. He was incredibly professional, and was so great about keeping up a stream of conversation while she was getting a painful ribcage tattoo done. They were extremely knowledgable about the piercings they were doing. I got my tragus done and my friend got her rook and cartilage done. He explained to us what to expect, the risks, and aftercare. It was all single-use needles and a very cleanly experience. The only downside was the price. It was FAR more expensive than other places I have been. They charge 25 for the piercing plus 14-50 dollars more for the jewelry. It ended up costing a little over 100$ for 3 piercings. An overall wonderful experience with Aliza!! Read Less

Friendly and accommodating. Joe was my artist and got a customized handwritten style tattoo. He did good work and made for nice conversation. Would probably go back if the need arose.

He dropped the jewelry twice during the piercing process. Took over 5 minutes to get the jewelry in while my boyfriend was bleeding and uncomfortable. And the placement wasn't very good either. I do not recommend coming here for a piercing. The atmosphere sucked. Read Less

He did it quickly, but with incredibly tight line work that was remarked on by other tattoo artists. Highly recommend! I'll be going back for my next one! Read Less

Read Less
