I definitely would not go back and waste my money getting a tattoo here again. I went in just a week ago for an easy heart and a letter p next to it. Its ALREADY half faded and not to mention theybarent even solid lines more like a dotted line. A friend of mine also went same day got a heart and a letter s and a small pineapple. Her pineapple is ridiculous the lines do not match up what so ever, its fading and her s, the artist must of messed up during the tattoo because its a large just scribble. I took my 8 year old daughter to get her ears pierced last week and it was such a great experience! I called ahead to make sure they took minors and Jessica was so friendly and welcoming; I knew I had called the right place. Everywhere else we called that day was SO RUDE when I asked about ear piercing a child.We walked in and even with their tattoo patron in the shop, they immediately changed the music to Disney and my daughter felt totally comfortable. Warm, clean, and comfy space, by the way. I'm not a tattoo junkie, but it's a great environment if you're looking for a place. I had my nose pierced recently (somewhere besides Clean Slate- will not say where) and the nose ring that was in was one that I could not get out to save my life. The shop puts these nose rings in so people can't get them out themselves so they are sucked into going back to have them changed. I was not happy. I went to Clean Slate to have it changed to a normal post and the piercer was amazing. She was gentle, and explained everything in detail. Her jewelry selection is huge and I walked out with 2 new nose rings! Took my 3 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced and they did a fantastic job. She cried, but only for a minute. They were not red or puffy afterwards. We went for ice cream after she was done and she never complained about her ears even once. Note - you need to make an appointment for small kiddos to make sure both owners are there to do the piercing at the same time and they don’t really do Saturday’s. Also, we needed a birth certificate or passport for her. Overall really happy I went here. My daughter loves her new earrings. I went here recently to get my 10 year old hip dermals removed. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I knew it would be painful for there was a ton of scar tissue around each piercing and one was infected. They got me right in when I called and the whole process was absolutely amazing. Everything the owner and her husband used were sterile and right out of the bag. They made we aware of everything they would be doing and the whole thing was as quick and comfortable as possible. After the procedure the owner went over in depth after care and made sure I knew exactly what to do to avoid infection and have minimal scaring. Highly recommend coming here for any piercing! Got a piercing done. Staff wasn't great , but it's just a piercing so who cares. Went back in to have the people from the same shop change it out. Staff was too u knowledgeable to even know how to remove the original jewelry, let alone but a new piece in. Was going to get a tattoo done there, but not no. I forgot the blonde babes name (the owner) that pierced my septum but she was an absolute delight to have around! She pierced my septum perfectly and I was so nervous about it and she walked me through the entire process and kept me calm and laughing. I needed to have a cover up on a bad decision I made over 10 years ago. I had finally decided to do it and went to Clean slate, based on the amazing work they had done for my Husband and daughter in the past. 1st off they are super clean and very friendly. I looked around at several places and was surprised when I compared cleanliness and personability, These guys are top notch. My artist was Derik, I walked in and explained what I wanted to do. My appointment was for the next day. I am not good at all with needles and even ordered Hush to help get me through it. Derik told his time explaining everything and drew worked my art into something beautiful and feminine that covered my bad decision before. We discussed it and even made last minute changes. I squirmed and even yelped because like I said I am not good at this. He took his time and kept checking on me. I knew he was being very patient with me and the end result was AMAZING! I am so happy to wear this the rest of my life. I can no longer see that ugly mistake and now I get to see something beautiful all the time. I am visiting from NJ and had a piercing that was giving me trouble. They saw me right away and were able to remove the piercing and the resulting keloids with almost no pain. My teenage daughter wanted to get her helix pieced and after checking around- this place had the best reviews so that's where I took her.  Well- I totally understand why the reviews were so great and I was so impressed with the service and care  I felt the need to take some time and share with others our awesome experience.This was my daughter's first cartilage piercing.   Jessica took a lot of time explaining to us how it would be done, what it would feel like, the required care afterwards, etc.  She was friendly and professional throughout the entire experience and was maticulous in her selection of jewelry she recommended. I was so impressed with the entire experience that - rather than taking my youngest daughter to get her lobes pieced at some stripmall store with crappy, cheap jewlery- where the person piecing her likely had 30 mins of training on how to use a piercing gun - I took her to Jesica. And I am glad we did because we once again experienced amazing care and professionalism.Fair warning.... this is a piercing and tattoo store so if you are concerned with your teen in an environment where the people are "colorful" and the music is questionable at times- stick to the stripmall... I would give 0 stars if I could. I came in to merely get my nose stud switched to a hoop and left w/ an infection. Very low quality jewelry, very hostile service & not gentle whatsoever. The man who changed my piercing brought me to tears and barely consulted me before he put the jewelry in my nose WITHOUT CLEANING IT & AFTER TOUCHING IT WITH HIS HANDS. It was horrible jewelry & the process of changing it brought tears to my eyes. I knew it was bad from the moment I left. We sauntered in on a Wednesday morning so I could get a double nose piercing. I spoke with the co-owner Van who was working on a design for a client (who had an actual appointment) and he was very apologetic that Jesica wasn't there yet. He called her and informed me she was only a few minutes away. Not a problem! The place is incredibly clean and comfortable and we had fun looking at the jewelry while we waited for Jesica. She came in shortly thereafter and was super friendly and professional. She spent a good amount of time discussing my expectations surrounding the piercing and figured out exactly where they should go. Then BOOM, she pierced me one right after the other. Easy peasy. I HIGHLY recommend Clean Slate! This place is amazing and the artists are all extremely friendly and helpful. I've had a few piercings done by Jesica and 3 tattoos by David. Jesica is so knowledgeable and instantly puts you at ease and really takes the time to help pick the perfect jewelry and placement. She was so nice and caring. David is an excellent tattoo artist. He was very patient when I was getting piercings so that my friend and I could get tattooed together. My friend was extremely nervous (it was her first tattoo and it was a painful location) but David totally put her at ease and wasn't judgmental. I received a tattoo in white ink. Only half the tattoo design was done where the ink showed. The other half was clearly red where they went over the design but left no ink. You couldn't see what the picture was when it healed. As the tattoo artist put the bandage on he made sure to tell me that they guarantee their work. I am more than disappointed with their services. I don't even know where to start! My daughter had 3 concussions over a 2 year span and has been suffering from headaches ever since the first one in 2012. Having to stay in her room, away from loud noises, and out of the sunlight.  After several neurologist appointments and many different treatments nothing helped at all. After much research we found Jessica!!! I am so taken back by this amazing woman! She has kind, caring, and has a loving bed side manner.  She pierced my daughter daith and gave us all of the education that we needed to make an informed decision about getting the piercing. My daughter went a month with out one single headache!!! We had to get another piercing but we were fully informed that it might take a few daith piercings to be headache free. I am forever grateful to Jessica. She has given my daughter her teenage years back!!!! On Thanksgiving my daughter stated she was most Thankful for was Jessica and the daith piercing! not a fan, came in for a walk in appointment and they told me the wrong times of when they would be ready 3 different times. i should have taken that as a red flag for what was to come. my tattoo artist was complaining the whole time about how complicated my tattoo design was, although i have gotten the same thing on my opposite arm by a different tattoo artist who never said a thing about it. he basically made me change the size of it for his own benefit so it doesnt even match the other one. every 15 minutes into the tattoo he would take a smoke break. the lines came out extremely thick, not even and just bad. the tattoo is raised, almost all the ink has fallen out, and im honestly sad i even thought this would be a good recommendation for a tattoo from a friend Read Less

I went it with what I wanted and he drew what I wanted and custom drew her name. He didn't rush through the process and created a beautiful piece that I was excited to get. Revised Review....I went from 5 stars to 1Initially I thought Jessica was great, but I have since changed my tune, when she wouldn't change my daughter's ear Cartilage piercing.We waited weeks to catch Jessica in to get her earring changed for the first time and settled for Tattoo guys doing it.  Her ear hurt for weeks; she later went back to just have it taken out because it was so sore and volleyball was coming up.Jessica was there and convinced her to keep it in, but didn't have any of the clear spacers she needed to put in for sports.  My daughter called for several weeks to see if Jessica and earrings were in, but neither were.Finally, a month had passed and my daughter went in, alone, to see Jessica.  Even though she wasn't busy, she wouldn't change her earring saying 'I'm sure you can do it yourself.'NOT!Several of us tried and failed.  My poor daughter ended up in tears, ready to let her hole close up again.  Finally my husband got out special tools to secure the earring, because our fingers were too big.Never going back!  I wonder if Jessica was afraid she wasn't going to get a tip from a 17-year-old without her mother?  Whatever her reasoning...Not good Customer Service!!
