came in TWICE today.  once for a downstem and bowl for 22 bucks and next for a complete small simple bong. When i got to my hotel room across the street the bong was shattered in 5 pieces so i went right back to show them. The manager then proceeded to ask if i thought it was "magic" that had broken the piece and mock me implying that i wanted a free piece. I never asked for a discount or a replacement just showed them what happened so i was taken aback to say the least.  i have a feeling they deal with easily shattered pieces ALL the time.  He also said I must be used to pyrex not glass (even though the supposed "glass" piece i purchased was shattered so i'm not sure what his purpose was other than to make fun.  Why does your shop even sell pyrex bro?  You are supposed to be high quality.  He offered me half off but even as i looked for a new piece to buy he kept asking if 'magic' broke the previous one and implying i want free stuff.  When i wanted to take the broken piece i already paid for and brought back i was told i couldn't have it back. USUALLY- this location is fine. I've been here 4 or 5 times. However, I don't know who this new blonde headed mouth-breather with an east coast attitude is working here, but his condescending aggressive behavior was absolutely baffling. I leaned forward to look at a price tag that was on the side of a rig rather than the front and he YELLS at me from no more than a few feet away not to go behind the counter. My feet never left the spot they were in the entire time I was in the area. I leaned forward, that's it. So. Um, okay dude. My bad. So then as I'm looking at pieces and asking about a few- everything needed to be upsold, apparently. Telling me how I shouldn't buy this but actually this $30 more expensive one, when all I needed was a small, cheap travel rig that could break and not be heartbreaking. Meanwhile, the dude is constantly snorting and gulping down his most recent (assumed) coke hit while clearly tweaking out with a freshly picked bleeding spot on his neck that looked a bit like an old injection site. I'm all for people enjoying their drugs of choice, but if it's going to make you that aggro, don't do it before work. I got fed up and anxious dealing with him and walked out empty handed myself. Sold me the wrong size (After I asked for the correct size) earring and would not exchange it - 2 minutes later. Kinda funny when you consider the size I asked for was apparently half the price of the one they sold me... Told me "it's a health code violation." Which I take them at their word, but other jewlery retailers do except returns/exchanges, so I'm a little confused by this. I'm not sure what to think. It's a cool store and when I first went in & dealt with the staff they were very nice. I would give zero if i can do that. They have the worst customer service ever. They post "no refunds card" and think every one have read that . They don't tell you that before the purchase, just in case you did not know. After they sold some $90 worth of merchandise to my friend who gift it to me . I went next day to return it un-used( because i don't smoke) and the worker behind the counter (Joe ) refused to refund the money, in a very rude way. Did not even look the receipt or the merchandise still in their original packaging. No higher manager on site (Zach  Jefferson ), refused to direct me to a higher up person to talk to. This place is great tattoo's and all. One of the friendliest people I've been too. Everything from low priced inventory to the highest end looks great and is displayed very well. My girlfriend got a VERY WELL DONE tattoo here and loves it. Very clean shop, friendly staff. Came here to get my anti-tragus and rook pierced by Jon/John (not sure which way it's spelled hehe). He was awesome, professional, and did a good job but struggled a bit since I have tiny ears lol. But what kind of surprised me was that I walked in when he was in the middle of tattooing someone and he stopped to pierce me before he finished the tattoo. I'm not sure if it was because it was a big piece and he didn't want me to wait till he finished or if that's how he usually does it. I appreciate the fact that he pierced me right away. Read Less

Not particularly happy with my experience. Went in and got a belly button piercing that ended up being like half an inch too high and not centered. Went in to show them, and they were very insistent that it was done exactly right. Went to another well known, highly-rated tattoo/piercing shop and showed them, and they immediately noticed that it was way too high up (not resting anywhere near my belly button like it's supposed to), and was also crooked. Now I'm going to be out $65 total. $25 for the original piercing at Freaky's, and another $40 to go get it re-pierced correctly. Save yourself the trouble and just go somewhere more reputable. Unfortunately this was my first piercing experience, and I wasn't aware of the reputation Freaky's had for shoddy work until after the fact. Read Less

Horribe! I have had my monroe pierced for 3 years. I got a new job and had to take it out the first day (even tho I found out the 2nd day it was okay to have in) and I couldnt put the jewelery back in myself. So the next day I went to freakys to get it put back in and the piercer said it was closed and I had to get it re-pierced for $40. (I had just had an earrings stud in it the car ride over but took it out before I walked in). So I went to bound by design and they had NO PROBLEM threading it in and they did it for free. (Fyi-the gauge for an regular earring stud is much smaller than the gauge of a monroe piece of jewelery, thats why I couldnt put it in myself. If any of my professional pieces of body jewelery fall out I have to get them professionally threaded in.). I even went right back to freakys after to prove that it wasnt really closed and that they were trying to scam me. NO REBUTTAL. They mustve thought I was an idiot and was just going to fork my $ over. SHAME ON YOU! I will never go back to freakys again and always trash them if anyone ever brings that business up in a conversation!!! Read Less

This is not a typical store. I find myself to be a fair judge of character, customer service, and quality of products along with, of course, pricing.First I'm going to address those who work there and what kind of shop it is. Freaky's is a head shop/gift shop whatever you want to call it but they sell all sorts of water pipes and regular pipes all made from very good glass very professional huge selection.Often times they have deals on some of the best things you can buy for example I got a hotbox vaporizer would usually $200 and they had a sale going on half off for any type you wanted hotbox vaporizer; not because people are buying them less but because the store likes to provide excellent and constant service to their customers which will get them to come back and enjoy what they buy. This is why they offered one of the most highly sold vaporizers on the market half off because when you're a customer ,especially a loyal one, whom attends often; they love To give back to such clients and that includes ones who rarely ever go, because they want to demonstrate that they are obviously the best place to shop for these kinds of things and it's  to encourage you to come back and see what else might be on sale or see what else you will want to buy. **Oh!!!! and did I mention CU but they're both cards get a discount on any purchaseThis is why they all around enjoy giving back to not only loyal customers constant customers but even the ones you show up just for the first time. The management is excellent their they handle things excellently with a calm cool and collected manner they are not overtly friendly nor do they pressure you in anyway they provide you the information smiles they're genuine and they laugh a lot it's almost like a fun place to attend while you're buying not to mention the staff is excellent at what they do one of the girls that works there is fantastic when it comes to providing requests for example I needed a protector for for my electronic cigarette Atomizer, The first gentleman to do so was excellent at accommodating me he used the plastic clear hookah things and customized it for me to fit around my atomizer and protect the glass. These rubber clear things are only $.50 but he put in work just as the girl did for my pen that helps with oils to take the time and fitted perfectly cut it and make it fit around your type of Atomizer or glass I've never had a broken one again and never had to spend money  on a replacement so now I've never had to replace my atomizer or any other glass type pens.This represents perfectly the length that they go to in order to satisfy their customers. A 50 Cent clear rubber piece and they take the time to customize it for me for free to fit my particular e-cigarette or pen that's true true craft and care for customer satisfaction.Oh and don't forget the tattoo artist that man has years of experience knows his stuff and does excellent excellent work, in fact, I wouldn't get a tattoo anywhere else if I were you.Freaky's is hands-down the best head shop gift shop and all-around place to be on the hill Period! I'm a novice to the world of marijuana and they are knowledgeable about their products, and offer great assistance whenever I go in. Definitely give them a visit. Let me start off by saying that the store itself deserves 5 stars including the gentleman Chris who helped me purchase glass while there for a friends piercing.  Awesome service from the guys on the headshop side.  The reason for 2 stars is due to the unprofessional behavior of the piercer named Steve.  I was informed that they are contracted out by freakys and are independent.  With that being said obviously Steve has a chip on his shoulder. The way he speaks to customers is lacking any respect at all.  We came In for two piercing, chose jewelry and walked to the chair.   No we're is there a Sign that informs you not to take or use your cell while in the shop.  If I would have known this I would never had brought it out to begin with.  My friend and I wanted to snap a pic of before and after her nose pierce.  Just her and I.  Not Steve not the shop and not while the piercing is occurring.   I was abruptly yelled at by Steve and he threatens to stop the piercing and make us leave??  What, why?  He never asked me or informed me of this "no camera policy" at any time prior to Entering the business or room.  I felt horrible and immediately put My camera away.   He kept going on about how it's against the law.  I asked why there wasn't a sign clearly posted to avoid this confusion.  He then told us to leave and he was stoping the piercing once again. Keep In mind no picture was taken and camera was put away once stayed.  Feeling out of place I walked over to the head shop and left my friend alone to get her piercing. (Was an experience that we wanted to share together)  Steve of course did the piercing.  I wanted to introduce myself to the manager and see why this person felt he could act this way to paying patrons.   I Remeet Chris and two other kind gentleman who apologized for what had happened and agreed that if they were to implement a policy such as "no cameras" that it should be clearly stated to avoid situations like this and having to have Steve speak so rudely to paying patrons.  It's not what your saying Steve, it's HOW you said it!The piercing was a first impression to see if we would come back for body ink.  If Steve is at the store I will never return for any reason (no Tuesday and Sunday shopping for us).  Chris, well job on handling the situation and because of you I will return and give the store another try.  The glass you recommended was perfect for my needs!Possibly time for some retraining on the level of service freakys is known for.  I was also looking for his lic # posted anywhere, but was unsuccessful in finding any info on who Steve actually was.  Thanks again Chris for being stellar! Do not shop there! They sold me a $36.90 propane torch that lasted 2 days. I couldn't find the box for it so I didn't bother bringing it back. The item was bought on 11/09/14. I found the box today and tried to bring it back. The salesperson behind the counter kept saying since it was a over a month he wouldn't take it back. After several minutes of arguing with him, I was finally able to convince him that it was only 25  days. For him that was a big "ah ha" moment. Cause that's when he was so proud to finally point out that in my receipt that it states all sales are final. After seeing that I was more than willing to admit defeat. That's when the overly baked dread lock chic felt it would be a good opportunity to wish me a very sarcastic "Merry Christmas" as I was walking out the door. My husband and me went in here in the middle of the day on a week day for a specific item. We were greeted by four or five very friendly employees who were tripping over themselves to help us. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the person who helped us specifically, but she was super helpful. This place does have a lot of pot smoking stuff, but they DO also have clothes, snacks, and body jewelry. I have been going to Sol Tribe with mixed feels the last few times I got pierced but after seeing how clean and nice this place is on the inside I think I may get my next piercing here. Read Less

I have had many nose piercings in my day and this place has always done a fantastic job of not only piercing but also is very gentle when it comes to changing out jewelry as well.I misplaced the card of the gentleman who last helped me but he was tattooed all over, including his face, and had the most gentle hands when it came to changing out my nose ring.
