The studio doesn't look like a promising location from the outside, but inside it is comfortable, welcoming and CLEAN. My fiancée got a tattoo from them last year which was a beautiful black with amazing detail, and I just got my first from Raleigh, who is a genuinely fun guy to have jabbing at your skin for a couple of hours. My girlfriend and I called last minute to ask about a walk in appointment and were still invited to come in 30 minutes before they closed! We walked in to such an awesome environment. Mostly egotistical, money obsessed snobs that don't give a shit about what I have to say or what *I* want on *MY* body for the rest of my life. No fun. All this is to say...My experience at As You Like It Tattoo was the complete opposite. I worked specifically with Jules and she is incredibly caring and passionate about her work. Jules is great to work with. I went to see her for a consultation and another of my tiny tattoos. She takes her time in discussing ideas and understands deciding on what/where/how much is a process. For me, she worked on a larger design that helped me decide I wanted the tiny one as a stand-alone, and we looked at some changes for another piece.She's knowledgeable, smart, talented and loves her work. I just finished a six-hour session last night, and I would have to say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. Jules is so amazingly insightful, and it was obvious that she cared about her customers and her work. She ensured that I was comfortable throughout the entire session, played some excellent music (and offered to change it if I wasn't satisfied), and gave me some awesome life advice!
