This place did not have the best customer service. I came in with my 17 year old daughter to get her a second nose piercing, and one of the guys said " he didn't feel like doing it" because basically he was the only one there, which was a pretty lame excuse because there were other employees present and the place wasn't even busy to where he couldn't serves us. Also, he then proceeded to say that my daughter couldn't get it done because she wasn't 18. This was completely false because she is capable of getting it done, and the only things she needed was a parent/legal guardian's consent, and for the parent to be present with her, a birth certificate, and an ID, which we had. But, he didn't allow her to get it done. However, we went down the street to another tattoo place called Electric Crayon Tattoo Co, and she got it done there. They had excellent customer service and were very welcoming. They even had a good promotion, which was get two piercing for 50$. My daughter ended up getting her nose pierced, and she loves it. Also, I even ended up getting my ears pierced. I most definitely would recommend Electric Crayon Tattoo Co. over The Tattoo shop. Read Less

This is the ONLY place I have been going to for my tattoos because the prices are beyond reasonable. The staff is also very friendly! I usually can walk right in and get seen almost immediately. Everyone takes great pride in their work and they always go above and beyond the original idea to really make your tattoo unique and special to you. As someone who has been professionally pierced well over a dozen times, my time at The Tattoo Shop was one of the best and close to the worst experience I've had getting pierced. In terms of pain and the actually piercing itself it's been the best one I've gotten. Virtually painless only a little tenderness. However, the experience there is one that I could do without...While waiting I saw a few of what look to be staff up front and one of them take a swig of crown royal. That person ends up being the person to help me. The piercer didn't talk to me about the piercing itself, the process, or any care for it. He got me in and out of the room in less than 10 minutes. He had finished piercing removed the gloves and some plastic wrap and left the room. I was left in the room with my party to finish cleaning the piercing, and to remove the NEEDLE USED TO PIERCE ME, from my chest where it was left after the jewelry was inserted. I'm happy with the piercing and the painless part of it. But the experience is enough to make me seek out another piercer with more professionalism and cleanliness. Read Less

Even though I came here for my first tattoo and have no experience in other places, this place was awesome. I walked right in and Ashley at the front desk is super friendly and welcoming. It's kind of a family vibe in there. Didn't even have to wait long at all to get seen. The whole process was quick. Dwayne did my tattoo and he just drew the prettiest rose on my foot in like 30 seconds and got right to work. Which was great cause foot tattoos are the worst! We were done in what felt like half an hour, too. Compared to other shops that my mom was been too, this place was very cheap and the work didn't reflect that at all, everyone was very impressed with my rose and thought I paid a lot of money for It, and I didn't! I love this place! It is always a good time and I enjoy being in the shop. All the artists are awesome and make you feel comfortable. Robb has tattooed me a few times and he is amazing. He talks to you, makes sure everything is to your liking, and he is quick with always great quality work. My whole body will probably end up tatted here. Lol.Read Less

I was really disappointed with the fact that I had come in almost a month ago to talk to a guy named Rob (was referred to me by a friend who was tatted by him) about getting a tattoo. Left him a rough design and discussed with him my vision and the purpose behind the tattoo. He told me give him a couple days and he'd have something drawn up. It was almost a week and heard nothing from him, so decided to stop and see what's up. He said he didn't start drawing anything up and to give him until the weekend and he'd send me a pick of what he drew up. Still nothing. Now I understand tattoo artists are busy, but the lack of an attempt of communication on his part was frustrating and I wasn't going to keep playing cat and mouse over him just drawing something up nonetheless set up a time to get tatted by him. As I said, really disappointing as I've heard great things about not only Rob, but the place in whole. Had to take my services elsewhere. Read Less

Dwayne did an amazing cover up for me yesterday! I'm super impressed with the quality of work. I can not even find a mark from the previous tattoo! It is not just the illusion to draw attention away. It is gone. I can not wait to get another tattoo and let him create and show off! All of the artist and front desk girl were friendly, I chatted with them all between clients. I had a great experience here. My mom and a friend both had tattoos done here. I went in for my first tattoo. I had an idea of what I wanted but found out it would be much larger than I was expecting. Josh drew up a new design for me and I loved how it turned out.Josh let me keep adjusting things until it was exactly how I wanted it. When he put the stencil on, he moved it until the placement was right. He made me feel very comfortable, especially for my first tattoo. He continually asked if I was okay. We had an apt on my bday we had made days in advance and instead of calling us ahead of time we show up and our artist can't keep the apt. It made me feel my time wasn't worth anything to them.  Very poor way to run a business. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Ended up going to ink down the street, they got us in right away and did a fantastic job on both my husband and I. They clearly wanted our $500. Read Less

This place had a good vibe when I first went but it got worse with each visit with everyone seemingly unhappy working there and it felt kind of depressing. My artist Josh was a great guy on the one side but as soon as his friend turned up to hangout in tattoo room, which was every time I was there, Josh changed his attitude and started talking about how much he hates this particular client. Which given the subtle hints and what he did to my tattoo (see below) it was probably directed at me, but even if it wasn't this is not a good experience, that I was paying for. But the final straw was what he completed the tattoo with. It is either the shape of a smoking pipe or a pair of balls, either way it was terrible. Needless to say I couldn't trust him as an artist so I left with it as is. Lucky this was easily fixed by an actual professional tattooist who understands how return business and referrals work. Some advice: if you don't like the client then a) tell them you're to busy to work on them. b) tell them you like to work in silence. c) get over it, we all work for people we don't like. I just had 2 tattoos done here, and 1 three years ago. I love all three of them. The guys that work there are great, not rude or pretentious. I had a complex tattoo done by Darious and he put lots of detail into it, it came out fantastically and he's really down to earth and a really nice guy. He made me feel really comfortable with him, if I get another tattoo in the future I'd definitely go back to him. If you're looking to get a tattoo in Aurora, go to the tattoo shop and see him! BEWARE OF JOSH.I went to this shop for my FIRST tattoo. The place was clean, uncluttered, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful and played with my design until it looked EXACTLY how I wanted. I was so confident and excited. My tattoo was very simple, but involved some straight lines with evenly spaced dots. I impressed, repeatedly, upon the artist how important it was that the lines/dots be very precise. Fast forward, and I looked in the mirror and noticed my lines were thick and not well defined, the dots were all different sized and unevenly spaced. When I didn't LOVE my tattoo immediately, the artist, Josh, turned into a total punk. He said [direct quote], "fine, if you don't like it, don't pay for it. 90 bucks ain't shit to me." My vague "concern" morphed into total panic (remember, first tattoo!). This tattoo, which was glaringly half-a$$ed, was permanently on my body and Josh didn't seem to give a crap. Finally, while I was waiting for my friend to have her tattoo finished, another artist pulled me aside and reassured me. He told me, "Don't worry, give it a couple weeks to heal. It can be touched up. You'd be surprised what can be fixed, etc..." I still wasn't happy, but I was a lot calmer and extremely grateful to Darius, who was professional and mature enough to recognize the gravity of the situation. If you go here, watch out for Josh.
