Decided to try a new artist recently, and Gil definitely lives up to his reviews. Gil is very professional. He takes measurements, draws out a sketch or two, gives you a ballpark of how much it will cost; he sets up an appointment a few weeks out (depending on how booked up he is), and then he'll follow up within a few days before the appointment, with a few different options/drawings to choose from, via text/pic message. He's very clean and efficient, with an emphasis on hygiene. The result was the best Polynesian tribal  work I've ever had done. Thanks Gil and Havana Street Tattoo, for the exemplary work and comfortable experience. I definitely want to find the time to set up another appointment with Gil in the near future.  Definitely a 5-star service and shop, and I will only go to Gil and Havana Street for any & all tattoos from now on. Had mine done by Warren. It was a Nordic bear paw with my wife and kids initials in the toe prints. He had to draw the initials in free hand and them came out amazing. Got my last two tattoos done by Maria (when she worked at inksylum) she now works here. I have 10 tats and have never had a single issue until she did them. My last two tats were in memory of my daughter. One was a ribbon and the other was a copy of one of her hello kitty drawings. I got them done a year apart. When I got the second one (hello kitty) she touched up the ribbon she did the previous year, without an additional charge. It's now been 7 months since she did the last one. I just reached out to her to set up an appointment and she tells me that "free touch ups are only good for 6m" well.... then why did she touch up the other one a year later without an issue? Now there's a "set up fee" which is the shop minimum. This is horrible customer service on top of bad service. Don't waste your time, money or skin! Read Less

I went in for the simplest tattoo of a ; and it isn't even and he over worked the color . I have other tattoos and never had an issue with healing till this one . I spent $80 plus my tip. there is no way that this tattoo is not going to have to 100% be redone and of course I won't go back there for the redo . My kids tattoo at the same time isn't that much better . At least hers won't need a redo like mine is all I can say . I understand why they had walk in availability. Read Less

The shop was clean but Maria was not great. My sons tattoo turned out nice but she clearly didn't look at the sketches we sent at her request. I had also made an appointment and spoke to Maria ahead of time about what I wanted and she agreed to have some things ready for us to look at. When it was time to start my tattoo she decided she didn't have enough time and didn't know how to do what we had talked​ about. I ended up going elsewhere and got exactly what wanted. I was looking for a place to get my first tattoo and had a hard time finding an artist to sit with me and talk about my idea. Then enter Havana Street Tattoo, I was met by Warren who took time to go over my design and craft a rough sketch....being open he told me he was in his apprenticeship but him being excited about what I wanted, got me excited so I scheduled my appointment, and SO glad I did because he crushed it!!! Small tattoo shop hidden on Havana, in a strip mall. Super relaxed vibe. This is my first tattoo experience in Colorado since moving here from Cali, but was immediately greeted by the apprentice Warren. He finished up and came and spoke to me regarding my idea. Although, my tattoo idea was small and probably not going to bring in a ton of revenue, he happily helped me generate an idea and stated he would call me to set my appointment. Which he did do. I was once again met with a smile when I showed for my appointment and he was ready to go when I got there. I was only there for about 15 minutes, but it was relatively painless and clean. Havana street tattoo is the only place to get a tattoo! My artist is Gil and he is great at what he does. The time and effort he spends on his pieces is unmatched. I'm about to finish my NY city skyline half sleeve and l get compliments on it literally everyday! The other artists in the shop are helpful, friendly, and funny. Just got my first tattoo here. As a first timer I was obviously pretty nervous but the staff at Havana Street Tattoo were more than welcoming and that made me less tense. My tattoo artist was German (no that's not his race but his name), was super friendly and sanitary he made sure that I saw how he sterilized everything etc. I really felt like a valued customer. Worst experience I have ever had getting a tattoo. Went in to drop off our pictures to Larry Monday 9/24 so he could draw up a tatto for my husband as we wanted it finished for his birthday 9\29. Everything at first went okay Larry said he wools have it done no problem n even put his ideas into (as I feel a good tatto artist.doors) and he would text my husband a  picture. We even put down a 60 deposit to put extra care and to insure our deadline.We never did hear or see a picture come the middle of the week. We decided to call Wednesday to check the status he said o its getting there I'll text u the picture later today. Ge also asked for our phone number again as he couldn't find the business card we left him with our info. We again never did hear from Larry n called Friday night @ 8pm only to be informed he was struggling on the drawing and size he also stated we were looking at Monday 10\01 now. My husband was really upset, so I got on the phone with another tattoo shop with wonderful reviews. I spoke with Jim who said that they would be able to get it done no problems n after explaining the tatto even recommended the owner Dirk doing it because of his portrait work (instead of just saying he would do it for the money). We immediately drove to Havana Street Tattoos to pick up oir deposit and pictures. We get there n Larry tells us let me get your stuff from Gil he was the one drawing it for me ( WTF) and hands us a photo with the design blown up n my head posted on and was going to be directly drawn from that copy. He (Larry) said the picture took him 5 days n he hadn't even started Gil on the drawing. I'm still in shock by the e situation. My husband didn't end up getting the tattoo on his big day, but we did find an amazing artist thanks to Larry's screw up and be happy with the exceptional talent that went into it by a true artist...Dirk @ epiphany tatto.
