If I could give 0 stars, I would. Artistic Elements is a place filled with drugged out alcoholics. They are always coked out and high from other things and of course drunk. Roman is the root of the problems. This man sexually harassed me and couldn't focus for longer than 3 minutes on my tattoo. He was biting my arm and trying to kiss me during my session. Not only that but he would not let me leave unless I signed a waiver. He begged me not to talk down about his shop because he knows how bad he messed up on my tattoo. Obviously getting a needle to my neck I am forced not to move, but it is a living nightmare having a married(20 years older) pervert sexually harass you while getting your FIRST tattoo ever. All 3 designers refused to do the tattoo that I wanted and free handed instead. As you can see this is nothing like what I wanted. He even blacked out during my tattoo and Mike couldn't wake him up. Thank you mike for trying, but you need to let Roman know what he is doing is not okay. All of them messed up my tattoo and he tried to get me to print out another design(after i printed and worked with the new guy james for 6 hours) and in the mean time he slapped my ass. I used self defense and left and now he wants to put the blame on me. Roman you are not okay and what you are doing is not okay and I will have my justice served. I had to come home and give a review right away!! I went in for the conch piercing and (by far!) the best experience with a piercing. CHOLO is a true artist, welcoming, and knowledgeable person. We are both in our 50's, have only had our ears pierced once (long ago), and have never been in a tattoo shop, so we didn't know what to expect. Me and my daughter both had our first experience getting tattoos to honor the first year of my husband and her fathers passing..we were immediately greeted by our artist Zac Ryan..My first impression was of how much I loved the ambience and decor.. loved it..then I noticed how clean it was there..Zac was very prepared and put me and my daughter at ease right away ..and let us know step by step what the process would be...he was friendly and so was every one else there..the pr...ocess was easy and I had no pain..we were both so pleased with our tattoos..especially since it was such a special day for us both..we will both be getting another tattoo in honor of him soon..and I will be coming back for some additional work for me..I have already referred two people since Wednesday and will continue to..I have never considered a tattoo before this and Zac made it a pleasant one..will definitely be back thank you Zac.. ****UPDATE**** After having 3-7 migraines per week for YEARS, nerve blockers, Botox, a daily pill, and a pill for when a migraine hits, plus many trips to urgent care, I can say that I haven't had a REAL migraine in an entire week now thanks to my daith piercings by Cholo. I have had small headaches or what feels like is going to turn in to a migraine but they never actually manifest. The first 2 nights I did feel like I had migraines while I was sleeping but woke up headache free. That never happens. I'll wake up with my migraine on 10 if it starts while I'm asleep. Plus I sleep on the side of my head so it might have just been the pressure on the piercings. Anyway, this week of no migraines is more than worth the price and pain of the piercings. Even if it stops working, it was worth it. LOVE IT!!!********This place was really cool and mellow. I was surprised to see so many artists doing their thing. I went to Cholo to get my daiths pierced to hopefully prevent migraines. Since I was already there, I asked if there was an available artist to do a small tattoo. Machete was available and he gave me exactly what I wanted. They charge by the hour and need a deposit in order to make an appointment. I'm spontaneous so I don't like that part BUT that's what happens with good shops who have a lot of clientele. You have to be patient if you want good work. One of the "front desk" girls was really nice on the phone leading up to me showing up. She would call me back and update me about when Cholo would be in. I honestly wasn't feeling the other girl on the phone or in person. That's not enough to deter me though. I truly have no serious complaints and I can say the owner was cool as hell and so was Cholo and some of the other guys. I'd refer this place to anyone and already have. I have 20+ tattoos and have gotten over 30 piercings and this was, by far, the nicest looking shop, the most cool people, the busiest, and the best vibe that I've ever experienced. Cholo makes the piercing experience a surprisingly technical process. He is professionalism personified. All together Roman has assembled some of the best artists in the business. Amazing work. Amazing customer service. You get what you pay for. It can be expensive but it's some of the best work in the country. You're paying for quality. What can I say? Artistic Element is seriously one of the best shops in California. Not only is the decor fucking amazing, but the caliper of artists Roman has in his shop is crazy. Personally I've had both of my legs done by Poch. I've spent many many hours in the shop. Poch is a color realism specialist and master at his craft. Highly recommended. This shop is not for cheap people looking to get "blasted". This shop and its artists have spent years doing what they do. Mastering their craft. So don't pop in thinking Oh I can get an amazing tattoo for $100. No. If you want high quality you pay for it. I've met and follow mostly all artist from the shop. I can tell you that the atmosphere is super chill. No pressure. Nothing but solid professionals. I recommend Poch, Roman, Sam, Wes, Richie, Jeff, shit all of them kill it really.
