Hats off to my new friend Uriel. He is absolutely the best artist and person there is. I've been wanting to get a sleeve for years and his style was just what I was looking for. Personal and professional - he always fit me in somewhere in the schedule even though I'd be there for roughly 8 hours (3 separate sessions). We would take breaks when we're hungry and he was never upset to stay after shop hours to finish what we had set out to finish for the day. Uriel - you are truly an amazing one of a kind artist and I'm so lucky to have met you in my short time in Ventura. I'll have this tattoo to remind me of you through all my travels. Anyone in the area or visiting the area looking for a tattoo, look no further.  Looking for a custom design, check.  Looking for traditional, check.  Not sure what you want but you have a vague notion, you gotta come here.  The skill set is deep and vast with this shop.  They are all artists whose tools of the trade happen to be electric needles and ink, instead of paint brush and water colors.Know how when you walk into some shops you feel like an outsider or a dirty stray they tolerate?  You won't find that here - the staff here are super friendly and welcoming.I came in as a walk-in yesterday, chatted with Joe and left with an appointment.  I had four other tattoo places tell me straight out nope and no way - Joe proved them wrong.  He is one talented and adventurous mofo - he's my new bestie!I found the min rate of $80 to be pretty standard and overall price of my tattoo a price agreeable.  But, hey, who can put a price on an exquisite one of a kind tattoo based on a drawing by my niece??As an added bonus, there is also Ink House swag you can purchase.  If after your tattoo you are still on that tattoo high, stick around and get a piercing or two or....Oooo, and the bathroom is pretty damn clean and hygienic.  Sometimes in a work environment with mostly men, the bathroom can be questionable. Not gonna lie my first tattoo at 18 I chickened out and when was left with a line in my back. Now in my 30s I gave it another go after of first dog passed away, I figured having birthed a child unmedicated should be a good enough pain tolerance but it's totally different type of pain. Mike Durst (see his work on his Instagram @mikedurst_tattoos) he was really easygoing and fun to work with, tried his best to keep me calm and relax my nerves. Overall if I can grow some bigger kahunas maybe I'll be back for more and it'll definitely be at this place! To add to there nervousness, I felt much better watching another guy literally turn green but the staff was amazing and knew that their client hadn't eaten and his blood sugar was low and ran out and got him something to eat real quick from a neighboring convenience store, I don't know about you but that tells me they care about their clients! Tyler Whitlock is truly the best tattoo artist I know and over the many years I have known him he has also become a true friend of mine.4 years ago I started getting tattooed by Tyler from my right sleeve then back piece, chest and finally left arm. Tyler truly always 100% of the time had wonderful service and great respect for me. Tyler quality of work is truly stunning and amazing. Uriel is awesome! I saw my friend get a tattoo from him and immediately knew he was my tattoo artist. He did an amazing job capturing exactly what I wanted and kept it in the budget I asked for and what he quoted me even though he worked on my tattoo for longer than expected. He asked for pictures and was responsive in helping me make my decision. He was helpful when we took a different direction than we started and he loved working on my tattoo which made me feel really good about it since it was my first.
