Oh my gosh, let me tell you about this place here found it on Yelp and read some of the reviews. Me and my sister went here for a dharma piercing. And let me tell you about Andrew the piercer. He was so cool. So knowledgeable about their piercing, and then not only that, he didn't just let me and my sister get the piercing for the money he educated me and my sister. And then asked if we still wanted it or not. Not money hungry. But love his job. He waited on us to figure out, if we still wanted it or not, didn't rush us at all even though it was almost closing time and we were asking a million and one questions. Anyway we went through with it got the piercing, he stayed open for us 30 minutes later than he was supposed to with no attitude, oh my gosh, this guy is like so dope period. My wife and I went to Allied Ink two weeks ago and met with Kez to talk about designs that we had in mind. She was great to work with! She drew up a custom flower design for my wife and a world map for myself and did the work all within a week. Very clean line work and extremely detailed. She spent about 4 hours on my wife's tattoo and about 2 1/2 on mine. She was great to chat with while she was working on them and the time flew by! i got my tattoos done by dez castaneda & she's awesome! i got my left side done first then came back a week later to get my right side. this place is cool and very clean, dez used all new materials and made sure everything was sterilized before use. she's light handed but she still got all the details i wanted. she's very fun and easy to work with which is very relieving to me because no one likes to work with someone who isnt willing to work with and give you what you want! i will definitely be coming back for more tattoos! I recently decided to get my first tattoo and started looking for shops. Visited 5 places before coming here to Allied Ink. I felt comfortable and welcomed as soon as I walked in. Kez greeted me and I explained my idea to her and we worked to come up with something.I paid my deposit and came back a few weeks later for my appointment. This review is very late. So so so very late... and that's because I've been pissed off about it forever.4 years late and I'm still pissed off about it today. In 2014 I was only 20 years old. This was my first major piece and I strategically planned this tattoo out. I picked a shop, and I picked an artist. Was willing to pay whatever it costed to have my dream piece complete. An artist who worked at Allied Ink in 2014 naked Daniel did my work. I paid him in full after my first session. As he requested. My first session included the outline and shading. He said One more session and we should be set. My second session came and I realized we needed to add a third session. He said "that's fine" let's get you on the books. My next appointment fell on the week of thanksgiving we both cancelled. He told me he would call me when it was time to reschedule. I never received that call. When I tried calling him or reaching him at the shop I did not get any responses. I went into the shop a few months after and told the owner what happened and she told me there was nothing they could do about. She also mentioned if I wanted to choose another artist it would be another $300-500 to complete. So a Tattoo I paid for in full, had to be paid for again in order to complete it. They never offered a discounted rate, or to return my money for the work. NOTHING. As a business owner you are responsible for the people you hire. If they do people wrong, you FIX it...... Also your payment policies suck. How did I lose my money and not get a complete Tattoo and you all acted oblivious!? I came into your establishment thinking I was safe from situations like this. I used Allied Ink for all my piercings and tattoo needs. Since this ordeal, I have not stepped foot in their shop. 4 years later and I still have an unfinished tattoo. I'm now 22 and regretting that I even chose this shop or to put a tattoo on my body - especially if it does not look like it was supposed to. Read Less

Went in for a tattoo with specific design ideas, and had a great conversation with Russell.  He took the time to ask me plenty of questions, and then we scheduled the tattoo for a week later.  In that week, while I was so excited about my upcoming appointment, Russell texted me his sketches, and we were able to refine the design together.  When I walked in for the ink, he was ready to go with the stencils and colors all set up.The tattoo itself was gentle (for a tattoo) and Russell showed concern for my comfort. We took a few breaks to stretch, and 4 hours later I had exactly the art I wanted!  The shop owner Ann checked in with me before and during the tattoo, and clearly in touch with each of the artists in her shop and making sure all the clients are happy.  All the other patrons seemed happy with their ink, and the shop itself was clean and bright with beautiful fixtures and inspirational art (not flash).I will go back for more ink from Russell, and I'll send my friends to him! Almost a year ago, I got my belly button piercing and I couldn't have picked a better place to go to! I met with Andrew months before getting my piercing and he was so knowledgeable. He made me trust him, which is super important when getting a piercing in my opinion. I actually came to get my septum pierced, however, he told me straight up that I didn't have enough of a sweet spot to pierce it and have it straight. Very disappointed. My gf made a week advance appointment for me and her to get tatted up for a 5pm for hers and 5:30pm for mines for Oct. 9th. They spoke few times on e-mail and she spoke and booked Ann. Yesterday came and my girl went there Ann had no knowledge about our appointment when they just spoke recently and my girl showed her the e-mail of their conversations. She was currently working on someone and wasn't professional enough to give us a call or anything ahead to reschedule. My gf looked dumb founded to know this whole damn time we waited to get tatted for a week and Ann forgot to even put us in the schedule. But it's alright. We found a better place who took us last minute and did an awesome job and twenty dollars cheaper than what she quoted for our tattoos each. Hot Ink off Marin st. Vallejo. Came in today for two tattoos by Russell. I would definitely recommend this shop and Russell himself if you're interested in getting something done. The interior of the shop itself is really clean and unique. I messaged Russell about a week ago to schedule a session with him and he was great with texting back within a reasonable time, and he only charged me $100 for the two tattoos I wanted. Upon arriving he already had the stencils made and everything. He kept asking if it was okay, and even asked while he started tattooing how I was feeling. He's very gentle with tattooing which is great on some places that are very sensitive. Although tattoos will have some pain regardless. They're wack as hell. I wanted to get a name of someone who means the universe to me. They passed away and obviously I think about them 24/7. I wanted the small six letter name on my face (above my right eyebrow). The desk broad asked me questions, making me believe the artist could do it only to come back and be like, "The artist who does face tattoos doesn't feel comfortable tattooing names." Like what? Maybe she should mind her business and tattoo the name and continue with her life. I bet she'd tattoo an ass on someone's face but wont do a name. You're wack. Got my falcon tattoo on my forearm about a week ago. Ann was perfectly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly while helping me out. You can tell she and her associates know what they're doing. For street parking in the area, it was surprisingly not hard to find a spot nearby. This is the best experience I could've asked for a first tattoo. Russel was super awesome and he gave me his ideas for my tattoo and he helped me pick my font out. He also talked to me lots while I was dealing with the pain which was super awesome. It came out even more amazing than I had imagined and I'm super glad I chose allied ink. I will definitely recommend going here to my friends and family if they are ever looking to get a tattoo or a piercing. I also found out I have hypertrophic scarring from Andrew on my nose piercing and he helped me out with getting me on the right track with a better quality stud and directions to get rid of my scarring without having to take out my piercing. I'm super thankful for all the advice and instructions, not to mention the amazing tattoo. I also felt super comfortable here, even though I was totally nervous. The vibes the employees give are great, they're super friendly. The decor is amazingly unique and gorgeous. A definite 5 stars for Allied Ink!!! Calling out Russell specifically who did the beautiful floral work on my arm. This was my first "major" piece of tattoo art and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. When I first came in the shop, I was pleasantly surprised to see how classy and posh the decor and atmosphere is - very different from what you think a standard (rugged) looking tattoo shop looks like. Russell was very patient and listened well to all of the elements I want incorporated into my tattoo. As soon as I saw the stencil, I got excited to see that it was exactly what I was wanted. The experience itself was a bit painful but definitely tolerable. Russell told me that I could take as many breaks as I wanted (but I powered through like a champ) and was very accommodating. Everyone's tolerance is different, but hey this a customized tat that you will have for the rest of your life and if a little pain is what you have to go through then deal with it. Allied Ink and Russell are both incredible gems in Vallejo. There is really no need to head to the city or anywhere else when Allied Ink has some of the most talented artists housed in a beautiful shop! My dad is even getting a portrait of my mom done by the owner Ann Fialkowski as I type this and it looks amazing already! You bet I'll be coming back here for more!
