I have had 2 full sleeve's done and Joe is Fantastic. We have become very close friends. Every time I need something re-worked he has no problem doing that. I have been treated so well and we have become such great friends. This is a great shop. Eric and Joe are very professional. I would recommend this shop 100% to all who want to get top notch work. Will not be coming back to this place. First visit I came in to get a tatoo, they didn't have time for a walk in, which was fine, but it didn't go any further. Wasn't even asked if I wanted to make an appointment or what I wanted done. The second time I came in, I was with my best friend from Colorado that came to visit, we thought at the spur of the moment to get a tattoo, this was at around 12:20pm.  We asked if we could get a tattoo. The gentleman stated he didn't have time but another artist was coming in at 12:30, so we waited. 12:50 came around and he didn't show up yet. So we left our name and number for him to call us while we did some shopping....we never received a call back.Twice now, nothing....we ended up at a different shop and our tattoos were great. My sister and i visited this shop June of this year.  Tattoo artist was really nice and i got a simple wrist tatt. He charged me $60 and i gave him a $15 tip. After a week of healing i noticed my tattoo hadn't attached completely so i contacted the shop twice leaving detailed messages. Almost 2 months passed before i recieved a callback without as much as a voicemail! I traveled from Modesto to Vacacille to check out this shop. Very dissapointed in the Customer Service. Read Less

Love my tattoo! I had Erick as the artist, and he was very accommodating at ensuring i had the right size and placement, and was happy to re-scan the stencil when the first one was too big. Very stress-free experience. Honestly I picked this place because of the reviews, and also their website is so friendly! Which they are in person too. Joe is absolutely fantastic at what he does, this being my first ever tattoo & extremely nervous, he made me feel very comfortable! It truly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I stopped by this place to see if they could squeeze me in. Right off, both Joe and Eric were super awesome, very inviting. This was not my first tattoo, but if it was I would have instantly been put at ease. I got a small piece by Joe and he did an exceptional job. Very clean (he cleaned everything in front of me and opened the necessary tools in front of me as well). Stop by and check out their portfolios, awesome linework, color and shading. You can tell Joe takes pride in his work and wants you to love your piece today and 10 years down the line. We had a great conversation while he worked on my arm. Very professional and I will definitely be back in the future for more work. The picture of my tattoo is fresh (tattoo collectors will know that means it may look a little wonky due to the ointments necessary to assist in healing) I will post another picture after the healing is complete. Joe is amazing!! My friend & I walked up around 7:30, lights were off, a man was walking to his car & I asked him if he was closed. Joe said he was heading out early but was willing to help even though he was about to leave!! Amazing.She needed a consult for a cover up & I wanted 2 small tattoos. The consult was great; Joe told her that he can work with whatever she wants. Diamonds, flowers, swirls, designs, anything.He wasn't trying to sway her to get one thing over the other just because it easier for him. He was trying to accommodate to her tattoo, not the other way around like most artists.For my tattoos, he gave me 2 font options & 2 cross options. After I picked the ones I liked, he was still willing to give me another font.After we tattooed, I saw an imperfection on my cross & that the font wasn't quite bold enough. We tattooed again. Font still wasn't bold enough. He went over it again. He went over my tattoos FOUR TIMES. He seemed absolutely happy to do so. GO TO JOE!! Read Less

I went into Tattoo Joe's a couple times leading up to getting my first tattoo. Once I talked to Joe, I knew I had found the right place. Joe and his wife are wonderful knowledgeable people. I took it what a picture of the custom tattoo I wanted and got a price.I scheduled my appointment. I brought a friend with me, who got a tattoo also. Plus a friend who was there for moral support.Joe was friendly, personable and in my opinion very talented. Over all getting my first tattoo was a GREAT experience and I will never go anywhere else. I went to Tattoo Joes and had my grandfather's name put on my ankle after he passed away. Joe did an outstanding job and did more then what I asked of him, he even did it freehand. He is VERY artistic and I will be going to him again for my Next tattoo. He also did a Raider tattoo for my husband on his arm that was absolutely amazing.
