All I have to say is that I get compliments on the portrait of my daughter that Jeff did, ALL THE TIME.Jeff is super cool, I went to him sometime August 2016 because I had an urge to get a tattoo... he did my daughter's name and when I saw his portfolios at the shop, I saw a few portraits and was in awe.He's been the only tattoo artist I've gone to in the area.My mom, dad, brother, and cousin have even seen him after seeing his work.I would say it's best to go in-person when you book your appointment, instead of over-the-phone, that way you can show him photos/ideas you like and he could start up the drawing. I came to electric voodoo after I was treated poorly at another shop. I'm now wishing I had gone here first because this shop is awesome. I called earlier in the day to see if there was time to get a piercing and the gentleman on the phone was nice and helpful. Hard to find a tattoo parlor nowadays who you can trust. My daughter got get first tattoo in 2013 and now she wanted to get another one and this time decided to drag me into it. Gabe is an amazing tattoo artist!!!! If you live around the area and wanted to get a tattoo might as well go check him out. He made a schedule for my daughter and I on a Sunday morning. The schedule was at 9am but we decided to go earlier than that and when we got there around 15 min earlier Gabe is already there ready to go. He is very professional and gave us great advice, that's something you don't get very often nowadays. Made sure we are comfortable as to how the tattoo will look like. During the session we had a nice conversation (made the time fly). My daughter is very happy with her second tattoo. As far as the place, it's really clean and the music was cool. Got my belly button pierced here. Walked in and Mikey was able to see me right away. The whole process was quick, easy and informative. The piercing portion did hurt though. More than the first time I had it done but maybe there was some scar tissue or something. I don't know I just held my breath lol. He cleaned it up and I was on my way! Read Less

I went in for my second tattoo yesterday at EVT and I couldn't be happier. A week ago I was looking for an artist to do my memorial tattoo for my father. I went in and Jeff was currently working on somebody, but welcomed me in and told me to look through his books. He then sat down with me to catch my vision and make an appointment for an opening the next week! (I was lucky, he was booked out 1.5 months). I got my chest piece done at EVT by Jeff. He is so incredible! I was impressed that he does his research when he is creating a piece. He buys books and does extensive research to ensure the tattoo is accurate and creative with a ton of different elements. He is very clean, professional, and friendly. I don't have one shop that I can say did all my work, and I have yet to have a tattoo I love for more than the sentimental value.I have called and spoken to every guy who works here.I'm not going to use names, since I'll definitely screw them up. This place is wonderful. I'm working on getting questions answered, and about doing not just the tat, but the stuff thAt personalizes the. Tattoo.These guys have taken call after call, question after question, yet still been patient and given me the confidence to do this tattoo.I get super emotional while under the gun, the guy who did my last one, walked out to take a break cuz I was talking and crying about what/who the bird symbolized.My nephew was just a baby when he died, and I needed him to understand....These guys GET that tattoos can be emotional. So i got my VERY FIRST tattoo two days ago by gabe and i absolutely love it!!! First of all, let me just say that im the BIGGEST WIMP of all time. I have low pain tolerance and im just a true baby when it comes to any kind of pain, even a damn paper cut brings a few tears to my eyes! Haha. Anyways, it took me a long time to mentally and physically prepare myself for my appt because i was terrified for life! But at the same time i wanted it really bad so i stuck to it and told myself i had to man this one out.Gabe is a great artist and made the whole process so much easier and hes funny too! So that definitely took my mind off the pain. (Tbh, the pain wasnt even as bad as i thought!) He was super chill, and the shop even plays old school music that took my mind off my tattoo process, haha. The ambience all together is just super laid back, i loved it. For my first tattoo, I took to Yelp to find a shop with skilled artists and a professional atmosphere. I knew it was a stretch, given that tattoo shops are supposed to be tough places. I am glad I did. The tattoo artist that I was looking for was Jeremy, based on a previous review. I took to him a ring that had a sculpture of a skull and the medical caduceus and he hooked me up with an awesome piece of workHe knew it was my first time getting inked and was sympathetic to the pain, talking me through the ink he was doing and letting me know when shit was about to get real. Jeremy has done all 3 of my tattoos, and I love his work. I am incredibly happy with the way they turned out. All his art in the shop is really good too. He has done most my husbands tattoos, has done a great job, and has a great sense of color/shading. He is also super easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable from the first meeting. My first tattoo was a small one on my lower stomach and as a woman I was a little nervous about it, but he is super nice and professional. The shop is nice and clean and the guys are nice.
