I have been tattooed by both Nate and Brant and have zero complaints. Most recently Brant took my toddler-like scribble of Saturn and a crescent moon and turned it into a Milky Way with those symbols and some killer stars. It's an amazing, creative piece that I am beyond thankful for-- Brant also took the liberty of making the piece universal so that it could eventually be worked into a much larger piece (a full sleeve even). I am definitely going to be coming back to allow him the opportunity to take some elements and run with the idea because his talent speaks for itself. The shop is clean, there is literally a bunch of work all over the shop, and Brant posts his pieces to Facebook all the time. Brant also made sure to tell me that I may come back after my tattoo heals if there is any area that requires a touch-up or something I may want fixed up a bit-- true customer service. Additionally, my experience with Nate (maybe a year or so ago) was fantastic, and he too took the liberty of personalizing my tattoo to my tastes and fixed up a tattoo I had gotten previously. You can literally do no wrong with either artist, and I know that I have my two guys for any in-town pieces. Not to mention the fact that both Nate and Brant are very easy-going, make for good conversation, and are all about working within your budget (if you have one), and making sure you're satisfied. If I could give zero stars, I would. I contacted the owner of this shop (who a friend recommended against, as he had butchered a tattoo on this friend, but I was desperately seeking ink) around noon and asked about a next day appointment. He said he could book me, and I asked if he had a portfolio I could check out before booking the appt. He seemed to get a little weird that I dare ask to see his work. When I arrived at the shop, he had a scowl on his face and was on his phone the entire time I looked at his portfolio. No, "Let me know if there's anything I can do to help, or answer any questions." Because I'm a little compulsive at times, I went ahead and booked the appointment for the following day, despite the fact that some of his portfolio looked like a 12 year old did it. His lettering looked ok, and that's what I wanted so I gave him a $60 deposit. Immediately after leaving his shop my adult-self kicked in and I regretted making the appointment. 90 minutes later I went back to the shop to see if I could get my $60 back, and he refused. I ended up telling him it was worth the $60 just to not ever let him put ink on my body. $60 life lesson, but it's still better than tattoos that I'll hate for the rest of my life. It's been several years now... but I went in with an idea, explained what I was looking for to Brant and he banged out artwork that blew my mind. I still get comments.
