I got my septum pierced by Brian. The experience was great- kept me calm and joked with me. However, my septum got pierced way too low and developed bumps right after. I went in to get it checked by Brian and to see if it was infected, he took a quick glance and told me it was fine and to just keep it cleaner. I kept it clean with sea salt soaks and after getting my piercing looked at by another piercer when the bumps were not getting any better, they confirmed it was pierced too low. So yeah, great customer service but horrible piercing outcome. I'm left with taking out the piercing, hoping it heals and the bumps go away and possibly getting it repierced at another place. Came here wanting a simple tattoo of an outline of the California state and the guy there told us he's the only guy in the county that can do that tattoo and draw a straight line and tried to charge us 300-400$. 2 hours later we got that same tattoo done at a different shop for only 120$. Also upon walking in, he greeted us laying down on the sofa not wanting to get up telling us to hold on. Terrible customer service. If your considering getting a tattoo done at this shop, I strongly suggest going somewhere else or check out other shops because they're just going to try to upcharge you. Read Less

DO NOT GET ANY TYPE OF PIERCING FROM THIS SHOP. if i could give this place a lower rating i would!!! a while back, a friend and i spontaneously chose to get matching nipple piercings. we did a little bit of research for shops nearby and decided this place would be a safe place to go. now the staff was super friendly at first and the woman who did our piercings was very calming and informative as far as care. however, we were both very nervous and it almost felt as if they were making fun of us towards the end. anyways, when it came time to actually get pierced my friend and i experienced a tremendous amount of pain. we were pierced sitting up (which after actually researching nipple piercings we learned was wrong) and when it came time to change the rings my friend learned her piercing went in from her nipple, into the breast area, and back out the other side of her nipple. she obviously had to have it re-pierced immediately.i am aware the blame is mainly on my friend and i for not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into, however i hope this review will serve as caution to anyone considering a piercing here and also a friendly reminder to DO YOUR RESEARCH before getting any type of body modification (unlike my friend and i) !!! I was first pierced here back in January after reading multiple Yelp reviews, getting both a helix ($45) and a single lobe piercing ($25), thinking the whole process went great. After getting multiple piercings at other shops since then, I felt the need to write a full and updated review. I want to start off by saying that all of the workers I encountered here were extremely friendly and funny throughout the process that day, but looking back now I honestly feel like I was being rushed and fooled. For both piercings, I was never asked where specifically I wanted them to be placed, and only had an option for my jewelry with the lobe piercing (about 6 choices). I was never asked how far up or down or really any details on the exact placement of my piercings. And since I didn't know any better at the time, I went along with it. I only had one "option" with the jewelry being used on my helix, only seeing them (or really it) after a needle was already through my ear. I asked my piercer if there was anything else I had to choose from, and he told me that this was the standard for helix piercings until they fully healed. And again, since I didn't know any better, I went along with it. Looking back, I know I'm partly to blame for not being more educated and questioning throughout the process, but that's also what professionals should be for. With the purchase of both piercings, a cleaning solution, and tip, I think it all totaled to be about $95.When the piercings finally healed enough later for me to be able to change out my earring, my new piercer at a separate shop informed me that not only was the helix jewelry too short in length, but it was also of poor quality. The earring (though I have no idea what type of metal it was) was an externally threaded flat back stud, which happens to be one of the cheaper kinds for helix piercings. Though the flat-back does help decrease snagging and pulling, the external threading of the earring actually increases your risk of infection and can even prolong the healing time. If it weren't for my experience elsewhere, I honestly would have never known that my piercing experience here was less than subpar. I truly think all the workers are great people at heart, but I also think more effort should be taken into providing quality piercings for customers. Where do I begin. When you first walk into this shop you are overwhelmed by the display of art all over the walls from previous tattoos and the mass selection of piercings. You are immediately welcomed by all staff and helped ASAP. They make you feel very comfortable and attend to you in any way they can to make the experience that much better.  Matt is the absolute OG when it comes to tatts. I have checked out many artists and have only gone to him, and will never go elsewhere. He is a master at everything, portraits and all designs. He absolutely killed my first piece which was a portrait of my childhood dog that passed. And is in the process of my beautiful sleeve that he started. You take him your idea and he transforms it into a master piece...Literally. This guy is dedicated and passionate in his field in the art of tattoos and you can definitely see it in his eyes. He makes you feel confident that he will take care of you and boy does he. Matt really gets down on the needle and is very precise. He has astonishing line work and phenomenal shading that will leave you ecstatic. He is patient and never rushes his work. He takes his time and in result always has amazing quality. 2 words. Brian Wall. I've gotten 2 tattoos from him in the last 2 months alone. I have absolutely no pain tolerance but I love tattoos. It's a love/hate relationship. So every time I go to get one, tattoo artists in the past have always given me shit about it and made me feel like crap. Brian would joke about it but he has never had a problem with me needing multiple breaks and will talk and joke around while tattooing just to keep my brain occupied. I got my lower lip pierced here. The experience was good, though the stud was way too short for my lip. The next two days after I had gotten it pierced were tough to talk, eat and move my lip in general. The stud started sinking in on the inside on my lip. I ended up going to The Laughing Buddha Body Piercing, which is closer to my house, and they helped me remove and replace the stud. I didn't even kept the original jewelry as the stud was too small for my lip, even when healed.I got "use some mouthwash" as after care instructions... which was not nearly enough... especially with the swelling. Thank god I had the Laughing Buddha Body Piercing close to me, as my body could have healed over the sinking stud.I was told the amount of swelling should not have occurred, and it happened due to the stud being too small for my lip. Very unsatisfied, and will not be coming back. The person who pierced me should have been knowledgeable enough to put a longer stud in my lip, knowing it would need room to swell and heal. Read Less

Matthew tattooed me for my birthday. I had a letter written my a cousin from about 9 years ago. He copied her writing perfectly and gave me amazing advice on placement of the tattoo. I originally wanted it on my back but left with it in my inner arm. Absolutely love it, it looks amazing. He was super friendly and took a lot of time to work with me and make sure everything was as perfect as it could be. Her signature was a little messed up and he asked me if I had another letter for reference. I brought it in the next day and he adjusted the signature to make it as authentic as it could've. The munchkin wanted to get her top ear cartilage pierced (helix?) for her 18th birthday. After calling around a few places and reading reviews, I decided to take her in to Platinum Ink. The shop is small but bright and clean. Brian ended up helping us and his laid back, dry humor definitely put any jitters we had at ease. After going back and forth, we decided on not only just the helix but also a 2nd ear piercing---hey, it was going to be her 18th bday after all! Brian explained that he would use a piercing gun for the standard 2nd piercing and a needle for the helix. She had initially wanted a loop for the helix but he explained that they only pierce with studs for better healing. After several weeks once it healed, we could come back to have it changed out to a hoop. I had mine pierced over 2 decades ago with a hoop and had a terrible healing process. So this made a lot of sense to me because it was constantly getting caught on my hair or irritated while I slept. All in all, in was a really quick process. Price was very reasonable ($45 for helix and $25 for addl piercing--jewelry included) but most importantly, there wasn't a moment that I felt uncomfortable. Read Less

I went into the shop earlier this year to get my nipples pierced. I was greeted right away, I remember I had to wait maybe five minutes and sign their waiver and went right on back to get the job done. The lady who did them was super chill and made me feel comfortable. I wish I remembered her name, she was great. She explained how I had to care for the piercing and advised I should get the solution, which by the way I love, it worked great, i even went back to buy another one. I had the worst experience ever!! I went to them to get my nose pierced.First of all the guy that did it didn't even ask what kind of stud and what size i would like he just assumed that i would like the shittiest one, and that stud happens to be a nose bone, which is awful and if you're the experienced piercer you should know that, that shit was too short to be on a nose thatsJust healing, literally the first night with the piercing the fucking stud fell out when i was asleep the next morning after looking everywhere for it and finally finding it after an hour i tried putting it in goes in everythings good until i take a shower the fucking nose bone falls and gets lost!!! So i had to go out get a new one but i couldnt get a nose ring or a screw or a fucking L shaped stud BECAUSE my healing nose could not take a curved stud because it should've been pierced with a curved or an L shaped stud in the first place, so it wouldnt just pop out and fall!!! I have gotten my ears pierced before as well as my belly button and usually when I go the piercer they just do it very quickly without asking me for my preference in placing or anything.. But here Cece was so patient with my friend and I and asked us exactly what we wanted! She was extremely sweet and personal! The piercer that I went to was a sweetheart and I really adore her because she was so kind; however, I am very frustrated with the situation. I went in for a nose piercing and was pierced with a "nose bone" stud which is basically a straight nose stud without a backing. I did a lot of research and found out that fresh piercings should NOT be performed with this kind of jewelry because:1. They are extremely short and does not leave enough room for swelling (I could barely see the back end of the stud inside my nostril because its so short)2. They are extremely prone to falling out because it does not have a backing3. Nose bone studs are only good for piercings that are fully healedI am a very logical person and I am not the type to question what a professional says, but I SERIOUSLY cannot understand the logic behind this. Why would you choose jewelry that is most prone to falling out, for a fresh piercing that is likely to close within moments?She mentioned that she doesn't trust nose screws because the screw end could be inhaled and go into the lung, and I completely understand this argument. But if thats the case, an L-shaped stud should have been used instead of a nose bone. I talked to all of my friends with nose piercings and they completely agreed that this was the wrong protocol. Also, this is my second time getting my nose pierced so I already have a basic understanding of how it should have went.Mine already fell out the on the 3rd day because I accidentally brushed it with my hand, but I was lucky enough to have found the tiny stud and shoved it back in. Of course it hurt like a *****.I called the piercer to see if she could swap out my current jewelry with an L-shaped stud instead, but she refused to because it would "hurt like heck".I called the regular piercer that I usually go to (I didn't go to her this time around because Platinum Ink OC is close to my work) and she was baffled by this situation as well. She told me that she would gladly switch it out for me.In all, I can't say that I'm happy with this experience. I constantly have to worry about this stud falling out of my nose and ultimately, my piercing closing up. I really wish I could give this place a good rating because the staff was so friendly. But in the end, I feel like my time and money has been wasted. I really hope that this review encourages her to research more and use the correct jewelry next time around so that other customers don't experience the same situation as me. Read Less

No auto clave, used a piercing gun on my friend's lobes, opened clamps with bare hands, changed her gloves once MAYBE, suggested my friend clean her piercing with contact solution??When I sounded hesitant about the gun she told me that it was fine and she only used it for lobes, not cartilage, citing that she was knowledgeable. I didn't see her wash her hands and after picking up a discarded clamp bag on the side of the chair, she didn't change her gloves. For my other friend's tongue piercing she took the jewelry out of the display case, put it in an 1/8 inch of what looked like alcohol or saline and put it in his tongue. I'm hopeful that they'll be fine with a strict cleaning regime of sea salt soaks (not contact solution, like damn) with all the great reviews on here but I wouldn't recommend this place, if only just from the lack of autoclave and piercing guns.Let's be real: Claire's sanitizes their piercing guns more than her. Me and my friend went and got matching tattoos while I was out in California and now we regret going to platinum ink and the artist was to into the football game the whole time instead of his clients. Got a cover up by Ian, good tattoo pleasant experience. My girlfriend liked it and made an appointment as well. She liked her tattoo, my daughter liked both and decided on getting a piece finished on her neck. We went in and saw Ian, he agreed to finish the tattoo and we made an appointment for the next day at 12:00. My daughter lives in Glendora and she drove out here for her appointment. As we pulled up to the shop another artist was just getting there and he told us Ian was not coming in today as he was not feeling well. He actually called him as we waited and then told us that he was not going to make it. This is all fine if he can't make it have some respect for your customers and call them, he called the other artist to have him open for him. But for all disappointment come something good. It took me 9 years to get the courage to walk into a tattoo shop and get my flower covered. I received my first tattoo by someone I was dating in my early 20's. when we broke up, it was never finished, and I never sat in a chair again.Now 32, I figured, it's time. I just applied for a job that would move me out of state, where I'm able to live on my own and save up for my own house. I came on yelp and I googled tat shops in my area, and this one popped up and the reviews were constant 5 stars. so, it being 6 minutes from where I live, I went in for a talk to see where I would end up. I met Adrian, and we spoke for a bit and he told me to text him later when the other artist came in. So I went on with my day. The shop is small, and everyone is super friendly. The owner, matt & his wife and the artists: Adrian, Tyler (and I think 1 more I didn't meet) they make you feel at home right away, which  was comforting for me because my palms were sweating even for just saying "hello." I ended up going back later for a consultation and Matthew was my artist. He was hilarious, right off the bat we got along like peas and carrots. I came in the next day after work for a sit down and to get some drawing ideas. We laughed a good part of the time, and I even met the shop dog. She's a cutie! We came up with a drawing, and I saw the gears in his head turning. he came up with a great picture, and I was excited to see it come into reality. Fast Forward a week later, I'm in the chair. leg shaved and washed and ready to go. let me tell you 4 hours flies by when you're laying there. but we took breaks, chatted a lot, and even saw some clients come in and out for other people. I felt at home, when we spoke, we laughed, we joked, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. Tyler was sketching today while Matthew worked on my leg. him and I spoke, and he's super friendly. not one person made me feel out of place or not wanted there. (which I've had in other shops going with friends.) A couple times I bit onto myself when Matthew reached the "f-you spot" on my lower ankle. but I didn't cry (go me!) We took breaks so I could walk around. No rushing, slow pace, relaxed. After my tattoo was finished I was astonished on how beautiful it was. Now I have my Ca poppy and my Tx rose. 2 places that have lots of importance to me now and forever. I cant thank Matthew enough for helping me cover something I've been hiding for 9 years. as I told Tyler; "Now I want to shave my legs and wear shorts!" I recommend this place to everyone I speak with. if you're scared, don't be. I'm sure they'd give you a hug if you asked. Good businesses run by good people makes for happy clients. The prices are amazing, everything is clean, sterile and they hold up the tattoo artist tradition very well here.
