Found Mike D. And Old Rose Tattoo On Instagram a few months ago and came to find out my hubby has been to numerous people at the shop over the years. The shop is intimate and everyone seems to be having a good time in there. Mike D is  super easy to make an appt with through the messaging part of Instagram and is very quick to respond. If calling is easier Jeanie at the front is awesome at scheduling and keeping the place in tip top shape too! Ive found over the years that it's a dice roll when you meet a new tattoo artist because they can be intimidating. Not mike! He's super energetic and easy to talk too. Got my first tattoo done by David and I'm not quite happy with the experience. I don't even know where to start... First of all the tattoo is completely crooked and doesn't match up with the photo I sent him. Also some of the ink isn't even, for example on the bottom of the tattoo the line is too thick and on the side it's too thin. What I'm really not happy with is that I asked him if he can redo the stencil so it's more rounded where it's circled in the photo but he stated "it looks just fine". Seriously? It's permanent ink on my body and I wanted to be happy with it. But clearly I'm not. He didn't take my request into consideration. Now I'm stuck with a crooked heart on my wrist. Read Less

Super rad shop.  All the artist, as a team, make for one cool family of peeps.  Customer service is on point.  Be cool and get cool in return.  Swung by for the Tats for toys drive.  Really amazing to see all those toys raised for the kids.  What a busy day of tattooing for the ORT team for such a great cause.  Always a feel good moment to be a part of communities that pull together to give back.  Even with the chaos of $20 tats, the team stayed in check and on point with everything.  Their tats were all bomb and worth way more than what was paid.  I hope everyone was tipping heavy! Any one of these artist are worth coming back to grab another banger from, regardless of a discounted price.  I can't wait to get back in and set up my next session with one of these guys. In Temecula for casino and girls night but wanted to get a tattoo. Have 3 others from various artists (mostly while in Vegas) and decided to get one in Temecula, while here. Looked up a couple of places but based on reviews and Facebook comments, plus pics posted I went with Old Rose.I was a walk in and they were able to take me. I knew what I wanted but didn't have any pics just description. Max was my artist. He was patient with me as he asked what I wanted, size, colors, etc. He drew a picture and showed me and I told him it was a little too big so he scaled it down and it was perfect.He helped with location too as I knew I wanted it on my back or shoulder but not sure exactly where. Facility itself was cleanly and friendly.  In and out in 1 1/2 hours.  Would recommend to anyone and would go back. Not too expensive either and he actually charged less than originally quoted. I walked into Old Rose a couple of weeks ago to get small tattoo Mike D did the tattoo and it came out great. i went back in a couple of weeks later to get a much larger piece and it blew my expectations out of the water. Talented artists, none the less, my advice would be DO NOT put down a deposit until you've already sat and verified the work. Maybe that was just a rookie mistake on my part. I came in and explained what I wanted with photo references. I was told a specific artist could do it and he verified. Then I came in to find my piece just seemed like flash art. There was nothing about it that was individualized to the things I asked! When I asked for a redraw and told specifically of what, he informed me that he would try but that wouldn't look good. THEN WHY DID YOU GUYS TELL ME YOU COULD DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE? They would not refund my deposit so I choose something simple I've always liked to hurry up and get done and get out of there. As I was sitting waiting I watched a girl come in for a tattoo and she told her artist what she wanted and he started talking her out of it!! He told her to pick something else! wth?! Visited this shop while in Temecula and was tattooed by Mike, who did an awesome job on my tattoo. I really appreciate that he took his time, allowing me to take breaks. I showed him what I wanted and he created a great tattoo with one day notice. I do suggest you go in to the shop and consultant with the artist so they have time to work on your tattoo before you go in to have the tattoo done. Came from Vegas and my cousin & I wanted to get matching tattoos last minute. Called up multiple places for a good reasonable price. I got quoted the most ridiculous prices in the other places for a small wrist tattoo. Good thing I found OR. Jess who was sweet and very welcoming allowed us to get one as soon as we walked in. Mike, our tattoo artist was awesome! The price he gave was reasonable af compared to $150 that some other lady quoted me on. Aside from their spectacular service and skills, you'll fall in love with their place. I have gotten tattoos before and lots of tattoo places look ver sketch, unorganized and junky. But this place, you can tell they're all professional artist and they take their business seriously. Walked in with a clean atmosphere and smelt good. You know how in some tattoo shops you kind of get that "I'm an artist and I'm better than you vibe?" Not at Old Rose, everyone was super down to earth and helped me walk out with one of the best tattoos I have ever seen. And I used to watch LA Ink! I worked with My artist Jasmine and had no problems tweaking a few issues I had with the initial sketch, until it looked like they downloaded the image I had in my brain straight into my skin. This shop will berate you on social media for asking for a 20 min touch up after 10+ hours of paid work.What's weird is I totally didn't mind the mistake, shit happens, artists miss their stencils once in a while. I was perfectly happy with the fix and had no bad blood. Then put on blast on social media by shop employees because it's apparently outrageously picky for someone to want the tattoo they'll have for the rest of their lives to look like the sketch they approved. Just felt like getting something new other than tribal (they seem to specialize in American Traditional), and a worker named Aaron took care of me! RIGHT when I walked in he asked if I needed help with anything. I told him what I was looking for, two hands shaking with emphasis on a flower decor and he designed it right then and there! No appointment needed, he got right to it once he designed it. He made sure I was as comfortable as possible checking up on me in once in a while during the session. Made a last minute call to see if they could squeeze an appointment in. I dealt with Aaron and he was super accommodating and easy to work with. They got me in and worked with my schedule (needed a babysitter). The shop is in a nice location. Looks nice from the parking lot...classy signage and well marked. Parking was easy. But, inside is where it really shines! Beautifully decorated with traditional tattoo flash that is interesting, colorful and well displayed. Plus, it's flash that people would actually want! Nice, comfortable waiting area with portfolios from the artists for your review. I really liked the collection of art and taxidermy that was presented in addition to the flash. Really a neat feeling place...a good vibe. Music was playing, but not so loudly you couldn't talk. And, clean! The place was super, super clean! Which, obviously is a huge concern for a tattoo shop. Aaron greeted me and showed me the piece he'd drawn up. It was nearly perfect! He quickly made the small additions I asked for and got to work. A comfortable and clean table to lie on while he tattooed, an easy going attitude and a skilled hand. Great, very clean lines! I was very impressed with his skill, both what he did and in his portfolio. What a great find in the Temecula valley. My siblings and I stopped into a tattoo shop in San Diego and David Flores happened to be the only one there that night and couldn't take us. As it turned out, he was a guest tattooist at that shop and he owns his own shop so much closer to home for us! After a quick consultation, we set up our appointments, paid our deposits, and emailed him details of what we wanted.The shop is beautiful, very clean, and there is TONS of art on the walls for inspiration and something to look at while getting tattooed.David did an amazing job on my tattoo and it turned out exactly as I wanted. The colors and details are perfect! He works really fast too, which is a huge plus. I love that he doesn't get distracted and even when he's talking and socializing, he doesn't stop tattooing.
